The people looked spic and span, the interviewees dressed officially in well pressed power suits. Looking down at her skinny black jeans, which according to her were not only fashionable but appropriate too, she felt her mind go blank. Yeah, she had paired her jeans with a black top, and added a splash of color by having a pink blazer. That now, made her outfit look official.
The interview started immediately the clock struck 9:00 am. The first interview did not take long and the interviewee, came out looking like she was about to cry. Okay that did not look promising. She was a beautiful girl, well dressed, the only thing was that she looked too polite. The rest of the interviews did not hold any suspense. Some people came out smiling while others came out frowning. All in all, she could feel her nerves increasing as the line decreased. The Black Company was one of the best companies that searched for talent among writers of every kind. Mostly novel writers and script writers.
Most of the work they produced was already translated into movies while making a lot of money through the time. The only issue was that they were yet to start an official movie or drama video production, having only done a few works. This was the heaven of every writer. Success lay at their fingertips with this.
Hearing her name called, she stood, took a deep breath and opened the door. The moment she opened the door, she felt as though her world was twisting. Her heart thumping, she could feel extreme stirrings from within her to change into her wolf form. When she looked up, she was met with a shock of golden eyes. She felt it, shock from within her heart and a flash of irrational attraction. There sat the CEO of the Black company, in the company of other people vetting the interviewees, spotting an annoyed face until now. There was a flash of shock through his face.
Ryan sat at the conference room looking at everything and wondering why he was even being involved in all this. Most of the people that had come for this interview were not there for writing, no, they were there because they had a chance. Since this writing company was started, he had learnt how to know potential writers and people who could be upped in their manner of writing. Fictional writing could not just be normal. Normal was boring, there had to be something out of the ordinary, not monotones.
He believed that the way someone even dressed or behaved reflected their creative minds the best. Going through all those interviews had to have been the most boring thing he had ever done until now. He could feel it in his guts, there was another like him. How could she exist outside of the jurisdiction, in the city? When he lifted his head as she entered, his wolf nearly leapt off him and had him change uncontrollably. He was too excited for no apparent reason.
Exercising steel controlling, he managed to push the urge to shift back, but it remained just under the surface. She was one of them, he could see it and she apparently realized he was also like her. she was pretty, ethereal almost like an angel. Her soft blond luscious hair framed her heart shaped face delicately. Giving her shape and volume. She was a petite woman, well-proportioned and so far, he really liked what he saw on the front. Now the question to ask was she really here for an interview or did she already know about him.
She sat down on one of those seats and as he watched her, his eyes seeing the rapid movement of her pulse against her neck, as she swallowed deeply. He had seen when her eyes had turned slightly jungle green before they came back to normal that was grey. She had to have had the most beautiful eyes in the whole wolf world he had ever seen. Watching her as the panel of interviewers asked her questions had him mesmerized. He knew it there and then; she was the one he had been waiting for. His half.
His dad had always told him that he would know when he met his mate. It would have things surrounding him that it would be unmistakable. His uncontrollable urge to change, unnecessary excitement, and the way his heart was palpitating. The way he got attracted to her, almost like a bee gravitating towards a flower. Yes, he knew it. And by the way she was squirming in her chair, she had also probably sensed it.
