Chapter 22 - The End Of The Jungle

"What's your name?"

"Master, I don't have one; my den usually addresses me as King."

"I'm not calling you king; I will name you Draka from now on."

"Thank you, Master."

"You are strong, and just like I assumed, you have the dragon bloodline."

"Master, you are saying I can become a dragon in the future."

"Yes, but there is a lot of work to do and a lot of luck involved, but there is hope. For now, go and get the remainder of your den under control and know that if they don't have 100% loyalty to you, we have to kill them."

"Yes, Master"

"Also, let me try something I have been thinking about for a while."

"Time - Reversal"

I carefully controlled the time element over Draka's body as some of the more severe wounds began to heal. Not really heal, but I was reversing the time of the injury itself to before Draka got hurt. It took a lot of my mana to maintain this skill, but I was glad to know that Time - Reversal can heal.

Coming out of the crater, Draka and I finally took a look at the aftermath of all the battles. Joe and Blaze were rounding up the ten snakes they deemed worthy of following us to one side of the clearing. Michelle was to the side, cuddling the flamingo hatchling protected by Crystal with Sakura on her shoulders. There was also a group of flamingos to the other side injured, with Sam standing guard and waiting for the verdict of what would happen to them.

"Michelle, are you ok, and how is the baby bird?"

"I'm good, and so is this bird, and I think I accidentally made it my battle beast when I asked it if it wanted to follow me, and it agreed."

"It has a great bloodline, so that's ok; you will have to take good care of it and train it to be strong."

"Joe, how are the snakes you chose?"

"They are good, not too many special elements to choose from, but I chose the ten strongest alive. We got five king cobra's, one rattlesnake, two pythons, two corn snakes. The elements of the five cobras are two earth, one shadow, one poison, and one dark. For the other snakes, respectively, their elements are poison, plant, earth, fire, and light."

"Those are still pretty good elements for the team. Now, the only thing is to make sure that Draka has 100% control over them before entering the space pendent. But if anything, we can kill them if they don't fall in line."

"Draka, come over here and let me see if I can take them with you into my independent space."

With a wave of my hand, Draka and all the snakes were sent into the space pendant. Next came the flamingos, not sure what I should do with them. I killed the leader, and I'm not sure the baby can gain their complete loyalty right now.

"Michelle, see if you can get Snow to make the other flamingos follow her command."

"Snow can you make the other birds of your flock follow you?"

As Snow was trying to convince the rest of her flock to follow her, I had Sakura look around to see if any plants were worth taking with us.

"According to Snow, they will come with her if it means they can live."

"I'll see how loyal they are."

Sending Snow into the space pendant along with the flock, only two of the other flamingos followed her in. I think those were the parent birds. Looking at the rest, I assumed that they didn't have 100% loyalty to the baby bird, so I had Sam get rid of them. When Sam finished off the rest of the flamingos, he and his team were sent away.

Sakura came back and told me that there weren't any plants worth taking in the area. I then summoned Draka out to lead us towards his den. About half a mile away, the was a big hole leading into the side of a hill. I asked Draka if there was anything of value in his den. At the same time, I had Sakura check the surroundings for more note-worthy plants.

"Master, there isn't much but some eggs in our den."

"Bring the eggs; they might turn out to be special elements. If not, they can be new additions to your den."

After we were through with Draka's den, we continued our journey through the jungle. Although we couldn't get much light through the trees, we could still tell that it was getting late, and I would like to be out of the jungle before nightfall.

Along the way, we didn't run into more trouble and were out of the forest when the sun started to set. Everyone released a sigh of relief to be out of the jungle seeing the city and its zombies again.

"Let's camp out at that grocery store a couple of blocks down, and in the meantime, we can clean it for all the supplies we need."

"Cool, bro, I'm good with that."

"I'll follow your lead, Dwayne."

I let out Sam's barrel of monkeys, Draka's den of snakes, and Snow's parents so that they can do the zombie hunting and leveling at the same time. I did also have Michelle and Snow join in on the action because they needed it. Snow needed to level up asap to be of any use to Michelle. In comparison, Michelle is only one level away from ranking up.

It looks like a herd of animals going to war against a horde of zombies. The monkeys acted more like mages, while the snakes were more close combat because their tool of attack was their fangs or tail. In contrast, the flamingos were aerial support dropping fireballs.

"I think it will be a good idea to get more birds for aerial combat when Snow matures further."

"Bro, I think you are right because they are practically untouchable in the air in the city. While in the jungle, they had limited room to move around."

This combat drill lasted for the next hour as we got closer and closer to the grocery store. By the time we got to the grocery store, all the minions were on levels 8-10.
