Dazed the visitor was sitting in the middle of an alleyway. Their memories of the past five minutes were blurred. They remembered wandering the city before accidentally walking on the road. After that, they found themselves in the middle of an alleyway vomiting violently. Their body felt light and weak. They quickly backed up a little bit and rested themselves on a nearby wall. Their breathing was rough and heavy. They rested their head at the back of the world and closed their eyes. Slowly their breathing started to become peaceful and rhythmic.
All sorts of sounds travelled to their ears, some were hard to distinguish while some were clear. They could hear the sounds of people talking, laughing, some even shouting. They could also hear the loud sounds of machinery for construction work, flying cars zipping around, and the distant sounds of sirens.
Their eyes were closed. Not from exhaustion, not then anyway. They were reminiscing about their home.
The sound of a gentle breeze rattled the leaves. The lush green field as herds of cows and sheep grazing. The slivers shine from the fishes as they jumped out of the water. They remembered their house. They still could hear the ticking of their clock, the crackling of the fireplace, and the smell of the fresh coffee.
At that moment like broken glass everything shattered as they opened their eyes. Those black eyes held no emotions, only fatigue.
They looked at the sky. Skyscrapers filled their visions as they saw cars and other vehicles flying past each other. The sky was dark and contrary to their memories void of any stars.
They lowered their gaze as they in turn shuffled through his inner pocket. They bought out a small folded paper. It looked old and had a scorched mark on it. They gently unfolded the paper. It was a picture. Burned around the sides.
It depicted a family of four. A middle-aged man in a white shirt and a coat over him smiled as his hand was wrapped around a middle-aged woman who wore a simple blue dress and had a gentle smile on her face. On their lap sat two kids. A boy and girl, both were giggling. All of them were sitting on a mat behind them one could make out a large field and a house.
The visitor caressed the picture gently as a single drop of water fell on it. They wiped it off then gently folded it again like before. They put the folded piece of paper in their inner pocket.
They pushed themselves off the ground. Their ears were bleeding a bit earlier but stopped not too long ago. The headache was still present but they tried to ignore it as they made their way out of the alley and disappeared among the crowd.
...
Vanity was sitting on the chair as Impiety walked around the room. 'Utopia Resort' among all the luxurious resorts and hotels was the most expensive resort. It had a total of two hundred and thirty-nine floors. Quite small among all the skyscrapers around them but due to their position in the one could almost see the entire city in front along with the desert beyond.
Vanity laid back in the chair as he rested beside him. He cast his gaze on the city below focusing on nothing in particular.
Impiety walked around the room watching everything and occasionally looking at the food on the table. Although she didn't know what those were information flooded her mind as soon as she set her eyes on them.
On a big tray, there were three dishes. Two of them were on a plate and one in a bowl.
On the white plate, two pieces of meat were laid on top of each other. Their crust was Golden Brown with honey glazed gravy poured on top of it sided with a few green Asparagus. On the black plate, it was a big lobster that was cut down in the middle. Decorated with rice, green onions and a few parsley. It had a smokey musky seafood smell to it. In the bowl was what she understood was Ice-cream. It was white and topped with what looked like pieces of a rainbow.
Impiety looked at all of them and gulped. Every time her eyes fell on them she wanted to take a bite. But she refused to do it out of pride. Vanity knew about things for a while but kept ignoring them just to tease her.
*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*
Both Vanity and Impiety looked at the door.
"I wasn't scared."
Impiety said hurriedly as if explaining something. Vanity didn't comment on it as his hand was almost tearing into the leather of the seat.
Without any of their approval, two figures entered the room. Vanity relaxed his grip while Impiety gave a fake laugh.
"Gotta say Vanity, I never thought you would grow a spine. A big step for a spineless maggot like you."
A voice drifted in his ear filled with disgust. She was covered in a thin black veil. A black crown was placed on her head, from underneath black hair was flowing smoothly and rested on both sides of her shoulder. Her dress was thin but layered. Her eyes were closed as she held something in her hand gently.
Vanity smiled without answering.
"Enough Madness. The more time we waste the more we run the risk of him escaping."
A man said in a monotone voice. He wore a white tuxedo with black gloves on his hand. His hair was white and long.
Madness scoffed and said,
"Why are we associating ourselves with these cowards?"
"Hey!"
Impiety sounded offended. Just as she was about to speak out loud Vanity intervened and said,
"No need to use mean words. Lord Madness, Lord Death welcome. This is Impiety."
He got up as he spoke. He extended his hand to shake. Madness looked at it as if it was the dirtiest thing she ever had the displeasure of seeing.
Death however extended his head shook Vanity's hand and nodded at Impiety.
"Lord Time told me about you Impiety. Your strength is commendable. He expects more from you."
Impiety was shocked but recovered soon and nodded vigorously.
Madness snorted. Vanity could feel sparks flying around as Impiety and Madness made eye contact.
Death ignored the whole charade and spoke,
"Let's not waste time and have this meeting underway."
...
Ssyba suddenly looked at the sky as the murmur from his shadows returned,
[Death and Madness disappeared]
Ssyba smirked a little before shifting his focus. He could feel the chains around him as they continuously restricted him. He sensed the gaze of someone on him. Observing. He felt that for some time now after coming out of the Nightmare Realm.
"They truly put so much work to ambush me."
Ssyba smiled faintly.
The things he is looking for. The missing fragments of his memory.
The memory he possesses is incomplete and somewhat incomprehensible.
The transparent crystals hold his memories but he can't crack them to get them.
He felt the same aura from this Universe. But as soon as he entered the aura vanished.
He sighed with annoyance. It is his anyway. Why do people try to prevent him from getting them?
He then looked across him with more annoyance.
The Merchant with a mask that he tried to kill. As well as a small girl beside him.
She wore a dress that was blue around the edges and sleeves and white all around with a utility belt on her waist.
She wore a cute mushroom hat while holding a walking stick too big for her. Her ebony hair was tucked carefully behind her ears. She had a big backpack.
Probably several times the size of her. A cat also stood beside her.
She was nodding her head as the Merchant was saying something to her. Then her expression froze when her eyes met Ssybas.
Ssyba looked as the girl waved her hand at him.
He snorted out of annoyance and teleported out of there. He is not in the mood for some Loli bullshit.
