During the remarkably manic drive back to Jungkook's Manor, you slipped in and out of consciousness for the entire journey – waking up and remembering what had happened, but only to fall back asleep from a mixture of stress and anxiety you had previously succumbed to. Jungkook was fully aware each and every time you woke up from the sound of your heartbeat increasing, but he kept his eyes firmly fixed on road instead. Doing well over 120mph for most of his journey – with Taehyung and Jimin closely following behind, they were forced to take a number of backstreets in the city to avoid traffic lights and other cars they shared the roads with. However, as soon as they turned on to the miles of long country roads that led to his Manor – it was free game for them to really put their foot down. Being a royal Vampire, Jungkook's dexterous sensory finesse was unrivalled in comparison to Taehyung's or Jimin's; and he could sense for miles if another car were to come in the opposite direction. And although Taehyung had never found himself in a position to peak at such speeds; he trusted Jungkook as his Prince, as a leader – and as his cousin, too.

Upon arriving at the gates of his Manor, Jungkook rolled down his window for Taehyung and Jimin to ask him for permission to walk upon the sacred ground that was his Vampiric abode – to which he met the traditional custom and invited them in as his guests. The law of invitation was not only exclusive for humans in regards to letting a Vampire walk freely into their home, but Vampires who were humani generis; from human decent, needed permission from the regium – Royal Blood Vampire to enter in much the same way. This was the predominant reason why Serrena told you all to get back to the Manor; as Yoongi was humani generis, and he would have a better chance at opening the gates to heaven before being allowed through the gates of Jungkook's Manor.

After pulling the handbrake up and swiftly moving around the car to your door, Jungkook opened it before unbuckling your seatbelt and carefully lifting you back into the safety of his chest with his left arm underneath your knees – his right cradling your back. You stirred to some extent in the shift of gravity amidst the chill of the night air – being able to hear the faint sound of the gentle breeze that rustled through the leaves on the surrounding trees. The next thing you could feel was comforting warmth surrounding you as Jungkook stepped inside his Manor – with Taehyung and Jimin closing the doors behind them both.

"What?…Are we back at the Manor?" you opened your eyes a little more, being met by the view of Jungkook's Adam's apple above his blood red cravat as your head rested on the crest of his shoulder.

"Taehyung, Jimin - you two can wait in the kitchen while I go upstairs and help her change. I'll be back soon" Jungkook spoke with authority as he began ascending the stairs with you clutched into his chest – knowing full well that you were finally coming to and waking up.

"T-Taehyung and Jimin are here?" you mumbled, your voice more than groggy as Jungkook reached the top of the stairs before walking to his bedroom and swinging open the ajar door.

"Yes, they came back to the Manor with us – you're safe. You've no need to be afeared" Jungkook nuzzled his face to your head, laying a chaste kiss right on top of your hairline as he approached his four-poster bed. He sat you down gently, keeping his hands on either side of your frame to ensure that you could hold yourself up – to which you could, despite still feeling small fractions of faintness.

"Are you okay (Y/N)? Do you feel sick?" Jungkook's voice was filled with concern as he lowered himself down on to his knees in front of you to look at you from below. You shook your head in response, raising your hand to your left temple to rub at the confusion that resided within it.

"Jungkook…why was that man at the ball?" you didn't waste time in addressing the elephant in the room as you looked straight into Jungkook's eyes. Jungkook – like his mother, usually was able to don an extremely well refined pokerface; but when it came to you, he couldn't hide the obvious emotion inside of him as he blinked and let his eyes dart from you to different areas around the room. Having worked for Jungkook for the best part of eight months, and having been around him so intimately for days on end since beginning your relationship with him; you had come to notice his usual habits and patterns of speech and facial expressions…and you noticed his hesitation immediately. You spoke once again – this time, with a little less patience.

"Do you know him? Do your parents know him? Does anyone even know how much of a monster that piece of filth is?" your words dripped with spiteful venom – mixed with a hint of fear as you recalled the way the man had stared straight at you so chillingly. "Has anyone called the police? We have to let them know that he's the one who –"

"(Y/N)" Jungkook interrupted you, putting his hands on your knees and tightening his grasp on you ever so slightly. "I…I would be lying to you if I said I didn't know him. His family and my family have been business associates for a very long time; but no one has seen hide nor hair of him for over a decade. But I promise you, I had no idea of what he had done to you or to your family…not until you said 'it's him' tonight" Jungkook never broke eye contact with you as he did essentially tell you the truth. Although he had already known it was Yoongi when you first told him the finer details about your past night before the ball – it was merely an immensely strong suspicion that it was him. But tonight; your words and actions confirmed his identity, once and for all.

You searched every single one of Jungkook's striking features for any inclination that he was fabricating his words – but you found none. You knew he was telling you the truth, which in turn dispelled any irrational speculations you had formed in your head.

"How do you know we're safe? What if he followed us here? What if he's on his way? We should call the police and let them know!" you pleaded with him, looking over your shoulder to glance out the great half-circled window in panic – half expecting to see the man glaring through the glass at you. Jungkook took to his feet, moving your head back round to face him before pulling you into his torso – his hand protectively placed around the back of your head as his free arm clutched to the skin of your open back dress through the crystals.

"We're safe – I promise you. He cannot get in here and he never followed us" he whispered, feeling you cling on to his waist as your breathing became a fraction heavier at the thought of being stalked like innocent prey. "…we should call the police – yes, you're right…but, (Y/N)" he paused, moving back slightly to gaze down to your face. "We need to wait until my parents get here first. They'll know the best course of action to take as I believe they have dealt with him before in the past. But I assure you, you are safe. I will protect you – my family will protect you…and I won't let him lay a single finger on you. Do you understand me?" his voice was soft, yet there was an element of sombreness laced in it too.

"Your parents are coming?" you asked, seeing him nod his head in turn.

"Yes they are. So…before they arrive, would you like to change into something more comfortable?" he asked – this time with you nodding in response. You absolutely adored your dress to the high heavens, but you thought it best to be in something more comfortable; seeing as it was more than obvious that his parents were coming to have a serious talk with you about the man who more or less, ruined your childhood.

Jungkook turned to his dresser and opened it – fumbling around inside for a pair of his own black sweatpants, which evidently still had the tag on them for he never wore them before. He removed the tag with ease before pulling them – along with a grey sweatshirt out and sitting them beside you on the bed. You lowered your feet to the wooden floor below you – only realising now that your feet were bare and that Jungkook must have removed your shoes at some point when you were passed out.

"Can you help me undo the clasp at the back? You don't need to remove the lines of crystals – just unhook the metal ring at the top" you turned away from Jungkook – feeling him instantly place his fingers to the nape of your neck. It was in that moment, you thought of the most obvious question you should have asked Jungkook upon hearing him tell you that he knew who the man was.

"Jungkook; that monster…what's his name?" your voice shook into a barely audible whisper.

"…his name is Yoongi" he replied without much hesitation – hating the way his mouth felt as the two syllables of his elder cousins name rolled off his tongue.

"Yoongi…" you said to yourself – finally being able to put a name to such an unforgettable face. You had spent so long of your life, desperately hoping and wishing with every fibre of your being that you would be able to track down this 'Yoongi' and bring his actions to light – and ultimately, to justice. But upon seeing him tonight, you felt as if all that built up anger and frustration had completely transformed to nothing less than the true definition of the word fear. You didn't know whether it was because of what he had done to your family, or whether it was the fact that his very presence felt like the realms of hell itself. But he terrified you to the point of rendering you unable to move.

Jungkook effortlessly unclipped the clasp at the back of your dress – and the fabric immediately dropped to the floor around your ankles in a heap; leaving Jungkook with a view of your bare back in front of him. He paused for a moment – looking to the left to observe one of your bras folded neatly atop of one of his dressers. He quickly reached over, taking it in his grasp and undoing the three small hooks at the back.

"Put your arms in~" Jungkook's baritone voice sounded in your ear as he held the flimsy material of your bra in front of your body. You did as he asked, feeling him slide the straps up over your shoulders from behind you, before securing the hooks at the back and letting you adjust the cups as you saw fit. In no time at all, Jungkook had assisted you in putting on the rest of his own casual wear – a sight that always softened his Vampiric heart to see you wearing his clothes. You watched him as he proceeded to lift your dress off the floor – before draping it over the Ottoman at the foot of his bed.

"Taehyung wouldn't be best pleased if he found out we let his grand design lie on the floor" he gave you a half-whimsical smile in an attempt to cheer you up. You gave him a faint-hearted chuckle in turn – beginning to feel awful as you thought about how strange your actions probably seemed to Taehyung and the rest of Jungkook's family. You knew that you had every right to act in such a way, but to anyone on the outside who didn't know of your past; you had deducted that anyone could have been forgiven for thinking you were either insane, or a mighty drama queen.

"Jungkook…" you began as he walked back over to stand in front of you – his hand gently raising itself to hold your cheek and angle your face up towards his. "I'm sorry for everything. I'm sorry that I acted this way tonight. I couldn't control myself…I just…felt so overcome with fear and I didn't know what else to do with that thing right in front of me. If you hadn't of been there – I don't know what would have become of me. I know that I've embarrassed myself in front of your family, but more importantly; I know I've embarrassed you" you let your eyes cast themselves to the floor, absolutely hating the thought of being any type of burden to Jungkook. You had always prided yourself in being extremely independent and being responsible for your own behaviour; and tonight was no exception.

Jungkook shook his head at you as he narrowed his eyes, his lips parting ever so slightly to accommodate the disgruntled, yet sympathetic sigh his throat produced. "Did you really just apologise to me for being terrified of someone who did you so wrong, in the worst way imaginable?" his voice was husky and melodic as his words almost made tears form in your eyes. "(Y/N), I could care less about what people think of me in general. Once we talk about this to my parents, they will understand why you acted the way you did. Don't you dare apologise for what he caused you. You're not the one at fault here. Any normal person would have acted in exactly the same fashion as you." He stepped even closer to you. Without even thinking, you reached for him – throwing your arms over his shoulders as you just needed to feel close to him, to feel the warmth of his body on yours and the comforting sensation he always graced you with. Immediately, Jungkook wrapped his arms around you – cradling the back of your head with his right hand as his lips found your neck above the collar of his sweatshirt you were wearing.

"You trust me – don't you?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Of course I do. I trust you with all my heart. I feel…I feel safe when I'm with you." you replied without hesitation, hearing your heartbeat getting louder in your chest as the only other sound that occupied the room was the ticking of Jungkook's wall-clock.

"I love you, (Y/N). I am in love with you. And I will love you every single day…no matter what happens. I hope you know that. And I hope you will always remember that – no matter what" he murmured on to the skin just below your ear.

"…didn't Taehyung say something similar before the ball? Something about 'no matter what happens…'" you couldn't help but briefly recall the words that didn't quite make sense when Taehyung said that the greatest gift you could ever give him would be to love Jungkook – no matter what. "It's probably just a coincidence – it's a common phrase after all" you concluded silently.

"I know you do. And you know that I love you too" you came face to face with him before you pressed your lips to his – bestowing your sweet kisses he adored with infinite wonder as he kissed you back gently, yet with so much emotion in his movements. "You once told me, (Y/N), that love is the most powerful thing" Jungkook thought back to when he first introduced you to Taehyung; after telling you that Taehyung's parents disapproved of his sexuality. "If that's true (Y/N) – then I wish right here and now that your love for me won't waver when the truth is revealed to you. Please…I beg you" his kisses only became deeper with each beat of your heart as he wished with all of his.

You began to cry – mostly due to seeing the faces of your parents and your brother flash through your mind. But a part of you was crying because you had finally found someone who understood you, who just really got you and who didn't belittle your feelings or emotions in any way possible. Although you didn't really have much; you loved Jungkook with everything you owned – and it was in this moment especially that you were unquestionably beholden to him.

Jungkook leaned back upon feeling the dampness of your tears spread to his cheeks, before he tenderly began wiping them away from your face with the soft pads of his thumbs.

"Everything will be okay. You're safe, and we'll figure this out together" he held out his left hand to take your right. "Shall we go downstairs? I'm sure Taehyung and Jimin want to see you and make sure you're okay now" he added, knowing that both Vampires had since turned on the coffee machine in the kitchen from the smell of fresh coffee beans he was able to detect just a few moments ago.

You took his hand as you nodded and began padding the soles of your bare feet along the wooden floor as Jungkook led you in the direction of his bedroom door. "You're all so good to me…" you muttered under your breath with a small smile – thinking that Jungkook wasn't able to hear you; but as usual – he heard everything you said.

"Now – when (Y/N) comes in…don't mention anything about what Yoongi did to you – for now. Just tell her that you and I came back to the Manor with them because we were concerned for her; alright my love? We must wait until the Queen arrives to let her gauge the situation" Taehyung spoke to Jimin as the two Vampires began pouring coffee for four as they sensed both you and Jungkook descending the stairs to join them both in the kitchen.

"I won't" Jimin spoke quietly as he stirred an extra spoon of sugar into your coffee – knowing that you'd benefit from the additional sweetness post passing out. "What Yoongi did to me was awful…but I can't imagine what it would be like to have the people I love the most…taken away from me in the blink of an eye…" Jimin's small voice dipped in sorrow as he imagined how terrible it must have been for you – trying to pick up the pieces in the aftermath of Yoongi's destruction without knowing anything about the truth. Jimin thought about how he could possibly live his new-found immortal life without Taehyung if anything were to happen to him; and it terrified him. Moreover, he felt the same way about you, as you had completely stolen his heart in the most platonic way possible; especially since taking him out of the hell that was natum lamia and ridding him of his constant moral struggling and pain.

"Hello buttercup – how are you feeling now, hmm?" Taehyung spoke upon seeing you enter the room; hand-in-hand beside Jungkook with a sad, sorry look on your face. You smiled a little sheepishly at him, nodding your head as you opened your mouth to speak – but before you could, Jimin was over to you faster than a bullet being shot out of a gun. You were almost taken aback by the way he suddenly threw his embrace around you – gifting you with a warm, endearing hug as he held you close to him.

"I'm so glad you're okay (Y/N) – you really had us all worried" his usual gentle tone gave you a sense of solace as you gave him a tight squeeze in return.

"Oh Jimin…I'm sorry for making you worry. I'm fine now, especially with you all here for me" you replied, leaning back before ruffling his hair and seeing his delightful eye-smile that would have been enough to melt even the iciest of hearts. However, everyone in the room – including you, knew that you were certainly not fine. "I'm…I'm going to have to tell everyone what happened. I'm going to have to finally tell the truth to someone other than Jungkook about my parents…." the thought made you feel both crestfallen and slightly uncomfortable.

In a matter of moments, you all sat around Jungkook's large dining table at the back end of his kitchen – the old oak giving a real authentic, rustic feel that added to the Manor's charm that essentially seemed frozen in time. Hardly anyone spoke – for no one really knew what was appropriate to say.

Just then, all of you heard a rather loud meow coming from the hallway – before Mugsy trotted into the kitchen to join you all. You widened your eyes as he came straight to you – rubbing his head against your leg and weaving between the legs of the wooden chair you sat upon, before he decided to jump up on Taehyung's lap who was in the chair next to you.

"Oh my! Aren't we friendly?" Taehyung gasped, producing a slight giggle as he sat his coffee cup down on the coaster before placing his large hands over Mugsy and began daintily stroking his ears, all while Mugsy began purring like there was no tomorrow. All of you smiled at the sight, while you couldn't help but think to yourself "It seems Mugsy has become more tender-hearted since coming to Jungkook's Manor…that little shit" you smiled.

"You know, I must say…it's been quite a few years since I had a little pussy in my lap!"

You, Jungkook and Jimin began roaring in laughter at Taehyung's statement – his voice ever so serious as it mixed with his flamboyant tone. For the first time since coming back to the Manor, you completely forgot about what troubled you so – and you almost cried from the fit of laughing that Taehyung had reduced you to.

"What?! It's true!" Taehyung exclaimed, before turning to you all and giving a sly wink in recognition of his intentional, comedic innuendo.

"Oh – really?" Jimin began, folding his arms as he raised his left eyebrow and crossed his legs at the other side of the table. "And, how many years has it been since you experienced these fond memories of having pussy in your lap; and stroking it so delicately?!" Jimin added playful jealous fuel to the fire as you almost doubled over from your own cackling.

"Oh come now, cousin" Jungkook held back his roaring as he attempted to clear his throat. "Serious question though, when was the last time you submitted to a 'little pussy' as you so called it? Before you saw the light and all that"

You let your mouth hang wide open as you looked to Jungkook – feeling your cheeks go a little pink at hearing him say the word you had only ever heard him use in the bedroom with you when he was growling it in your ear. You then chuckled once more, observing all three of them engaging in mild 'guy talk' that had you shaking your head in shameless disbelief.

"Well, if you must know; one of my clients who used to frequent the boutique used to bring her little ginger cat with her every time she came. Must have been around…hmm, I'd say a good seven years ago!" he chuckled impishly as Jimin and Jungkook knew what he was truly getting at. Taehyung had finally accepted his feelings towards men when he first met Jimin seven years ago – but before that, he had lived almost seven hundred years trying to convince himself that he was heterosexual; all due to the pressure his parents put on him in order for him to find a wife and procreate.

"Taehyung oh my god" you continued laughing at his blatant attempt to turn his sexual innuendo back into the true meaning of 'pussy cat.'

"It's not my fault I'm surrounded by a pack of dirty-minded heathens! Honestly…get yourselves out of the gutter" he pleaded pure doe-eyed innocence as Jimin bit his lip rather coyly in response. Jimin knew of Taehyung's past with female Vampires – always trying to 'fall in love' with them for the sake of his parents; and he was more than accepting of his past. Jimin's parent's lived out of the country and he had little to no contact with them – but they had always been accepting of him being gay from the day and hour he told them. However, he thought it best to leave out the fact that their gay son had since been engaging in an intensely romantic relationship with a gay Vampire for the past seven years; along with the fact that he too, was now a Vampire as well.

As you all continued to let the light-hearted, playful chatter flow in the room – all three Vampires could sense Jungkook's parents fast approaching the Manor. They knew that in a few moments, you would be able to hear the sound of the helicopter for yourself…but they wished to let you soak up what could be the last few moments of happiness you shared with them; for Jungkook's sake, as well as yours.

"I know how she's going to feel. She'll feel lied to – scared, betrayed almost. But I know that she loves Jungkook in the same way I love Taehyung. And nothing can destroy that" Jimin smiled at you.

"I fear she may end up never wanting anything to do with me again…once she finds out that my own brother caused her parents demise" Taehyung placed his hand on your shoulder as the conversation continued in the room.

Jungkook watched your face drop from a blithesome smile to a faint look of confusion as you heard what you thought was the sound of a helicopter flying almost above the Manor. You turned to face Jungkook – the expression on your features requiring no words to be uttered as Jungkook spoke up.

"That will be my parents in the company's helicopter. They probably took it to get here as quick as possible" his lips pressed themselves into a thin line as he placed his hand on your thigh – giving you a reassuring squeeze to let you know that everything was okay. You let out a grave sigh, knowing that in a few moments, Serrena and Jeonju would come in through the front doors of Jungkook's Manor expecting some kind of explanation; an explanation that was both painful and difficult for you to deliver. Jungkook could tell that by now – the helicopter had since landed on his own helipad at the back of his estate, and it wouldn't take long for them to reach the front doors before joining you all in the kitchen. From what he could sense, he could tell that it wasn't only his parents that were making their way up the back gravel of the Manor grounds to rendezvous around the front – as his sisters and their husbands were accompanying them as well.

Worry began to settle itself in your stomach – swirling with anxiety, fear and plain unease as you came up with a million different scenarios in your head of how his parents might react to your story filled with woe and regret; not to mention your brother's story of 'Dracula'. "Will they think I'm crazy? Will they even do anything to help?" you chafed inwardly to yourself as you gripped the sides of your chair. In an instant, Jungkook removed his hand which had previously been on your thigh to place it over your knuckles that were closest to him – noticing that they had turned almost pure white due to the intensity of your grip.

"Everything will be okay (Y/N) – you can trust my family. All they want to do is help you, I promise" he whispered, offering you the smile you loved so much about him that always seemed to instantly pacify you no matter how tempestuous the seas in your mind were. You didn't know what to say – you didn't even know if you could reply to him in any way, other than to offer him a nod to acknowledge you heard his words of reassurance.

Within a few seconds, you heard the door of the Manor being opened, and no sooner had you raised your head to greet Serrena, you saw her, Jeonju, Hyeja, Chaewon and their two husbands all beginning to file into the kitchen after closing the doors behind them all. "Great…a full audience" you inwardly groaned at the thought of having to open up to them all. However, you were pleasantly surprised by Serrena who darted over to you with open arms, drawing you into her motherly embrace as she leaned down to greet you.

"My sweet girl – are you alright? Do you feel okay? I was so worried for you…" her voice in your ear was as soft as a bed of roses.

"Y-yeah..I'm okay" you stuttered back into the crook of her neck, wondering why on earth she was so overly concerned for you when essentially, she had only just met you a mere few hours ago. "I'm really sorry for worrying everyone, it wasn't my intention" you said with the greatest form of sincerity.

"Hush now – don't apologise, little lamb" she stood up and offered you her opulent smile, before looking over to Jimin and Taehyung – flashing them knowing eyes to question if Jimin was okay, to which he nodded his head quickly in turn. By this stage, the rest of Jungkook's family had since pulled up an adequate amount of chairs; leaving all ten of you littered around the table with Jungkook and Serrena on either side of you. Jimin took it upon himself to brew some fresh coffee for everyone, as he knew it would probably be a long night. Although Vampires didn't feel the effects of coffee in their systems, it was common to become partial to something once one drank it for long enough. Coffee to a Vampire was more of a pleasant taste, rather than using it to keep oneself awake – such as a human would do.

"Right then…I think everyone knows that we have a lot to discuss" Serrena swallowed back any hesitance that formed its way in her throat as Jimin sat back down at the table after placing everyone's freshly filled cup beside them; his eyes and ears wide open and ready to hear what Serrena had to say.

As Jungkook sat beside you while everyone watched Serrena gather her words, all that he could think about was the damning thought of not having you in his life any more. Before he met you, he had no idea what it was like to love. He had no idea what it felt like to miss someone when they weren't around; and he certainly had no idea of the fear that came with the notion of one day…losing that person who he had developed such ardent, amorous feelings for. It just so happened, that person for Jungkook, was you. As he continued to hold your shaking hand underneath the table – he performed his own silent soliloquy to himself; lamenting in his own thoughts as he never took his eyes off your scared, confused features.

"Although I am a creature whose heart cannot naturally beat without consuming blood…I cannot think of any other reason why I would want it to beat in the first place; except for her. She is a human, and I; a Vampire. But I have fallen so dreadfully in love with her – a love so powerful and cataclysmic that I wasn't sure what it was when it first manifested itself within me. She's an enigma – a strange, powerful…beautiful force of mysterious nature. For the first time in my eternal life, I am utterly terrified of having someone leave me for something I can't control; yet I wouldn't blame her for doing so. Will she disfavour me once she finds out that I am the same as the one who took her parents? Will she run so far away from me that I won't be able to ever sense her closeness ever again?

(Y/N)…I am begging you with all that I was, all that I am, and all I will ever be…

…please, don't be frightened of me. Please; don't leave me alone in this world."
