The days seemed to roll into one since you had temporarily become the lady of Jeon Manor. From the Monday night when he had carried you to his bedroom in his arms, Jungkook could hardly resist being away from your side – which of course; you had no complaints about. Since you were practically glued to Jungkook's hip, he could do a much better job of protecting you from whatever sinister intentions Yoongi had; which meant that you could go to and from work with him, with no problems occurring at all.

Your professional life continued from the Wednesday morning right up until Friday evening – with you both arriving to work and acting like nothing was going on between the two of you; on the outside, at least. You were thankful that none of your co-workers seemed to pick up on the fact that every time you and Jungkook were alone in the office; playful flirtation and wanton looks were exchanged between you and your boss. However, as soon as Jungkook managed to get you home within the privacy of his domain – it was free game between you. By Friday evening, you had both managed to Christen every single room in his manor with your heavy love-making; most of the time Jungkook being between your legs and eliciting harmonious gasps of air and elongated cries from your lips each time he so much as trailed his fingers along the insides of your thighs. On the other hand, however – Jungkook was pleasantly surprised to see you coming out of your shell to him a little more. Not only had he really been 'showing you who was boss', you had also decided to take it upon yourself to pin his wrists to whatever surface lay underneath him in an attempt to try and take control a few times, too. Jungkook knew that he could have overpowered you faster than the blink of an eye; but he couldn't deny the lick of sexiness in your eyes and demeanour when you did such things – always leaving him lusting after you ten times more than he previously did. Thus, hey lay back and let you think you had complete control over him; but of course, you never really did.

One thing that you had come to love just as much as Jungkook, was his tender pillow-talk after making you come undone two, three – possibly even four times beneath him. You had often seen couples in movies – the way they opened their hearts to each other after baring their souls in the form of pleasured intimacy; but nothing could have prepared you for the warmth of the real thing.

As you lay with your head in the crook of Jungkook's neck, you felt nothing but pure nirvana. From the way his arms cradled you and held you close, to the comforting rise and fall of his chest – and to the soothing flickering of the fire in his bedroom; you were swaddled in nothing less than complete happiness. For the past few days, Jungkook found himself almost completely forgetting about the fact that he was a Vampire; for he truly felt alive. His heart had seemingly imprinted with yours – regulating to the same beat and frequency of your vibrant wavelengths. For the first time ever, he was happy. He was smitten. He felt loved.

But yet, there was a burning desire that stewed within his soul. He knew almost everything about you now – your likes, dislikes, your goals, dreams and fears; but there was one thing that he wished to know so badly about. However, asking you was something that made him quite unsure of himself, as he feared it would upset you beyond consolation. Ever since the night you had told him that your parents passed away when you were still very young – he had wanted to know more to that story. Jungkook was naturally a curious Vampire, but he wished to know every single detail about the woman he had fallen helplessly, hopelessly, and painfully tragically in love with.

"(Y/N)?" Jungkook hummed, his fingers still lightly stroking the soft, delicate skin of your neck that always seemed to leave an echo of warmth.

"Hmm?" you responded, raising your eyebrows slightly as you watched the fire burning across from you both in his bed.

"Can I ask you something?"

"You just did~"

Both of you let out faint-hearted laughs – Jungkook squeezing his arm around your bare body tighter as you clutched on to his frame with your hand.

"Yes, of course you can. You can ask me anything, Jungkook" you looked up to him slightly, clearly able to see the serious expression that began to form on his features.

"There's something that I've been wondering about. Yet – I don't want the topic to upset you or cause you any….emotional discomfort. We spoke briefly about the matter when you first invited me in for coffee. Do you remember?" he let his question drop as he heard your heartbeat quicken. Had you not already been used to Jungkook's magniloquent way of expressing himself; you would have felt like you were in a psychiatrists office – rather than in the arms of your boyfriend in his bed after sex.

"…you're talking about my parents, right?" you answered quietly, lowering your eyes back to his chiselled torso that glowed in the fire-light. You knew that sooner or later, you would have to open up to Jungkook about your painful past that frequently haunted your dreams for the last thirteen years. Yet, you found yourself feeling scared to even begin to try and explain to him what truly happened. Usually, when people asked about the death of your parents – you gave them the same bogus story that you had been telling people for years. "My parents died in a car-accident when I was young" always being one of your opening lines. But Jungkook, Jungkook was different. He wasn't just a nosey co-worker looking for a bit of scoop. He wasn't some random guy who had stopped you on the street to try and get your number off you. "No. Jungkook…Jungkook has become one of the most important people in my life. He should know this about me…right?" You found yourself lamenting.

"I doubt that you'd even believe me if I told you what really happened to my parents" you muttered into his skin, before saying to yourself "No one else did."

"You really think I won't believe you?" his voice was husky and calm. "I want to…know more about you. I want you to let me in where no one else has been before, (Y/N)…please?" he reduced his words to a charismatic whisper, while simultaneously thinking to himself "And I want to do the same for you…" Jungkook had fully intended on telling you of his true nature – and this was essentially stage one; seeing if you trusted him enough to admit something that you're terrified of. In his own way, Jungkook had concluded that perhaps if you both admitted your darkest secrets; there would be a trail of understanding left in each other's wake. He wanted to show you that no matter how terrible or grim your tale was; he could understand and still accept you. And in return, he hoped that you would harbour the same empathy, too. Jungkook knew that regardless of how shocking your story might seem to you, he possessed his own that might be one to top anything you could ever reveal to him.

You let his dizzying words reverberate throughout your mind as you swallowed hard and clenched your teeth. You had never opened up to anyone before about your parents. In fact, the only person that truly knew about their fate in the end was your younger brother…but the police never entertained his version of events.

"Jungkook opened up to me about his family…isn't it only fair if I do the same?" you blinked a few times, thinking back to Monday night when he spoke of his entire family at the Italian restaurant he took you to. Jungkook could feel your body tensing up against his, causing him to grip on to you even tighter in return – for reassurance. He could gauge from your entire body language that it was something heart-wrenchingly difficult for you to talk about; so he made sure that you felt loved, safe and protected.

"I've never told anyone before, so forgive me if I go a little quiet from time to time" you nuzzled your face into his chest further, not wanting to look him in his eyes.

"Take your time, my love. Take all the time you need" he whispered gently into your ear, moving his hand in soothing motions along the curve of your ribcage, just shy of your breasts.

You took a deep breath, and decided to start by telling him the truth – despite your body quivering in his wake.

"I kind of lied to you when I said that my parents passed away when I was seven" you began. Jungkook listened carefully, continuing his steady breathing and movements of his hand on you. "My parents didn't pass away when I was seven. They were murdered."

Taken aback by the cold, empty tone of your voice, Jungkook held a shallow breath in his throat – not really knowing what to say or how to respond; if he should respond at all to such painful memories for you. However, just as he was about to comfort you with his words, you continued.

"It was a Thursday – and it was just like any other day, thirteen years ago. I had gone to school and my parents stayed at home with my little brother Sid. His name is actually Cassidy - but when he was born, I could never pronounce it properly. So…that's how we came to call him Sid" you let out a half-hearted chuckle, thinking back to the fond memories of your family that you could still remember so clearly and vividly in your mind. Jungkook found himself smiling at finally knowing the name of your younger sibling, but he knew that there was more to come.

"Since Sid had just turned four, he was still in playschool. So my mother picked him up at 12pm and took him home. My father worked from home most of the time because he was an accountant. We didn't have a lot of money seeing as it was only my father who worked – but we were comfortably well off with the money he made" you decided to offer Jungkook some back-story; for your sake, more than his.

"I was at school…when it happened. So I wasn't actually there. But, my brother was – and despite what others involved may have thought, I still believe his version of what happened."

"What happened (Y/N)…?" Jungkook trailed off, trying to imagine how your brother must have felt to witness such a thing at the delicate age of four.

"Sid was in the living room watching TV while my father was out in the back garden helping my mother – she loved gardening" you took a deep breath, trying your best to just tell the story without letting tears trickle down your face. "Sid said he heard a knock at our front door, so he went to answer it. We lived in a really safe, nice neighbourhood – full of kids and friendly families. These days, I suppose parents would never let their children answer the door by themselves. But there was never any reason for my parents to fear for our lives in that sense. Nothing bad ever happened in our neighbourhood…not until this, anyway."

Jungkook couldn't quite put his finger on the reason why he began to feel what appeared to be chills on the back of his neck as he cleared his throat slightly. "So, he opened the door?"

"Yes. He said it was a man – a tall man, but Sid was very small at the time so we never knew what height he could have been. He did remember that he had black hair – and a big smile. The man asked Sid if his parents were home – told him that he was their friend and asked him if he could come in. And of course, Sid opened the door wide and said yes." You spoke slowly while Jungkook began to feel your heartbeat hammer in your chest – noticing your almost ragged breathing.

"Sid led him into the living room and the man started asking if his big sister was home too. Sid told him that I was still at school – and that our parents were out in the garden…"

As you continued to talk about Sid's encounter with the man, Jungkook squinted his eyes slightly, panning his vision back and forth across the room and wondering just what on earth the sickening feeling in his stomach was. The more you spoke of this mysterious man, the more the sensation in his gut made itself painfully known. "What is this?" he thought. "Was the attack THAT premeditated? Did he watch her family beforehand?" thankful that you were facing away from him so that you couldn't see his woe-stricken features.

"Eventually, my father came back into the house to be met by this man sitting beside Sid on our sofa…Sid, he – " your words caught themselves in your throat. "Sid was only young, but he was able to tell the police that the man fought with my father, before my mother came running inside – probably because Sid was either crying or screaming for them to stop."

Silence fell between you both as the story you had never verbalised held you in its deathly grasp. However, you could feel Jungkook's loving embrace around you – and his small pecks to the top of your head; ultimately letting you know that he was there for you, and that you were safe.

"This man, he…murdered your parents?"

"Yes. The man who Sid let into our home…killed both of our parents right in front of him. Sid saw every detail. He saw every blood splatter…he heard every scream that echoed in our living room. And he never closed his eyes…not once" you shut your eyes tightly, breathing deeply and trying your damnedest not to cry.

"Were the police able to catch this murderer?" Jungkook questioned offensively, the feeling in his gut only growing stronger the more his curiosity burned. He was surprised to hear a sarcastic chuckle escape you in response, a hint of painful annoyance laced in your tone.

"The police received an emergency call from one of our neighbours who had heard all the screaming. When they arrived – Sid was curled up in a ball on the sofa, crying. My parents were lying in a puddle of their own blood…and the man disappeared without so much of a fingerprint left behind. To this day – no one knows who he is or where he is. He vanished without a trace."

Jungkook widened his eyes to their full capacity, the feeling in his gut now having spread to his chest that felt like a stake had just been unforgivably rammed through him. "No…" Jungkook thought, knowing now – exactly why he had been feeling this way whilst hearing the story of your parents death; for he had just come to the sudden realisation that it wasn't the first time he had heard it.

"…did Sid tell the police how the man…did it?" Jungkook hoped with all his might that the situation he knew of – and your situation were two completely, separate events.

"On the autopsy report, it's written that the cause of death was knife wounds to their chest and head. But Sid was always adamant that the man did NOT have a knife" you paused, feeling tears sting your eyes like never before – feeling uncontrollable sadness and guilt fill you from the tips of your toes to the top of your head.

"My then four year old brother – in his innocence, told the police that…that 'Dracula' killed our parents"

Jungkook's heart seemingly stopped as he tensed his jaw in anger and fear. "No…it can't be…it can't be her family…it can't be…"

"He said that Dracula bit our parents and sucked their blood with his fangs. He also said that Dracula was about to get him too – but two other men came inside the house and took him away before he could kill Sid. He never saw their faces, but he said they were speaking in some… funny, made up language. Of course, the police thought he was just saying these things because he was a young boy with a vivid imagination who obviously watched too many scary movies. Soon after, my brother stopped talking altogether because of the trauma…and a year later, my grandparents were forced to admit him to a psychiatric hospital near their home-town. And he's been locked in there ever since. According to the police and the doctors that interviewed him – he was 'delusional' and 'neurotic'" your voice – completely filled with woe and tragedy, withered away to nothing but a mere whisper.

Every millilitre of consumed blood that ran through Jungkook's veins turned cold at the realisation that your brother was in fact – telling the truth. Jungkook knew for certain that it was a Vampire that had killed your parents. But it wasn't just any Vampire.

Thirteen years ago, a Vampire who had decided to turn rogue made his way to a suburban cul-de-sac to wreak havoc upon a house of unsuspecting humans; Jungkook knew this to be true. He also knew that this Vampire had received permission from a young boy to enter his chosen house, before single-handedly slaughtering the young boy's parents right in front of his eyes. And just as this Vampire was about to kill the young boy, Jungkook's father - Jeon Jeonju, and Jungkook's cousin – Gabriel Montgomery, rushed in to try and stop the Vampire from doing any damage at all; but they soon found out that it was too late for the mother and the father. After saving the young boys life, Jeonju and Gabriel forcefully took the Vampire back to the Montgomery Mansion where Jungkook was waiting – having fully decided to execute the Vampire for his wrong-doing of taking not just one, but two human lives. But, with the Vampires mother – Ciella Montgomery, begging for son's life; Jungkook decided to imprison the  rogue Vampire to a life of confinement – for eternity. Jungkook had asked the Vampire why he did it – but only got maddened cackling and mumbling in return. With the sheer amount of wealth that the Montgomery's possessed, they managed to cover up the entire incident. Even with the young boy saying that 'Dracula' was there, the Vampire had gotten away with everything – the Montgomery's knowing that human's wouldn't ever believe that Vampires actually existed; especially not from the mouth of one, infant boy.

However, in the Montgomery's haste to cover up their son's tracks, they had completely overlooked the fact that there was a young girl being left alone in the world without parents, too. Jungkook had now just realised, that young girl was you.

And the Vampire that killed your parents was Jungkook's older cousin; Yoongi.

"Of course, I don't actually think it was 'Dracula' that killed my parents" you wiped fresh tears away with the side of your hand, hoping that Jungkook didn't notice them. Your sudden words had taken Jungkook out of his deep thoughts of the past, before he spoke up once more.

"…what do you think instead?" his voice quivered – his hands still on your skin; but Jungkook felt like everything was about to come crashing down around him.

"There's no such thing as Vampires. It's like people who believe in ghosts, demons and all that otherworldly tripe" you replied out of pure scorn for your parents. You'd always been the 'seeing is believing' type of person.

"I believe that the person who killed my parents was a lunatic who was obsessed with the idea of being a Vampire. I'd even go as far as to say that he probably did it to others before…he probably still does, even now. Like I said – there's no such thing as Vampires. Surely…such monsters wouldn't be allowed to exist, right?" your words were bitter and hateful, and Jungkook felt like you had just unknowingly ripped his heart clean out of his chest.

"Such monsters…" Jungkook repeated to himself, tensing his neck and feeling his veins beginning to protrude while a heavy weight of disgust sat on his lungs. "How can…how can I tell her about what I truly am, now?" he almost let out an exasperated sigh of disdain, but he knew he couldn't react in any other way – than to just continue holding you closely in his embrace. He knew that most humans would probably regard Vampires in that way if they knew of their true existence, but to hear it coming from you almost completely broke him altogether. "I'm not like him…I'm not the monster you think I am…" he kept saying to himself over and over.

"I think…the person who did that to your parents – whether they are human or otherwise doesn't make a difference. What he did to your parents; was just pure evil." Jungkook spoke up after what seemed like a moment too long - a rather large, dry lump present in his throat

"It's strange – that's similar to what my brother says every time I go to visit him" you replied. Jungkook tilted his head slightly at your response, his mind full of more questions.

"Every time you go to visit him? In the…the psychiatric hospital?"

"Yes. I go to see him once a month if I can get the chance to. My grandparents used to pay for his treatment annually, but since I started working for you…I was finally able to pay for it myself" your words struck guilt and shame into Jungkook like he had never experienced it before. Jungkook finally understood why you lived the way you did – why you owned such a run-down apartment and why you essentially couldn't afford to do anything else other than make money. "All this time…you've been suffering. You've had to endure the aftermath of something I should have put an end to…and I had no idea this entire time."

"Every time I go to see Sid – he says nothing but the same thing; over and over again. And each time I go there, he draws a picture of 'Dracula' to give to me. The picture has changed over the years as Sid got older and more skilled with drawing…but it still looks similar to the one he drew back then somehow" you breathed out on top of Jungkook's skin, feeling like somewhat of a heavy burden had been lifted from your shoulders as you shared your most darkest memories and thoughts with Jungkook. You never would have imagined the warm, comforting feeling that came from trusting someone with your life; and you trusted Jungkook with it in its entirety. Jungkook lips fell into a tight line at your mention of the picture that your brother drew.

"Do you still have the drawings he gives you?" Jungkook successfully kept his voice soft and soothing, making it sound like he wasn't hyperaware of the entire situation at all. Part of him wanted to see the pictures for himself; hoping that it wasn't really your family that Yoongi had decimated – and he held on to that hope as tight as he was holding on to you.

You shook your head as you repositioned yourself on his body. "I can't bear to look at the face that stares back at me in those drawings. I stopped taking them home a long time ago…" you muttered.

"Would you recognise his face if…if you were to see it in real life?"

You chuckled sheepishly at his question, before raising your head slightly to look into his intense, dark orbs that burned back into yours. "Jungkook – I've been searching for that face for the past thirteen years in the hopes of somehow getting justice for my parents. I would never forget it. Ever."

Jungkook nodded slowly, watching you as you placed your head back down on his chest. Even though he was hurting on the inside, he still couldn't stop himself from affectionately coursing his fingers through your hair, stroking each strand delicately that somehow soothed both you and him.

"You said that Sid keeps saying something to you" Jungkook spoke up, almost not wanting to continue the conversation as you pressed your soft lips to his chest – sending a thrill of shivers throughout him. "What is it that he tells you?"

You ceased your kisses on his skin, looking straight ahead of you into the dancing flames that curled around the iron guard in front of fire-place -  with your brothers words that you could never forget circling your mind; over and over.

"He's evil. He'll find you, (Y/N). Stay away. Stay away"
