The battle continues to rage on. Not one, but on all of the borders who thought could defend them from the attacks. Noel continues to defend the northern border from the vicious ant queen while the others continue to fight the weary butterfly queen on the East and the others a mixture of monsters coming from the three queens has led the West and the South troops to defend the hive with their lives.
Lying on the wet land of the marshland, the corpse of the fallen queen of the termites had finally reached its peak in life. Kent and Gloyd moved towards the queen's dead body and expected to see what they found, "Where should we give this one? We don't have a choice but to choose someone already to put a huge impact in this battle." Gloyd said as he grabbed the white-colored syringe from the corpse's body. "I know who." Kent said. With her remaining strength, she flew swiftly, together with Gloyd to someone who might be useful to put this power into its greatest potential.
--------
Alex continues to catch his breath as the giant termites continue to rampage inside the border.
"I can't let them touch the hive, no matter what." He whispered to himself, knowing that his impenetrable defense came from the hive who he chose to protect. Alex trapped the enemies in the ground where he bludgeoned them one by one. The giant termites used their massive teeth to devour everything who came into pass, may it be a living thing or just the ground, they treat it all as equal.
The ground continues to tremble as holes continue to appear where the termites are. Alex used his ability to command the earth to reinforce the ground again so the hive won't lose its balance if the ground will completely collapse. However, doing the same thing over and over again will surely decrease Alex's stamina and the ability to fight.
Alex grew weary, fatigued on the never-ending battle, even with his defensive ability, his own stamina can't compete with it and will surely betray him in the middle of the battle.
Alex's knees tightened, shaking, reaching all of his remaining strength to at least give him another chance until the battle's won, for they cannot be defeated for the reason that that also means dying.
Another giant termite approached him where it opened its enormous mouth, ready to swallow the Alex in one gulp. Alex dodged by skipping sideways. It's a good thing Alex retained his agility and not the turtle monster's, who they defeated and successfully acquired its power.
Alex swung his weapon, ready to attack the giant termite who just missed his attack on its head when all of them let out a terrifying screech that even the monsters who came along with them retreated to a distance where the noise couldn't reach. The others screamed as they covered their ears, hearing the unimaginable sound.
Alex was on his knees, covering his ears. "What's happening?!" he said, not knowing is his voice could even reach the others who are nearby him.
The termites stopped screeching and rampaged around the area. They moved in unpredictable ways, where they aim for almost everything, even their own kind, all devouring everything. Loud crashes and trembles as bodies fell from the ground echoed inside the borders of the hive.
Alex ran towards some giant termites when some of them immediately went towards the hive. Alex tried his best to pursue the other but his legs were weary and his body was weighing him down, causing himself to become slower than the usual. The termite was about to devour the bottom part of the hive when Belle spit out a web directly to its mouth, refraining its further use of devouring.
Alex sighed in relief, "Thank you." He said after catching his breath. He squatted on the ground, trying to rest for seconds. "They suddenly went out of control." Belle said, looking at the giant termites inside the East border. "I also don't know why." Alex replied, worried.
If the termites went out of control, they might have all pursed towards the hive. I guess their original plan was to devour all the lands inside the border and retain the only structure inside – the hive. Alex thought, biting his lip.
"I'll go to where the others are. Jay and Matt are still defending the Eastern border from the butterfly queen, surprisingly, they're still coping with it. You stay here and protect this part." Belle said to Alex, she immediately leaped away from Alex and went to respond to others.
"We need to stop this rampage." Alex whispered to himself.
-----
"Belle!" Jessie shouted as he continues to fire arrows towards the giant butterflies. "Thank god, you're here! The termites have rampaged and we can't defend them all at once. We're short in people. These butterflies release dusts that can put you into sleep. The other have been hit by it and now we're about to lose this part. "What about Ivan's group in the West? Are they okay?" Belle said, while leaped towards the enemies and tore them to death. "I don't know." They have the same enemies as we did here! What are the others doing?! Jessie cried, while she covers everyone who were put into sleep. Both attacking and defending. Belle helped desperately.
"Matt, Christian, and Jay are all fighting the butterfly queen! It's strong and they occupied. Kent's fighting the termite queen, too and Gloyd went to help her!" Shouted Belle, so she could reach the distant Jessie while she continues to tear the enemies down. Belle used her webs by spitting it towards the butterflies' wings to refrain itself from flying where she immediately leaped towards the stunned target and finally kills them down.
"The termites below, they acted weird after they let out a screech. What if they now go towards the hive?!" Jessie shouted.
Belle leaped downwards and killed a few of the termites on the ground, devouring everything they come across with. "What's happening? We can't defend all of them." Belle whispered to herself as she continues to dodge the termites' massive mouths.
"Jessie! Let's give this border up. Run towards Ivan who is in the West and help him there. I'll secure the others who fell into sleep. Go!" She shouted towards, Jessie and the others, immediately ran on the pathway above the earth wall, towards Ivan.
Belle leaped above and grabbed the others with her webs, carrying them all. "This will be a bumpy ride." She then leaped and walked in a fleeting speed with her eight legs that can climb any wall in sight.
The earth wall in the South did not collapse for the enemies had been given the ability to fly, with their wings. Suddenly, instead of going towards the hive, the butterfly monsters pursued where the others ran.
Belle saw the flying monsters flew towards them; their colored wings were so elegant that you it can mislead you to think that they're creatures of goodness. Beauty really is deceiving, Belle thought.
However, with the unexpected pursuance of the butterfly monsters, it gives them the ability to lure the enemies on one border. And kill them all at once. "Jessie! Shouted Belle. The others who ran together with Jessie also stopped. "Carry them. I'll protect the inside grounds of the Southern wall. You seek help from Ivan and deal with these flying monsters, together!" Belle shouted while she put the others, covered in web on the pathway above the earth wall. The others immediately went towards the sleeping classmates where they carried them with haste and ran towards the West.
Belle leaped downwards but managed to kill some butterfly monsters on her way. She immediately sliced the giant termites on the ground who ought to destroy the hive – their home.
-----
Ivan's troops were now depleting as the butterfly monsters all put them to sleep. "Where's the help when you need one!" Ivan exclaimed. "Fire all of the arrows with might! We kill them or we all die! That's two options! And I won't allow the latter! Don't you dare die on me!" Ivan shouted to his classmates under his command. Trying to boost their fading morale and willingness to live.
"Ivan!" Jessie shouted in a distance, along with the others who carried something with them, covered in white. Ivan looked at them with glee, as new troops continue to appear, to help them in their direful situation. "What happened to the Southern border?" Ivan asked, while he continues to fire some arrows, using the crossbow Kent has given them. "Belle responded and helped. She said we should give the Southern border up and lure the enemies here. Well not all enemies, just the butterfly monsters." Jessie exclaimed, while he immediately grabbed his crossbow and fired the arrows behind them, coming from the side where they ran from. "So, she faced all the termites at once?" Ivan said in disbelief.
Jessie nodded, "She's very strong. I never thought the weaver has been a great asset in this battle."
Ivan smiled, thinking that Belle has become strong in an instant.
"Jessie, come with me. The termites on the ground are on a rampage. We can't let them touch the hive. Let the others take the flying enemies." Ivan said as he grabbed two of his prepared spikes and went down using the earth ladder Alex made for them.
Jessie nodded and immediately followed Ivan on the ground. Two spikes in hand, they both became assassins under the moonlight, ready to slice the giant termites apart as they set their home grounds as desserts.
-------
Kent and Gloyd flew swiftly to the Eastern borders, where the butterfly queen set her foot. Different noises resounded on the distance as exchange of blows have been executed by some of the finest warriors who emerged in the class. "Christian! You gay! Where are you?!" Gloyd shouted longing to find one of his close friends. Christian immediately replied with an angry 'what' as he continues to fire poison arrows on some of the butterfly monsters above them.
The beautiful queen of the butterflies saw the commotion in front of her, "Another enemy? I'm sooooo tiiiiiired." She said, yawning.
Gloyd, without hesitation nor Christian's consent injected the syringe they got from the termite queen to him. Christian let out an agonizing scream as the fluid flows to his veins, changing him. Not long when Christian recovered after he fell on top of the earth wall. "What did you inject me with?!" Chrsitian angrily said. "If this is one ugly creature. I will kill you myself, Gloyd!" Getting mad.
"Don't think too much and just be of use. We couldn't think of anyone but you. Right, mayor?" Gloyd looked at Kent.
Kent nodded, "Yes, you're more suitable than any other person in here. Please forgive us for doing this without your consent, but we are already in a very difficult situation." Kent pleaded.
Christian hissed and tried to transform. Little by little, his face changed, his brownish skin color now turned into pale white and his back emerged white wings, almost the same as the past queen of the termites had. Christian raised his right arm and the great axe materialized in an instant.
The weary eyes of the butterfly queen have bulged a little, as she witnessed the power of her comrade possessed by a human in front of her.
Instinctively, Christian flew in a swift towards the weary butterfly queen like lighting, attacking her with his giant axe, almost the size as himself. However, the queen successfully defended it with her staff, strong enough to absorb the great axe's impact.
"I've always wondered how it feels like to fly." Christian said.
