Shouldn't have gone to my College that day, now I am regretting it. The moment he hit me accidentally, I fell for him. Oh Yeah! I am Sophia, 19, and nothing to say about my boring life. Ah, I was talking about me regretting not to have to go to my college, that was the day when my life messed up. He is Leo Jacques, my love. I was walking to my class when a boy, slightly elder than me, came running towards me. I was frightened and closed my eyes. Suddenly I had a fist on my nose and it broke! I was fainting.
"STOP!... WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" Lara, My friend, shouted as she pushed through the crowd and had used her petite body to try and protect me from further abuse. Later when I opened my eyes I saw myself in the college clinic and my nose in Band-Aids. A boy came close to me (*the same guy who hit me*) and said sorry. He explained, "I was chasing a guy who was teasing some girls and he hid behind you, then I raised my hand to hit him, he bent and the fist had an impact on you" He apologized again and again until I accepted his apologies. He then raised his hand and asked, "Friends?". I smiled and shook hands with him. I asked his name and he asked mine, "Sophia Jones" I answered. That was my day of the month, so mom told me not to go to college, but unfortunately, I came to college and got a fractured nose. WOW! How do moms predict the future? I feel that mom can see the future. And that day's college time finished and I stayed in the clinic all day, mom came to pick me up. I too wanted to go home and sit on my couch and chill watching 'Stranger Things' on NETFLIX. Soon, the classes were dismissed and I was supported by my mom to get into the car. That guy, Leo, came to say Hi. My mom asked who that guy was, 'THE ONE WHO BROKE MY NOSE' I said sarcastically. He waved his hand and said, "see you later" and smiled.
He was Hot, I heard that he was the crush of almost all girls of the city (* its a metaphor *). Adding to his mystique was the fact that his parents were considered some of the most Generous and Rich in our entire city. Before the junior year ended, rumours started circulating that his family was going to donate tens and thousands of dollars to redo the football field. They were well off. Why? I didn't have a clue. But when the school term started a few weeks ago, the goalposts were sparkling, the paint on the field was still fresh, and the bleachers were no longer covered in rust and multi-coloured gum. The Jacques-es came through.
After reaching home I rushed to the washroom and looked at my face in the mirror. My nose was red and swollen, but still, the band-aids were irritating me. I took them off and my nose bleeds for a while and later clotted. Don't know why but I felt like bathing, and while I was undressing, I saw a Note in my skirt pocket. It has a Cell Phone number and a name with Smile emoji. LEO. What!, he is flirting with me? Maybe, but I was reddened in shyness. I was blushing. For a while, I kept staring at that note. Then it dawned onto me that I was standing in the middle of my room, half-naked! I ran to the shower and stood there for a while. When I was finally relieved, I came out with the bathrobe. I preferred shorts and over Skirts, I wore my shorts and called my sisters to watch Stranger Things. They came running, they don't care about how I am, they didn't get down from their bed when I came home, I was expecting a Sympathetic Welcoming. But nothing happened as I thought. I rushed towards the big couch, where I could sit COMFY. Shit! there was a power cut! Why now!
I walked towards my room in disappointment, and then I remembered something. The Phone number that Leo gave me. 'Should I call him?' I was in doubt. After a debate with myself, I decided to call him.
