Baffled about what was going on before my eyes, I gazed upon the screen in awe.
[ Welcome to the Mana System. Could the Host please choose an element of his choice? ]
[ Fire ] [ Ice ] [ Light ] [ Blood ]
[ Water ] [ Lighting ] [ Dark ] [ Time ]
[ Earth ] [ Gravity ] [ Plant ] [ Space ]
[ Wind ] [ Shadow ] [ Sound ] [ Poison ]
Before I chose, I decided to ask the system the difference between all the elements to ensure my choice.
[Host, there are pros and cons to all elements, and organisms on this planet have one elemental affinity. All elements are essentially equal, and it is up to the individual to see how far they can develop them. Some elements are more potent than others initially, but it's all the same down the line.]
"So, what is the element that I have the affinity for?" says Dwayne
[The Host has an affinity with the space element.]
"OK, so if we all have one element that we are compatible with, then why am I able to choose whichever one I like?"
[This is the bonus for being the first on your planet to have the courage to move forward. With this, it doesn't matter which elemental affinity you have. Whatever choice you make, the system will provide you with what is necessary to make it so.]
"That sounds nice. Will I be able to get more than one element?"
[No under normal circumstances, but there is an opportunity for five lucky organisms on this planet to acquire a second element. Although chances of that happening are one in a trillion.]
"So just say if I get this chance, will I get a random element of something of my choice?"
[Host will get a random element if he has unlocked his element already. If the Host chooses another element, then he will receive the element of his affinity.]
"I choose the element of time."
[OK! Now you have to choose a unique item catered to your affinities.]
[Space Pendant - Has a small independent space inside that can store living and non-living things]
[Time Stone – Allows the user to manipulate time to a certain extent depending on the amount of Mana provided]
[Spatial Ring – Allows the storing of non-living things, within a 5x5 sq ft space]
[Time Ring – Allows the user to slow the time of your opponent by 1/2, duration depending on the amount of Mana provided by user]
"If I'm going to use the time element, why is space elemental items on the list?"
[This is because the Host still has the affinity to space; the time element is the prize you earned.]
"If that's the case, then I'll choose the Space Pendant."
Ping! A soft glowing pendant appeared before my eyes. My body moved on its own as if it knew how to activate it. I bit my right index finger to extract blood. I allowed for a few drops to come in contact with the pendant. The charm emits bright shiny sun-like light. A connection took form between the article and me with a flow of information I need to know about operating it.
"System, why does it say that this is an incomplete item and that there are three more parts to it? Why would you give me something that's not complete? If I had known that you were so cheap, I would have chosen the ring instead. Unless I was going to get half a ring too." There was a long pause before the system responded to me. I didn't expect it to have the ability to have an attitude.
[This is one piece of a mythical item, something far more significant than you can comprehend. The rings could not compare to this, and if you are ever able to complete it, then you will understand just how advantageous it was for you to have attained it so quickly.]
"All you had to say is that it was good no need to get testy."
[.....]
"How do I see my stats? I assume that I have those as well, right?"

[ The average human male has an average of 10 in all stats except for Luck and Charm. Those are considered unique stats and will not upgrade unless for particular items or skills.]
"So you're saying I'm barely above average, and here I thought I was doing pretty good for myself."
Woof woof woof
