"Thank you, Sir"
Jungkook turned to you in the car, confused at your sudden gratitude. "For?" he smiled, his top lip completely disappearing as his nose crinkled in the process.
"For bringing me here. For letting me meet Taehyung and Jimin. Taehyung is…truly wonderful" you let out a happy sigh – thinking to yourself that it was people like Taehyung who always managed to restore your faith in humanity. Jungkook chuckled at your honesty as he angled himself towards you, watching your beautiful smile make itself at home right on the apples of your cheeks.
"I'm glad you see him like that. Unfortunately, not everyone does" he gave you a half-defeated look. "Taehyung's mother and father…they don't approve of his lifestyle choices – in other words, they –"
"You mean, they're homophobic towards their own son?" you took the words right out of his mouth. "That's despicable. Honestly…love is love. It shouldn't matter your gender, race, background or culture you come from…if you love someone and you're not harming others – then why is it a problem? I've never understood it" you became rather annoyed, knowing that Taehyung had to live with the burden of an unsupportive family. "Even though he's been through so much hardship…he hasn't let the world's cruelty turn him bitter" you admired Taehyung's ability to live and let live, but you found yourself feeling endlessly sorry for him and what he must have had to deal with.
"You truly believe that love has no limits?" Jungkook let the question fall from his lips earnestly – watching you nod and smile at him in turn. "Don't you, Sir? Some may call me naive, but I believe that love is the most powerful thing. It's amazing what it can do~" you chirped, completely unaware of how your words affected him so. "Does she really believe that? (Y/N)…if you knew the truth…could you accept me – not as a man, but as a Vampire?" he lamented to himself.
"You know, everything happened so quickly that I never even got to ask Taehyung what type of dress he was going to make me…" you didn't doubt Taehyung's skill in the slightest, but you still felt nervous about what he might create.
Jungkook straightened himself up in the seat, pulling his seat-belt over his torso as he continued smiling to himself. "You've no need to worry about that, (Y/N). Taehyung is a master at what he does. I suspect he already had a dress planned out the moment he laid eyes on you." Jungkook knew of Taehyung's talent for creating magnificent gowns for female Vampires for centuries. He knew that Taehyung's mind was a force to be reckoned with – and he had no doubt that you would look delightfully ravishing in his cousin's creation. Just as you were about to answer Jungkook, your empty stomach began producing noises – similar to that of a demon trying to drag its way out of hell. You looked down at your tummy, before looking over to Jungkook who had a horrified expression on his face.
"…what on earth was that?" he looked to you, deadly serious.
"…um…I'm kind of, a little hungry…" you grimaced, flattening your bottom lip into a tight line.
"Jungkook, you idiot! You forgot to feed her!" Jungkook cursed himself for being so careless. He knew that you didn't manage to grab anything to eat before you both left to go shopping – which meant, the last time you ate was probably something that morning before you left for work. "Humans need food at least three times a day, you fool – you're supposed to be looking after her!" he beat himself up on the inside, recalling Taehyung's final words to him at the door just mere moments ago.
"Sir, before you leave me home, do you mind if we call into a convenience store so I can pick up something to eat?" you asked politely as Jungkook turned the key in the ignition.
"You know – we're not in the office right now. You don't have to call me Sir. Jungkook is fine…" he almost said aloud, wishing with all his being that you would drop the honorific's so he could hear how sweet his name sounded falling from your lips again. "I have a better idea in regards to food" there was a certain element of humour in his voice as he began reversing out of the driveway.
"Huh? What do you mean?" you asked, confused by the playful look smacked on his face whilst he swung the car around and began driving back in the direction of the town.
"No more questions – you'll see what I mean shortly, (Y/N)" he quickly flickered his eyes in your direction, not being able to comprehend how even in a state of complete bewilderment; he found himself so undeniably smitten and in love with everything about you.
Jungkook deflected all kinds of questions and queries throughout the entire twenty-five minutes it took to arrive to wherever he was taking you. "Not another clothes shop…please…" you prayed as you looked out the window to see the early evening streets bustling with last minute shoppers as the sky started to darken above them. Even though it was strange in the beginning, being in Jungkook's presence outside of work hours had become somewhat second nature to you. You no longer found yourself being on edge with everything you said – especially since you knew that there was a tender soul underneath his harsh exterior. Conversely, Jungkook was no longer on edge any time you were to accidentally brush your skin with his – for your touch had seemingly become one with his body. However; he still craved even more of you – thoughts that were practically taking over his mind at this stage.
The car suddenly came to halt outside what appeared to be a restaurant. You gazed through the car-window, attempting to read the name – but not wanting to butcher the pronunciation as you assumed it was either Spanish or Italian.
"il…ta…tavo.."
"il tavolino" Jungkook corrected you. "It's Italian, it means 'the little table' - do you like Italian food?"
"Yes, but…" you wavered, observing the exterior of the restaurant that screamed nothing less than 'pricey' to you. Jungkook picked up on your hesitance immediately from the way you glanced back at him, uncertainty filling your eyes.
"I frequent this place often with clients, so don't worry about the price. I get somewhat of a special discount for being a loyal customer" his words were half true. Jungkook did do most of his business dinners at il tavolino with his human clients; however, his mother's side of his family were royalty from Italy – and his uncle just happened to be the owner of this particular restaurant.
"Hmm…okay" you weren't in a position to argue, seeing as your stomach felt like it was quite literally about to eat itself from the amount of hunger you felt – and Jungkook secretly used this to his advantage. He wanted you to experience what was – in his opinion, one of the finest restaurants in the world. He wanted to give you everything he could, and if that meant starting off with a beautiful dress and a fine meal; he was more than happy with that deal. Selfishly, Jungkook also wanted to experience what it felt like to wine and dine the woman who had rendered him accidentally in love.
You stepped out of the car, watching Jungkook pass his keys to the valet boy to take care of the parking, before walking side by side with him up the small set of stairs and inside the restaurant. You felt like you had just been transported to a quaint, authentic Italian town - noticing the beautiful, intricate design of the golden yellow walls that gave off a homely vibe from the moment you entered. Before you could step another foot into the main area of the restaurant, you were both greeted by a tall man, dressed in a beautiful suit with a welcoming smile on his face.
What happened next had you in complete awe, as Jungkook proceeded to have a full scale conversation in Italian with the man you assumed was a waiter. If you weren't already attracted to Jungkook before, you certainly were now as you listened to the delicate rolling of his R's – the way the language seemed to fall from his lips so gently had you feeling a certain warmth inside of you as you just stood gawping at him.
"This way, (Y/N)" Jungkook spoke to you softly as he placed his hand on the small of your back, ushering you alongside him behind the waiter who was leading you to a quiet corner of the establishment. You didn't even notice the few other people at the tables around you, nor did you notice that you were still staring at Jungkook with your mouth wide open as you both sat down across from each other at the table.
"…you can speak Italian?" you questioned him after the waiter placed two menus in front of you both. Jungkook chuckled slightly at the innocent expression all over your face.
"Yes – my mother is Italian so…naturally, she taught it to me while I was growing up" he smiled curiously, trying his best to sound as normal as possible. Jungkook was a very educated Vampire – possessing the knowledge of many languages; including Italian, English, Korean, Japanese, Mandarin, Romanian and Arabic – among many other Afroasiatic and European languages; not to mention Latin and the old Vampire tongue, too. After all, he had been around for over four-hundred years. And language learning had become somewhat of a hobby to Jungkook over the years he spent alone.
"I can barely speak my own language…let alone a second one…" you thought, feeling incredibly amazed at how easy to was for Jungkook to switch between speaking two different languages without a second of doubt.
"I didn't know you were bilingual" you said out-loud, flashing an impressed smile as you proceeded to browse the menu. "There's a lot you don't know about me, (Y/N)" Jungkook thought as he watched you leaf through the pages, curious as to what you would chose to order.
"You can order whatever you like~ Please, it's my treat for tonight" Jungkook chirped, almost taking you aback as you glanced at him from behind your menu, catching his lingering stare on you that always made you a little hot under the collar. Any time you had 'Italian' food, it usually meant pizza or pasta – but you did recognise something on the menu that you recalled having a very long time ago when you still lived with your grandparents.
"Hmm, I think I'll have the 'Bistecca alla fiorentina' – how about you?" you closed the menu and sat it in front of you.
"…(Y/N), you do know that the fiorentina steak is done traditionally in this restaurant?" Jungkook cocked an eyebrow at you in jest.
"Meaning?" you tilted your head, knowing that the steak you had before was to die for.
"Well, bistecca alla fiorentina is an Italian style steak but traditionally, it's served nearly blood rare…are you sure you're okay with that?"
"I prefer my steak rare to medium actually. When a steak is over cooked, you lose the delicious earthy taste. Never met a girl who likes her meat still half alive?" you giggled, deciding to tease him just a little as you picked up the wine menu. Jungkook stared at you, half impressed and half in shock. "Well, I've met many women who prefer their meal with blood…but they certainly weren't human…" he smirked to himself.
"Do you prefer white or red wine, (Y/N)?"
"Red – I'm just looking to see if they have a nice Merlot. The heady taste always goes well with steak, don't you agree, Sir?" you finally found what you were looking for a few pages in. To say that Jungkook was shocked would have been a great understatement. Vampires often liked to mix Merlot with blood, just purely because the consistency of Merlot was similar to that of blood – and the wine's headiness complemented the sweet metallic taste in the most beautiful way possible. "(Y/N)…could you be any more perfect…?" Jungkook lowered his eyes to your lips, letting his thoughts almost overwhelm him before the waiter came around to take your orders.
Jungkook ended up ordering the same as you. Your wine arrived within minutes – Jungkook letting you taste it first, before you both let natural conversation fill the atmosphere in wait of your steaks.
"You mentioned your mother is Italian?" you asked as your meals got placed in front of you, before pouring your second glass of wine.
"She is. My father met her many years ago in Rome, and they married in the subsequent years to follow" Jungkook informed you, watching you intensely as you sliced your steak open before you put in your mouth – chewing it well and soaking up the taste you adored.
"Sounds like it was rather romantic~" you swooned, feeling the effects of the heavy wine hit your system. Jungkook grinned at your words, knowing that you were becoming a little more loose-tongued, thanks to the Merlot. Jungkook didn't know the feeling of being drunk, but he assumed it must have been similar to having no worries since you seemed more relaxed than usual.
"I guess it was~ A few years after their marriage, my mother gave birth to my eldest sister – Hyeja. Then after that, came my second eldest sister – Chaewon. And then, I came along not too long after" Jungkook freely opened up to you – feeling normal for the first time in his life as he joined you in eating his steak, as if he were a husband eating with his wife at a fancy restaurant.
"Ah! You're the youngest of three then?" you smiled at him. You had always been curious to know about the Jeon family. You knew that his father – Jeon Jeonju, used to be a massive cooperate figure in his day; until he was succeeded by his only son, Jungkook. But you never knew about Jungkook's mother or sisters until now.
"Yes~ Hyeja and Chaewon are both married now. Hyeja has four children – two boys and two girls. Unfortunately, Chaewon and her husband…well, they are still trying to bear children." Jungkook didn't know why he felt so compelled to let you inside his life – having never spoken about such things to anyone before.
"I'm sorry to hear that…" you found yourself feeling genuinely sorry for his sister. "I hope they don't lose hope, Sir. There are many treatments available these days to aid pregnancy, so maybe they will have some luck in that department?" you replied optimistically. Jungkook wished he could tell you that female Vampires were not like female humans – in a sense that treatments such as IVF were useless to his kind. The only way a female Vampire could hope to become pregnant was to mate with another – Vampire or human, it didn't matter. Another point he could have mentioned was that female Vampires – unlike female humans, could carry a child at any given time. Meaning, they didn't go through the menopause – nor did they experience a menstrual cycle in the same way their human counterparts did. Jungkook smiled, knowing that – in a sense, your hope for his sister wasn't all lost; as it could still be possible in many years to come.
"Wow, this wine went straight to my head" you giggled, finishing up the last of your steak and feeling more than satisfied, before you found yourself empting the last of the bottle into your glass.
"Oh – did you want some more, Sir? Wait…aren't you driving me home?" you suddenly realised you were fast becoming the purest definition of tipsy, and Jungkook was your designated driver who also had a glass of Merlot. Jungkook leaned back, slowly rolling the sleeves of his white shirt up as he chuckled to himself.
"I'm fine – don't worry about me not being able to leave you home. I only had one glass, and the meal is absorbing the alcohol. You're quite safe with me, (Y/N). And…must you call me Sir? We're not in the office right now, you know…" he leaned forward, pushing his plate to the side and gazing into your eyes. He couldn't help but become transfixed by the pinky effect the alcohol had on your cheeks – wanting nothing more than to reach out and caress you with his hand to feel the warmth of your skin on his.
"Oh…" your mouth formed an O shape. "Well…would you prefer for me to call you Mr. Jeon?"
"Mr. Jeon is my father. Please, won't you call me Jungkook?" his smile dazzled you, making you feel even tipsier from the sight of him.
"Okay – Jungkook. Jungkook…Jungkook…" you giggled slightly, eliciting a small giggle from him in turn, leaving both of you laughing at the repetition of his name. It was at that point, the explicit thoughts of you saying his name over and over like a mantra entered Jungkook's head; but he knew that you had more than reached your limit in regards to alcohol consumption as he looked down at his watch, seeing the time as almost 8pm.
"I think it's time I left you home. Are you finished, (Y/N)?" Jungkook asked as he raised two of his elegant fingers in the air, attracting the attention of the waiter to signal that he was ready to leave.
You hiccuped unexpectedly, chasing the last of the wine in your glass before setting it down on the table gently. "Yes~ All finished" you tilted your head playfully as you slowly stood up. Jungkook – afraid that you might stumble, stood up with you; but you weren't so far gone that you couldn't stand on your own two feet. You balanced your weight well, only needing a few seconds to compose yourself before walking over beside Jungkook, looking up into his face with a dreamy expression on yours.
"Thank you for the dinner – it was truly lovely. I can't remember the last time my belly was so happy~" you cooed, placing your hand on Jungkook's chest before he immediately placed his on top of it. "There's that feeling again…" Jungkook let out a pleasured sigh – smelling the Merlot and blood on your breath and feeling your heavenly touch passing through him. Jungkook pulled your hand around his elbow, locking your arm with his for support as you both made your way towards the exit. He thanked the waiter on his way out – the waiter smiling at you both, full of gratitude and kindness as he opened the door for you. You felt the chilly night air hit your face, sobering you up ever so slightly in the process. Jungkook's car was ready and waiting – the valet boy skilfully throwing Jungkook's keys to him, and Jungkook catching them in one hand without so much as a single flinch.
"In you go – careful" Jungkook opened the door for you, helping you ease your way down into the seat before strapping your seatbelt around you. His face was so close to yours that you could practically hear your heartbeat roaring in your ears. All you wanted to do was to lean forward and press your lips on to his skin. "Would that be too bold? Would he think it's inappropriate?" you decided against doing so. Little did you know, Jungkook wished with every fibre of his being that you would be so daring. But at the same time, he wasn't sure if he would be able to contain himself either if you did.
The ride to your apartment was mostly spent in comfortable silence – with you speaking up every so often to continue drunkenly thanking Jungkook for treating you to the best meal you had all year. Jungkook found your semi-drunken state somewhat endearing, as it seemed the old saying of 'drunken minds speak sober hearts' certainly rang true. Jungkook had often thought of drunken humans as noisy, annoying pests; but you were entirely different. Jungkook seemed to think that you had a type of aura glowing from you – your happiness radiating throughout the car and seeping into him that just rendered him speechless with a dainty smile upon his soft lips. "I wish tonight would last an eternity…" he found himself thinking, as he pulled up outside your apartment block.
"Do you need help getting out, (Y/N)?" Jungkook asked you as he watched you fiddle with the seat-belt and opening the door.
You chuckled dryly, "Nope! I'm good~ I don't need any –"
No sooner had the words come out of your mouth, and no sooner had you hauled yourself out of the car; one of your heels gave way under your weight – sending you flying to the ground. You opened your mouth to scream, but you soon felt a pair of arms around your body that saved you from the sharp gravel of the ground.
"What? How?" you swung your head around, coming dangerously face to face with Jungkook as he held on to you tightly. "How did he get out of the car and round to me so fast? Am I that drunk that I didn't see him?!"
"You should have just asked me to help you…silly girl" Jungkook shook his head whilst smiling coyly – knowing that you were a little too wine-filled to notice that he had just moved faster than the speed of light to catch you in time.
"It's not because I've been drinking! Look!" you motioned towards the ground where the offending shoe lay – the heel completely snapped from the sole. Jungkook shook his head once more, looking down to your bare foot suspended in the air, before picking the shoe up and placing it in your hand.
"I guess I have no other choice then – hold on tight, (Y/N)" he whispered in your ear, before you felt his arm snake underneath your knees as he pulled you up into his chest; carrying you in a typical bridal style.
"No! Oh my god, you'll hurt yourself, I'm too heavy – put me down before you –"
"Oh for goodness sakes woman, you're not heavy. I've lifted heavier before" Jungkook playfully retorted back to you, absolutely loving the comedic shock on your face as he began striding towards the steps that lead to your apartment.
"Well, excuse me…man!" you replied, not knowing what to say back to him as you felt his grip on you tighten. Jungkook chuckled silently to himself – knowing that he could easily lift around three tonnes without breaking a sweat; thanks to his Vampire physical strength. In comparison, you were like a feather.
"Just…don't drop me, okay?" you mumbled sarcastically – but no sooner had the words left your mouth, Jungkook playfully pretended to lose his grip on you halfway up the steps – before quickly regaining a hold on you while managing to elicit a small, delightful yelp from you. You clung on to him like a baby koala around its mother – making Jungkook's Vampire heart beat with rapture.
"…you did that on purpose, didn't you?" you looked at him out of the corner of your eye, seeing a blameworthy smile unfold on his handsome features while he let out a gleeful chuckle. "Two can play at that game" you thought to yourself – a mischievous smile on your face as he stopped outside your door.
"Where's your key?" his voice was low, soft and melodic as he gently set you down on the ground in front of him, his hands on your hips to support you as your back pressed against his chest.
"In my bag – hang on" you replied, quickly coming up with a deviant plan to get him back. "Found them!" you purred, pulling your keys out and taking your sweet time locating the correct one. Jungkook watched your fingers from over your shoulder as you leaned forward to try and slide the key into the lock. You could have, of course, opened the door very easily and let both of you in immediately. But pay-back is a bitch, and the alcohol spurred your mind to do something you would have never done if you were sober. You bent forward even more, angling your behind right over where you felt Jungkook's belt sit on your cheeks in an attempt to try and get a better look at the lock.
Jungkook watched you bend over right in front of him, feeling you press between his legs as his fingertips began primitively gripping your hips unbeknownst to him. "…(Y/N)…what are you doing…" he internally growled – but rather enjoying the view as he cocked an eyebrow and tilted his head to the side, desperately trying to contain his arousal he felt within his core.
"Jungkook…it won't go in~ I can't get it in…can you put it in for me?" you turned your head to the side to look back at him, donning an innocent tone while purposefully biting your lip to further add to your sexual innuendo. You heard the groan that Jungkook's throat produced, making you feel like you had certainly won the battle – but Jungkook was not about to let you win the war. He leaned over you, his hips meeting the back of yours while he moved your hand out of the way of the lock. He could feel your hot blood pumping inside of you as he pressed into your clothed heat further, before sliding the key in effortlessly and unlocking the door.
"Would you like me to do anything else? Or are you satisfied that it's in now?" he whispered in a deep tone, his lips ghosting over your ear so feather-like that it sent shivers across your body.
"Asshole…is he teasing me back?" you thought, as you opened the door and pushed it open – still feeling Jungkook's grip on your hips.
"So – do I get a reward for assisting you?" his voice stopped your movements as you swallowed hard.
"…w-what do you mean?" you stuttered as his hands left your body.
"I meant – like a coffee? Seeing as last time, I never got to finish it~ Why? What did you think I meant, (Y/N)?" his voice was like silk. You couldn't see him, but you could sense him smirking behind you.
"Oh!" you exclaimed, widening your eyes and turning to open the door for him. "Of course – come in, I'll just go to the bathroom first and then I'll put the kettle on" you could feel your adrenaline coursing through you as you recalled the kiss you both shared last time. "What if…what if he means that?" you thought excitedly. "If he means that…I'll go 'freshen' up in the bathroom" you told yourself as you watched Jungkook remove his shoes before stepping inside to your main living area.
Not a moment after Jungkook straightened himself up, Mugsy came darting over from his corner in your living room, mewing and curling around Jungkook's leg. "Wow…someone missed you…" you muttered, feeling slightly bitter at the fact that your own cat liked Jungkook better than you.
"Hello, Mugsy" Jungkook chimed, tilting his head at the cat – noticing that Mugsy seemed slightly distressed.
"Your Highness, where have you been? I have…something to discuss with you" Jungkook heard Mugsy's thoughts loud and clear, before looking back to you.
"You said you needed to use the bathroom? Go on ahead~ I'll be waiting here for you. Take your time" Jungkook smiled at you, ever so handsome and charming that had your heartbeat roaring in fury, and your temperature rising ever-so-slightly.
"I'll just be a moment! Why don't you take a seat?" you gestured to the sofa, before carefully turning around and making your way into the bathroom. "I'm so glad I shaved my legs this morning…" you thanked yourself, secretly hoping that tonight would be the night you could continue where you left off with Jungkook. You locked the bathroom door behind you, and got straight to splashing some water around your face – before deciding it would be best to freshen up in other areas; just in case. You'd never had sex before, but you weren't completely wet behind the ears either. The thought of even having a heavy make-out session along with some heavy-petting with your boss really got your adrenaline pumping; and you certainly would have been lying if you hadn't fantasised about it before.
As soon as you disappeared behind the door, Jungkook walked over to the sofa and sat down – his eyes fixed on Mugsy as they both began to communicate in their own, unique way.
"Your Highness, I'll be frank with you. There's not much time – and I fear that my human may be in danger." Mugsy blinked frantically as he jumped up on the couch beside Jungkook.
"What do you mean 'in danger'?" Jungkook gave him somewhat of a bewildered look.
"One of your kind…not Royal like your highness but – something quite evil has been lurking around outside for days. He has been watching the human from a distance – but came a little too close just this morning"
Jungkook felt a cold shiver run through him at Mugsy's thoughts. But before he could answer, the cat jumped into his lap – continuing with his explanation.
"I managed to take a swing at the bastard when he poked his head in through the window. I don't know if you'll be able to still detect him on my claws, but –"
"Let me see" Jungkook swiftly took Mugsy's outstretched paw in question, lowering his nose to take a good sniff at it. He didn't need to think twice about who the Vampire may have been – but he needed solid confirmation. "May I?" Jungkook began pulling the cat's skin back to revel his claws – swabbing his finger along each of them, before placing them in his own mouth to see if he could note any trace of blood.
"Yoongi…" Jungkook said out loud. Jungkook had certainly felt fearful when he had walked in to reveal you shoved against a wall, thanks to Mr. Brown – but it was nothing like the terror that coursed through his immortal soul in that moment. His breathing became almost erratic at the thought of Yoongi being within such close proximity to you, but the question remained – "What the hell does he want with (Y/N)?" he asked himself, looking over towards the bathroom door to hear running water in the sink.
"Your Highness, I implore you. You must do something about this…" Mugsy swished his tail in the air, his eyes wild and full of fear.
"I have to get her out of here…it's not safe. She's not safe – I can't leave her alone. What's happening?" Jungkook quietly thought to himself, trying to come up with a believable excuse to get you as far away from your apartment as possible. Jungkook knew the safest place for you would be his Manor; for the Jeon Manor estate was built on holy Vampire ground. Meaning, no one could enter unless they were regium - of Royal blood, or if they were invited in by the occupant.
"Time is of the essence, your Highness" Mugsy gave one final warning, before lowering himself down on to the floor and averting his eyes towards the bathroom door. Jungkook knew that no matter what – he had to come up with a way to get you out of your apartment. He had no idea what Yoongi was up to, but he knew that him lurking around was no coincidence. "He's up to something…is he trying to get to me through (Y/N)? What could that possibly achieve?" he wondered – but he found himself non-the-wiser, no matter how hard he tried to deduct any logical explanations.
You finally finished freshening up after neatly patting down your hair behind your ears – giving yourself one last look in the mirror, before opening the door that lead back into where you knew Jungkook would be sitting; waiting for you.
"Sorry for the wait, I…." you trailed off, letting your eyes fall upon Jungkook, who was very comfortably lying on your sofa on his back – his eyes closed with his hands folded neatly on his waistline.
"You've got to be kidding me…" you let out a defeated sigh as you began quietly walking over to his apparent sleeping form. "The ONE night that this could have happened…and he falls asleep. Great!" you shook your head in disappointment, leaning down to get a closer look at his peaceful, dozing face – noticing that he was still dressed as impeccably as he was in his black suit, except his jacket was hanging over the back of your sofa; leaving him in his white button up that had you feeling weak at the knees.
"Sir – I mean, Jungkook…are you sleeping?" you asked, hoping that your voice would have been enough to spring him from his slumber. But to your dismay, all you got in reply was a soft, gentle snore escaping his throat. You sighed, dropping your shoulders while tilting your head in the process. As much as you wanted to violently shake him and wake him up – you just couldn't help but become mesmerised by him, even as he slept. You leaned in closer to his face, noticing smaller details you never noticed about him before – such as the almost invisible freckle above his nostril, and another right underneath his pink, bottom lip. His skin looked like a new-born babe's with how soft and dewy it seemed in the gentle lighting of your apartment. Boldly, you reached out – running the back of your finger along his cheek, smiling to yourself. "You're…so perfect" you whispered, thanking whatever God was listening that he wasn't awake to hear your thoughts of him.
But, little did you know – Jungkook was fully awake and alert; and he was absolutely relishing in every second you provided him. Stage one of his plan to get you to leave your apartment had gone well. "Forgive me, (Y/N)" he apologised internally to you. You were so close to him that Jungkook could have moved his hands a mere half-an-inch, and his fingers would touch your waistline as you hovered over his body. And – that's exactly what he did.
"Jungkook!" you gasped, feeling his arms snake around you, before pulling you down on top of him and placing you in between his body and the back of the sofa – facing him. "Jungkook…Jungkook…I –" you opened your eyes to observe his still sleeping face – his mouth slightly agape as his arm sat loosely over your waist. "Oh god – what do I do? He's out for the count…what do I do?! You panicked, knowing that he obviously didn't mean to do what he had just done…or did he?
You lay beside him, watching the rise and fall of his chest and listening to his gentle breathing. "This…this is kind of nice…" you thought, not being able to stop a shy smile from forming on your face as you felt the warmth of his chest against yours. Jungkook couldn't see you, but he could hear, smell and feel everything about you – and he was in absolute paradise.
"I guess…I could just close my eyes for a few moments…and then try waking him up again?" you decided, feeling the familiar haze of sleepiness wash over you – that, along with the alcohol in your system that was fast making you feel like you needed to take a nap for a few hours. You began imagining – "What if this was a real relationship? What if he was my boyfriend and we fell asleep together in each other's arms?" you smiled faintly. Jungkook felt your body relax, almost moulding against his – before you closed your eyes and let sleep take over you entirely.
After a few moments, Jungkook could sense your heartbeat levelling at a normal rate of 64 beats per minute, meaning that you were truly asleep and at rest. Slowly, he began peeling himself off you, rolling off the couch and safely on to his feet without disturbing your slumber. He looked down at you, a sorry smile present on his lips as he wanted so badly to just lie beside you all night – for he had never lay beside a sleeping human before. Feeling the natural rise and fall of your chest and the warmth of your body against his made his emotions go into complete over-drive. He had long spent his days trying to imitate the way in which humans breathed and acted when they were asleep; but feeling the real thing from the creature he loved was something else entirely. Alas, he knew that he had a job to do.
"Mugsy?" Jungkook addressed the cat from the other side of the room in his plush bed – capturing the felines full and undivided attention.
"You may wish to locate higher ground…
…it's about to get very wet in here."
