Chapter 12 - TKWTR 012

"Really? It's nice to hear you say that," replied Rowena, looking pleased at Sir Cedric's compliment.

"By the way when are you going to visit your father, Rowena?" asked Sir Damian.

Rowena thought for a moment then replied, "According to my plan, after lunch I'm going to visit Duchy Ellien to find out about my father's whereabouts."

"You don't have to bother looking for your father's whereabouts, Rowena. When you said you were going to visit your father in Duchy Ellien, I already ordered someone to investigate your father's whereabouts," said Prince Helios who was focused on cutting the meat on his plate with a knife.

Rowena dropped her knife and fork in shock at Prince Helios' words. "From the bottom of my heart, very grateful to you, Your Majesty. Can I meet the person you appointed to find out where my father is? I want him to lead me to where my father is."

Prince Helios put his knife and fork on the table and smiled warmly at Rowena. "This is still nothing compared to the benefits Sunverro has made on you. Then we'll visit your father after lunch. I'll be the one to lead you there myself."

Rowena immediately ordered the maid to serve dessert so she could quickly visit her father. "Well, if you say it like that then I can only say thank you."

After finishing their meal, the four of them set off in a horse-drawn carriage. In such a hurry, Rowena forgot to change her clothes. It was certain that when she got off the horse carriage, she would definitely be the center of everyone's attention.

For about forty minutes Rowena had to endure the hangover from the constant rocking of the horse-drawn carriage. Finally the suffering she felt was over after they arrived at their destination. The men get down from there first. Sir Damian stood at the exit of the horse carriage and stretched out his hand. Rowena gracefully took Sir Damian's hand and got off the chariot that had made her feel like she was in hell.

Rowena's eyes were trying to find out where she was now. According to her vision this place was a slum area for poor people. Her heart suddenly skipped a beat. How could Edgar, whom she considered her own father, to live in such a shabby place for more than five years.

Everyone from parents to small children stared at the four of them continuously because of their appearance which could be said to be very conspicuous. Especially Rowena who really looks like a noble.

There was a weak looking little girl pulling Rowena's long skirt slowly to ask for something. Rowena knelt down and adjusted her height to the little girl's height. She stroked the little girl's hair gently.

"Hey, little girl. What's your name?" Rowena asked.

"My name is Lena, Beautiful Lady."

"So Lena, is there something you want to tell me?"

Lena nodded her head then replied, "I heard from people that a woman who wears luxurious clothes is a noble lady who has a lot of money and wealth. Can I ask you for money, Beautiful Lady? My sister is sick and she needs medicine and food, but because we were poor we couldn't take him to the doctor and give him food."

The little girl began to sob. "I love my sister very much and I don't want to lose her. Can you help me, Beautiful Lady? As a fee I can be your servant or slave."

Rowena hugged Lena tightly and tried to calm her down. "Okay, I'll help you. So don't cry anymore, Lena."

Rowena let go of her hand. Then she removed a pair of diamond earrings from her ears, a gold necklace from her neck, and a silver bracelet from her hands. She used the cloth wrapped around her hands to wrap all the jewelery she had removed and gave it to the little girl.

"Lena, you can sell all this jewelry to buy food and take your sister to the doctor. Also in return I want you to help everyone here with the rest of the money," Rowena said.

Lena bent down and started crying again. "Thank you, Beautiful Lady. I really thank you."

"Then one more thing, I want to ask you something. Do you know where the house of an old man named Edgar Ernest is?" Rowena said.

"I know! If you want to go there, I can take you and your friends," replied Lena.

"Then I beg your help."

Lena was leading the way to lead the four of them, while Rowena was walking hand in hand with Prince Helios, then behind them were Sir Cedric and Sir Damian.

"To think you have a soft heart like a woman," said Prince Helios.

Rowena looked at Prince Helios with a furrowed brow. "What do you mean, Your Majesty? I have always been a woman. After all, shouldn't we help others in need."

"Yes, you have a point too."

"Then forgive me for giving your jewelry to that little girl, Your Majesty."

"No problem. As long as the goal is for the welfare of the people, I won't mind it at all. After all, the jewelry is also yours," Prince Helios replied.

"Then when we arrive at Terania castle, I want to check the books of this kingdom's finances. How can that damn king abandon his people like this? I'm very sure if he uses state money for spree," Rowena grumbled.

"It seems you like this Kingdom very much. If you like it so much, I can give this Kingdom to become your territory. Besides, I don't think there is anyone suitable to take care of this kingdom other than you," Prince Helios offered.

Without further thought or preamble, Rowena immediately replied, "If you wish to give me this Kingdom, I will gladly accept, Your Majesty."

"Then from today onwards, the Terania Kingdom is yours. After we return to Valeccio's palace, I'll have Leo take care of the approval papers."

Sir Cedric and Sir Damian who were walking behind them had facial expressions that were hard to describe after hearing the conversation between Rowena and Prince Helios. How could Prince Helios talk about giving a kingdom to Rowena so easily like he was making a sale and purchase transaction in the market.

Finally they arrived in front of a very shabby house. Even the roof was destroyed. After arriving there Rowena told Sir Damian to take Lena back to her house.

After Sir Damian left them, Rowena stepped into the house. The more she looked, the more she realized that the house was really very unfit for human habitation. Inside she saw a bed occupied by an old man he knew.

Hearing the sound of someone entering his house, the old man tried to get up and sit on his bed. That's when the old man and Rowena looked at each other for a long time.

"Rowena," the old man called.
