I've always loved Damon, ever since I was young Damon was someone easy to love. He just had that aura that made you feel drawn to him. But he's only seen me as a younger sister. Which is worse then being in the friend zone. For now I have bigger problems though, and that is he has a girlfriend.
Amber Marshall is her name, and she's a total witch. I have no idea why Damon would want to date someone like her but he is.
"Good morning Devon. Where'd you get that top? Your grandma?" Amber laughed snootily. "Actually Devon got that top from goodwill she thrifts clothes" Dixie snapped. My face burned red as I looked around to see everyone starring at us. I just wanted to vanish into thin air. Amber look at me intently and began to laugh hysterically.
"Devon stop hiding behind this dumb Barbie doll and stand up for yourself. Or are you just a chicken?" Amber utter as she moved her face closer to mine. "Look Amber just leave me alone. The only reason you're picking on me is because you have to pay lots of money for clothes to make yourself look good. When I could wear sweatpants and a hoodie and still look hot. It's okay Amber not everyone is dripping with good looks like me" I said sarcastically.
I have no idea why she is being such a jerk but I'm not dealing with her anymore. "Amber? Why are you being rude to Devon?" Damon said. He walked in front of me and Amber. I think this is the first time he's seen Amber actually be mean to me. Every other time she's mean to me he never notices and pushes it off. "It's not what it looks like Damon she was attacking me first" Amber pleaded. However we all knew this wasn't true.
"Amber don't dig yourself a bigger grave, you know Devon is really important to me" Damon commented to Amber's despite pleading. A huge smile formed on my face I couldn't believe the words coming out of his mouth.
"She's like a little sister to me Amber. And it's family before relationships" Damon finished. My smile faded, and I just stood there motionless. I can't believe I actually thought Damon cared for me. Nope he still thinks of me as a little sister.
