Rain
I woke up in my bed, I blinked once, twice, three times. Then I sighed in relief, it was all a dream- but my joy didn't last long, as I started to move my head towards the window, I felt a sharp pain in my neck, I hissed and touched where it hurt, suddenly, everything came back crashing on me like an Eiffel tower, I gasped and got up quickly.
I went down the stairs and opened the door to look outside, to my shock there were the pack people, at least those who weren't taken away, roaming all over the area, assessing the damages and fixing their cabins, others were looking around and collecting their scattered belongings, I heard some kids crying in the distance- and my own tears started rolling down my cheeks, Zevrus and Cedric are gone, and the pack is left exposed to enemies- I shrieked and stumbled backwards when I felt a large hand on my shoulder "Woah, woah, Rain! It's me" I removed my hands from my face to meet Cyprus' dark eyes, my tears came down even faster and I practically jumped on him "oh my God, thank God you're here " he caught me and hugged me " ofcourse I am, when all that shit happened yesterday I was patrolling around the area, I was pretty far away when I heard Cedric and Zevrus' howls- I ran as fast as I could but when I got here they were already gone" I sighed and sniffled as I let him go and walked to the sofa "I was horrified, and they wanted to take me too so Cedric and Zevrus tried to fight back and they…" I sobbed and cried harder "I feel horrible, I've never seen Cedric in such pain, I wanted to help but how could I?" Cyprus looked at me with sympathy "Hey, hey, calm down, it's not your fault, and I know about them trying to take you, Darious told me-" I perched up "Darious? Where?.." I trailed off as I remembered Icy blue eyes and white fur before the blackness took over me. Cyprus sat beside me and pulled me into his arms "yeah, Darious killed the soldier, he waited till all the others were out of the area and took the chance of him being alone with only the car driver from his side" I blinked and nodded "the car driver ?" Cyprus smirked "was the breakfast this morning" I felt a bile rise up my chest and ran to the bathroom , when I came out Cyprus was standing outside the door with a worried expression "are you okay?" I shook my head "yeah, it's just, it's all too much to handle for me" he pursed his lips and nodded "I'm sorry I shouldn't have said the last part " I shook my head "it's okay, I should get used to it sooner or later". The front door opened and in stepped Darious with his signature smile "morning sweet cheeks'' I blushed as he hugged me and ruffled my hair , "sweetcheeks?" Cyprus looked at him with a disagreeable look, but Darious shrugged "yeah, got a problem with that?" Cyprus growled "you should remember this is Cedric's luna '' Darious smirked slyly "is that why I smell you on her?" Cyprus' eyes darkened and he took a step forward, but I quickly stepped between them "for Gods' sake! Now is not the best time for your testosterone competition! We are in a crisis, Cedric and Zevrus are missing and we need to come up with a plan to get them back" Cyprus broke the stare competition with Darious to look down at me "get them back? Rain, you need to understand that it is impossible to get them back" I was confused by his words and spun around to look at Darious, he looked down at me and shook his head "I agree with him, it is known, once one is caught by the R.A.Ws, there's no coming back" I shook my head and huffed "so that's it?, we are not going to do anything about the abduction of our alpha and beta?" They both exchanged glances and looked away from me in silence, I huffed a hollow laugh "pussies" then I stormed out of the house.
Cyprus
I glared at Darious "what the fuck was that all about?" Darious looked at me "the fuck do you mean?" I spat back "your dick-measuring competition" he shook his head and dropped himself on the couch "I was not measuring anything, besides, can we focus on the bigger problem here?" I glared at him, but since we do have a bigger problem I dropped the subject and sat across from him "Rain's not going to let this shit pass by without doing something" he nodded "I know, but what can we do? Seriously now- it's not like Cedric and Zevrus are the first two to be captured by the fuckers" I nodded, Darious' father- Laim, was taken by the R.A.Ws years ago when he was a pup, sadly his mother died not long after due to deep grief, he snapped his fingers in my face "hey! Earth calling to Cyprus" despite his sad story, the weasel still is a pain in the ass "snap your fingers in my face again and I will send you to the moon" he cocked his head "how romantic".
Later that day I went to the conference building to get some information and perhaps a report on all that had happened yesterday. Numbers had fed me up with all the details- apparently, The R.A.Ws were right on our tails long ago, but decided to attack at midnight when our guards were down. The problem is? We never let our guards down, unlike humans, we do patrols all night- if they were smart enough they would have known our guards are down only at day time, but even then the area would be stacked with werewolves- our's and other packs' .
After mulling things over with the others, we all concluded the same thing- there's a spy between us.
Rain
I sat on a tree log deep in the woods. I've been here for at least an hour and it was freezing, but since I was furious, I really didn't feel any cold. My mind was reeling with different ideas of how to get the guys back, then I realized how worried I was about them. It was strange how I was affected by the idea of one of them being hurt or worse, dead. I shook my head and closed my eyes, taking a deep breath I opened them again, only to meet icy blue ones inches away from me
I gasped and opened my mouth to scream, but Darious' hand clamped my mouth and he motioned to me to be quiet, I nodded and breathed out when he removed his hand, he motioned to me to follow him and I did, we walked in silence for a few minutes, then he grabbed my arm and ducked us both down behind thick bushes, I looked at him confused, he smiled at pointed towards a clearing, I looked in the direction and was taken aback by the beautiful scenery- a family of elk, the male buck was roaming around showing off his crown of horns, while the female and two young ones were herding and playing around peacefully, I sighed and smiled, "delicious" a broken record sound broke in my head and I looked at Darious "you mean beautiful?" He shook his head "NO, I meant delicious".
