Yoi and the other core disciples got up and bought their weapons. Hei and Yue were about to bring out their weapons but were immediately stopped by Hasie.
His hand that was controlling the spear was shaking as sweat formed on his forehead. His eyes focused on the intruders.
Sect Master Yazi signalled the core disciples to stand down. He was composed but his instincts were screaming at him to run.
As he got up he felt his legs buckle a little. Sect Master Yazi was someone who was on the verge of breaking through the Star Core Realm.
He was so close that he could be considered a half step Foundation Realm Expert.
His understanding of laws and mystery was great.
He could feel his cultivation base shaking when he looked at them. He knew it was more violent for Senior Seven Sword and Hasie who were at Peak and late Foundation Realm respectively.
It was true as both of them felt their cultivation base shaking but none felt it greater than Lin.
He was someone who once stood at the peak of the Mortal Realm.
His knowledge and understanding almost suppressed everyone on this continent.
As such what he felt was more akin to a raging violent storm to the point his soul started to shake quite a bit. It was already injured from the encounter with Ssyba.
But Lin didn't let it show on his face. He glanced at the girl who was squatting on the ground hiding her face. Lin knew her. Very well in fact.
"It is an honour to be in presence of the Third Elder of the Midnight Merchant."
Lin said with a slight bow. To others, his voice held no particular emotions.
But both beings that lived for thousands of years understood the absolute loathing and disgust hidden behind in his everyone all except three no one recognised the name.
If expert Seven Sword looked uneasy before he looked absolutely scared now.
Sect Master Yazi has already had his legs buckled so the information didn't help.
Hasie looked at both beings with a wide eye before both he and Senior Seven Sword retracted their weapons.
Most looked confused at their reaction. But three were more shocked at Lin for not withdrawing his weapon.
Lin had control over his killing intent. But The Masked Merchant did not. They looked at Lin specifically his sword. They felt irritated as it had a similar aura to the intruder that broke their mask.
The black aura slowly covered the sword as faint red lines appeared on it. They looked like blood vessels when they started to glow slightly. Lin felt something akin to a string entering his body.
A wisp of energy was dissipating as soon as they entered.
Lin felt the raging violent storm suddenly become as calm as a deep lake.
After his encounter with Ssyba, he didn't dare to activate his Left Eye of Truth against a being that was made out of mystery.
The Masked Merchant lowered their hand as the little girl got up looked at Lin and said,
"Can we...talk in private?"
Lin scoffed at this the girl jumped back a little acting scared. But he didn't refuse it. He walked past the Masked Merchant. The girl walked behind Lin who stopped not too far from the gate. The girl looked at Lin and said,
"We...we should move somewhere else."
"Just use your veil."
Lin replied almost instantly. The girl looked at Lin with narrow eyes before lifting her stick and tapping the floor twice. A black sphere covered both of them.
All of them watched a black bubble form near the door and float a few centimetres above the ground.
Yoi and the other two put their weapons away along with Hasie and Senior Seven Sword. Almost all of them had questions regarding Lin and the Midnight Merchant.
Hasie and his companion were whispering something to each other while Senior Seven Sword sat down to meditate. Yoi kept standing with Sect Master Yazi as did the other two core disciples.
The Masked Merchant felt another unfamiliar aura in the Green Leaf Sect. They sent out their senses to investigate. But before it could reach its destination it was obliterated by something else.
Yoi kept an eye on the Masked Merchant when he suddenly saw them shuddered a little before something liquid came out from the broken mask. They quickly wiped it off and pretended nothing happened but Yoi could see them clenching their fist and shivering.
In the Thousands Cage Mountain,
White suddenly opened his eyes as he felt something was scanning over Snow. He looked in the direction of the Sect Masters Residence. He looked back at Snow seeing her knitting something out of flowers and grass. For a tenth of a second, his entire body glowed in a faint blue light before returning to normal.
Forcefully suppressing senses will affect both parties. White lost a singular feather as it dropped down from his tail but before it reached the ground the feather disappeared. He could see a few people coughing blood in the distance around Thousand Cage Mountain.
He shifted from where he was and moved beside Snow. She looked at him and gently caressed his head. White snuggled closer before tucking under his tail and closing his eyes. Snow resumed what she was doing, this time with a low hum and a beautiful smile.
...
Ssyba basked in the sunlight as he started at the blue ocean. He felt Lin's aura dim slightly.
But he returned to his normal posture.
Since he is trapped, he doesn't see any reason not to enjoy it. He has absolute confidence in breaking whatever the opposition has prepared for him.
He took a glass of cold orange juice and drank it.
"I'm not in a hurry. Sooner or later you will come to me."
Ssyba spoke nonchalantly as he drank the liquid.
His fragment of memory is here. It's not going anywhere. As long as he can get it all is well.
As for who is preventing him from getting it. Ssyba laughed out loud. He can't wait to get his hand on them.
