WHERE AM I? "No worries! You are doing great. You are in your home." I heard a voice speak. It was Andrew. He sounded as though everything was normal. WAIT A MINUTE... WASN'T I SUPPOSED TO BE THERE AT THE HALLOWEEN PARTY AT LEO'S? WHY AM I IN MY HOME RIGHT NOW? "Why am I not at the Halloween Party?" I questioned Laura, who was bringing some drinks for me. "Well, you fainted at the party. We had to carry you home " she answered. It was then it dawned onto me that Leo proposed to some other girl and they kissed desperately in front of the gathering. Tears were flowing down my eyes. " Come on Sophie, you have to get over it! Life doesn't give everything that you want, that's not how life works" Andrew said consolingly. "Yea, this idiot is right, this is reality and you have no choice but to accept it. There's nothing we can do about it. Even if we could, I swear it's not as nice as it seems for you." She added to the words of Andrew. I GUESS SHE'S RIGHT BECAUSE SHE FACED THE HARSH SIDE OF HUMAN LIFE IN A VERY YOUNG AGE, SHE WAS 14 WHEN SHE WAS SEXUALLY ASSAULTED.
When she was 14, a guy in her class came and confessed his feelings for her. He looked handsome so she said that she liked him too. They both were kind of dating for a couple of months and one day, that guy asked her to hook up with him, she tried to convince him about their age. But that monster never listened to her. He called his friends. They assaulted her. Still, no action was taken against those motherfucking bastards. She had experienced the rough phase of her life at 14. People have shown some sympathy But still, no commiseration or condolences could change the past. The world doesn't give a fuck about you, no matter you are blind, dumb, deaf or dead! Nothing matters to anyone.
"But... I am not saying that you should never love anyone. You could, that's entirely your choice. There would be one guy in the fucking huge universe who truly loves you sincerely no matter what you look like or what kind of girl you are. He would be loyal to you. The thing is PATIENCE, wait till he comes to your life and makes you feel special. All you can do now it wait." she suggested, interrupting my thoughts. "Yeah! Patience is the key. And we can not expect you to be absolutely normal all of a sudden now. Of course, it is difficult for you to forget it. Meditate, keep yourself engaged in some of the other activity, that might work." Andrew joined. I felt that too as a great idea.
I signalled both to come closer and hugged them. " I love you guys, you both are the best thing that could ever have happened to me. Thanks for having my back at such situations". "Shut up Sophie! I actually owe you one." she commented. I hugged them again and thanked them again. "Who wants to have some drinks !!" Andrew destroyed the emotional vibe that filled my room. We both looked at him and laughed. We enjoyed it for the rest of the day. And at the end of the day, they had to go to their homes. I asked for a sleepover, but their parents wanted them to go to their homes. It would be too selfish if I had them with me for two entire days. That wouldn't be great. That night I did two things. 1) Deleted Leo's contact number and decided to not meet him intentionally ever in my life. 2) Besieged to god for the first time in my life. Even though I have been a theist for my entire life, I never prayed. So ...
