Grey was observation his empty apartment with a slight nostalgic look, behind him there was his luggage in the form of multiple trunks and bags. The luxury life that he lived in the apartment was over, and he was now going to war and he would be living a less luxurious life of dirt, struggle and death.
Grey packed all of his luggage in a cart and started to go towards the carriage holding zone. Grey was not the only one who was leaving Witfield Academy, all tier 1 mages regardless of their age were leaving.
'Child soldiers are a thing in every fantasy world.'
Grey thought as he observed a 12 year girl who was also a tier 1 mage also pushing cart, though the girl looked like a 14 years old. At least the child soldier conscription was better in this world when compared to that anime about that yellow haired kid with blue eyes that Grey used to watch where children as little as 9 years old could go to war.
As Grey walked to the carriage holding zone, he saw all his previous classmates like Sophia, walking together with Flynn, Petra and other children.
The children who were in his previous class were all 14 years old, but they looked between 16-17 years old due to the food they ate and the exercises they did in the academy. Sophia as predicted was not a beautiful girl, she could be considered plain with her auburn hair tied in a single pony tail, however she was tall at 1.7 metres.
The same could be said about every child, they were all matured and were battle ready tier 1 mages that had gotten multiple years of training. Even the girl who was afraid of physical training, Sharon Mountain, had matured.
The girl was 1.7 metres in height with long legs and very pretty as predicted by other people when she was still she was young, her green eyes and blond hair had a good contrast.
Sharon was together with Ilse Louis, Ilse had lost her glasses after reaching tier 1, and that showed that she was a pretty young lass with her with her deep blue eyes and black hair.
The children had different thoughts when it came to war, some supported it whilst others did not and some were even afraid, like people like Cassandra. This person did not seem to have changed during the years, still cheeky and wilful. Most likely to die by Grey's estimation, unless something happens.
Grey reached the carriage holding area, he could see the Black Forest Horses that could reach some where over 100 km/h whilst pulling a carriage. Grey had learned that these type of creatures that could do things like that were called magically infused creatures.
These creatures could naturally take in the mana in their environment to strengthen themselves. A similar thing happened to mages where they would get slightly strengthened when passing magic tiers, but for these creatures their strengthening was more focused, when compared to mages which mostly allowed them to have longer lives.
"Camp Davidson! Carriage number 05!"
"Camp Atlas! Carriage number 07!"
"Camp Herolds! Carriage number 03!"
"Camp Challenger! Carriage number 011!"
There were people calling different military camps, it looked like the academy already knew that there would be many mages leaving the camp going to different camps. Grey looked for carriage number 03 going to Camp Herolds, as he was going in the direction of carriage number 03, Scarlet joined him.
"Grey which camp are you going too?"
"Camp Herolds, you?"
"Camp Herolds."
There were no words said afterwards, it looked liked some randomness allowed them to be in the same camp.
As they were approaching carriage number 03, they saw Miranda going to carriage number 07 going to camp Atlas. The trio had been separated and they would only meet each other in the battlefield.
Grey entered the carriage with Scarlet and found Leon Fischer already seating in, the young kid who loved magic had grown to have a large muscular build. Leon had a handsome face, his green eyes and brown had good contrast which him gave him lots of male charm.
Leon still loved magic very much after all these years, so much so that he did not get a chance to use give handsome face to capture some girls.
Grey and Scarlet set together, whilst simply nodding to Leon in acknowledgement. There was no conversation in the cart, Leon did not get along with Grey and Scarlet.
Their indifferent attitudes did not go along with his much more open personality, even if they all liked, magic it was not enough to get them to be friends.
More mages came inside the carriage, the ones who came in that Grey knew were Bon Meyer the most handsome person in Grey's previous class, Ilse Louis, Sharon Mountain and Gosiek Garen. Gosiek Garen was a tier 1 talented male from Grey's class.
The mage was not well known by Grey, however Grey still knew his name, blame it on his good memory. Gosiek had brown hair with hazel eyes and an above average face. This person was more handsome than Grey, but he had a more lanky body build with a height of 1.7 metres.
There were other mages in the carriage who were not in Grey's previous class and Grey did not know their identities.
"Hey Grey, Scarlet."
""Hey Bon.""
Scarlet and Grey answered at the same time, they did not dislike Bon, the guy was cool and was not noisy, something both Grey and Scarlet appreciated. Bon kept quiet after greeting Grey and Scarlet.
The ones talking were Ilse, Sharon, Leon and some other mages who knew each other. It did not take long for the carriage to start moving, Grey looked outside from the window as the carriage was moving.
As the carriage left the academy, Grey looked at the words at the gate, when he first came to Witfield academy he had looked at them and thought they were very impressive.
'Witfield Military Mage Training Academy. My Academy life is finished, and now it's time for development, whether it's on a stable or unstable environment. I will not let myself stagnate like I did in my previous life.'
Grey observed the illusionary [Duality Light Enhancer] Magic Ring around his heart, it represented to him a development in his craft unlike his previous life where he did not have any forward motion in his craft. The magic ring further strengthened his conviction and resolve.
