"The person You are calling is not accepting calls at this time, you can leave a voice note after the BEEP". I didn't speak a word. I let the beep end. I didn't dare to call again. 5 minutes later, the power was back. So I rushed to my seat in front of the TV.
As expected, my sisters occupied my seat. I sat on the UNCOMFORTABLY small couch. And we started watching Stranger Things. We almost finished the series, just 3 more episodes and I will be among the many waiting for Season 4.
We continued watching the series till the night and then slept. A week passed like a year. Finally, after a week, I got the approval from our family doc that I can continue with my college. That night went so damn slow.
As I got ready for college the next morning, I was thankful that I had taken my medicines properly that my nose got better. Jessie would appreciate me making her have one as a pre-emptive strike against a hangover with Leo as well, even though she was pissed about it at the time. I told her about me having a crush on him, the day before. Thought not to say to Emily, she is so bad at keeping secrets. I downed a couple of painkillers and another bottle of water for the slight nose ache I had. Then I snuck into Jessie's room and quietly left the same items, along with a piece of buttered cinnamon bread and some orange slices, on her bedside table. She looked so peaceful and sweet lying there. It made me wish there was a way for me to make her see in herself all of the wonderful qualities that I saw in her.
I was excited to meet him and then to go to my college. He called me a couple of times after the day I called him, but I didn't answer his calls, neither to his messages, I left him on read. I usually am late for my classes but not today, I was half an hour earlier. I saw a McLaren 540C Coupé at the main gate of our college, an orange one. It was damn cool. I remember seeing it somewhere. Then I saw a guy coming out of the car, LEO. He saw me and waved his hand in excitement. I can't help but wave my hand too. He walked closer to me and I towards him. All of a sudden I felt like time is moving so Slow. Everything around me felt unreal, as I moved towards him. He shook my hand and bought me back from my imaginations. I smiled. He did so. He asked if I was fine.
"YES, feeling better now". He examined my nose and said, "It still doesn't look fine". I felt like I should avoid this topic here, so I said, "The car is so cool, is it yours?". He nodded. "Yes, it is one of my favourite cars, but Bugatti La Voiture Noire is my bias. I could offer you a ride on it if you are Ok with it" I secretly had obsessions for supercars. I replied that it would be great. Right then, I heard the bells ring, it was time for the class. "I've got to Go. C'ya later". He looked a bit disappointed but said bye. I just kept thinking of him all day and his supercars.
I was daydreaming until my professor hit me on my head with a chalk piece. It was embarrassing, all of my friends laughed at me. I was waiting for my lessons to end fast so that I could meet my guy. I CALLED HIM MY BOY!! I was blushing again. After a 5 hour long lecture, we had a break for having Lunch. I came to the window for some fresh air, then I heard some girls talking about how sexy Leo was. I got mad at that moment and felt like not being there. I moved away from there, for the moment.
