Seeing Lin dazed Yoi chuckled a little and said,
"If you're shocked by this you should have seen it when it was alive. It is by dumb luck that I survived that battle against it."
Lin was shocked not because of seeing the fiend. He was shocked when he saw the fiend. His eyes darted around before asking,
"How long was I out?"
You turned towards Lin and said,
"Well, you were pretty messed up. But somehow you healed and stayed like that for nearly one month."
One month Lin thought. Lin started to remember the events that lead to the cataclysm.
First, the Nightmare Realm would open. Major sects and powerhouse would make their way here and constantly would try to monopolize the Nightmare Realm.
But there wasn't any trace of that place in the vicinity. Lin was confused. The Nightmare Realm they entered should have stayed open.
As if gears finally turning Lin's brain was quickly figuring out the events that had happened and changed in this time.
The Fiend could only be found in the Demon Realm and the only way for it to make its way to the Mortal Realm was if the demonic Cultivators were successful in making a stronghold in Desolate Plane.
'It was Duke Ai who led the first attack on the Sky Kingdom, followed by Myriad star and the rest of the kingdoms.'
Lin thought to himself.
'Which should be happening ten years from now.'
Lin finally came to a frightening conclusion. Something was influencing the Cataclysm as its emergence was speeding up.
'No, it's not speeding up. It is changing.'
Lin felt an intense sense of urgency and a sense of crisis.
Yoi and Lin made their way to the Sects Masters Residence.
Lin forgot to ask about Fang as preventing the cataclysm and saving his close ones were much more pressing concerns to him.
...
In the Sect Master Hall, seven people gather around and sat in a circle.
Sect Master Yazi and Expert Seven Sword were sided by side.
Among the five two were the Core Disciple of Green Leaf Sect, Venes and Lio. Both at Star Core Realm.
But among the rest three two wore a different uniform than the one in the centre. The three of them had the same crimson Jade on them.
The two women on both sides looked identical and had a cold aura around them. Their strength was on par with Senior Seven Sword. They were sitting still and indifferent.
The man in the centre looked younger than any of them in the room. His messy white hair with pale skin was a bit unrefined. He looked bored and was yawing often.
As their talk was not going anywhere they sat there silently waiting. But that didn't last long as Yoi and Lin made their way into the room.
Lin looked around the room. As his eyes fell on the man in the centre Lins' eyes flashed with a hint of recognition before returning to normal.
"How are you feeling now? Is there any discomfort?"
Sect Master Yazi asked with a gentle smile. Lin bowed towards Sect Master Yazi and Seven Sword before replying,
"I am fine Sect Master." Lin cupped his hand and bowed to Sect Master.
His eyes filled with hidden sadness. He was a good Sect Master who died trying to save Yoi.
Both Yazi and Seven Sword nodded their head at Lin.
"Um...This Lin is one of the most talented Inner Court Disciple in the sect and this is the pride of Green Leaf Sect Yoi."
Both Yoi and Lin cupped their hands and bowed slightly toward the man. He looked disinterested but still gave a faint nod in acknowledgement.
"I have heard you have an interesting sword."
The woman sitting on the left said suddenly. Her eyes were on Lin's tattoo.
"A sword that bears a striking similarity to the Sword of Apocalypse."
The woman sitting on the right added.
Lin with a wave of his summoned the Abyssal Edge. It floated before Lin gently as a black aura swirled around it.
The man had a small spark of interest ignited in him.
This is the second time both Sect Master Yazi and Senior Seven Sword were seeing this.
Venes and Lio were present during the trial but this was the first time they took a closer look at it.
It pulsated fiercely as if threatening everyone around it but as soon as Lin touched it settled down.
Lin leapt behind as two Sword struck where he was standing before. He activated his Left eye of Truth.
Both of the women moved at him at high speed with their swords aimed at his heart and his throat. Lin gripped Abyssal Edge hard as the tattoo on his arm become much clearer. A face with two horns coming out from behind it. A thin red line appeared on the Abyssal Edge.
*clang* *clang*
Lin deflected both attacks and threw their balance off. He channelled his Qi and used a move he learned in the future.
The footwork was exquisite. All of them looked astonished at such refined footwork.
Lin swiftly used their opening and used the back of the sword to hit both of them in the stomach.
He then left the sword that vanished in his tattoo and gathered Qi in his palm and touched both of their stomachs.
*boom*
A loud boom rang out as a shockwave spread throughout the room.
Apart from the two women, none felt its effect.
Both of the women felt their entire body was slammed by something heavy.
One of them fell on her knees and the other one stood standing.
Lin felt his entire body wobble for a second.
He quickly backed off.
As he suspected his body wasn't strong enough. He refrained from attacking. Just as the standing one tried to move in for an attack.
"It's not necessary Hei. Help Yue up."
The man stood up and walked to Lin. He looked Lin directly in his eyes.
Lin knew the man. One of the strongest Cultivators that fought for the Mortal Realm. Lin remembers fighting beside him in the Cataclysm.
Lin was indebted to the man for teaching him Sword Cultivation. The man soon in a few years would be known as the Sword Saint Hasie.
But Lin called him brother and a friend.
Lin became a little emotional remembering how Hasie ended up sacrificing himself to save the Phoenix Continent.
But his face showed none of his inner feelings.
Sect Master Yazi was being held by senior Seven Sword as he knew there was no killing intent behind the attack.
Yoi was holding his sword in a low posture. He was on guard as both Venes and Lio were standing up ready to jump into action if needed.
Hasie looked at Lin and said,
"Your movements are refined and very precise. You are also very adept at combat."
At that moment the entire room started to vibrate. The air became stiff and Qi in the air felt dense.
Yoi felt his breathing becoming increasingly difficult. The other two core disciple was no different if not worse than ware the Yoi.
Hei was holding onto Yue as the latter was trembling slightly.
"Those movements are not of someone at your stage."
Sect Master Yazi was sweating he turned his gaze towards Senior Seven Sword who was looking best out of all of them.
Senior Seven Sword shook his head. Small beads of sweat were visible on his forehead too.
Lin knew what Hasie was doing. In their first meeting, Lin almost fainted from this similar pressure.
But the difference between Hasie twelve years from now and the current one was like a difference between Heaven and Earth.
Lin was smiling faintly as it reminded him how on the battlefield Hasie used this pressure to intimidate the opposite army.
Seeing Lin smiling despite the pressure Hasies laughed out loud as the pressure disappeared.
He patted Lin on the Shoulder and said,
"But I am intrigued. Not many can defend and counter Hei and Yue's joint attack."
He then pointed at himself before saying,
"Names Hasie, Hasie Moonfall."
Yoi put his sword away as both the Core Disciple sat down. With a sigh of relief. Hei and Yue got up but the latter had her legs shaking with small tears in her eyes. Sect Master Yazi wiped the sweat off while Senior Seven Sword said,
"Since the introduction is over then let's discuss the matter at hand."
Hasie returned to his seat as Yue sat right while Hei sat down left of him. Yoi sat with his fellow Core Disciple. Lin sat down beside Sect Master Yazi.
