When you thought about the type of home Jungkook would live in, you always expected it to be typically modern; minimalistic mixed with a flavour of avant-garde like most of the people you had worked for in the past. However, you were surely taken aback the moment you stepped foot into his house to be met by the most beautiful wooden, antique stairwell to your right that led to the 2nd floor of his manor – the walls adorned with what you assumed to be family portrait paintings as they all contained a man, a woman and 3 children by their side. You noted how they all seemed to be from in and around the 18th century with the style of portrait – from the little you remembered about studying art history in school, as you began wondering if Jungkook possibly came from a long line of well-off nobles from back in the day.
"Can I take your coat?"
Jungkook took you right out of your thoughts as you turned around to him, finally being able to make out his face a little better from the dim lights that hung from the walls. As you smiled at him warmly, you noted his choice of clothes for home life – realising that they weren't that far off from what he wore at work. Black dress-pants and a white shirt; except this was the first time you had ever seen Jungkook without wearing one of his designer ties. His top two buttons that were usually pinned in the right place were undone, slightly exposing the beginnings of his delicate collarbone that you hadn't ever been able to steal a glance of. His shirt had now become slightly wrinkled and un-tucked from the waistband of his pants from what you thought was due to lounging around at home; giving him an air of casualness that stirred something from within you. "Oh, sure – thank you, Sir" you replied as you went to remove your coat from your shoulders, but not before Jungkook got his hands on it first.
"Oh" you let out – more of a squeak than a proper word as Jungkook tilted his head to the side, stepping his body very close to yours while sliding your beautiful white coat off your shoulders and down your arms – revealing to him your white button up shirt and pencil skirt that you had been wearing in his presence all day. As he lingered, taking in your smaller frame and doe-eyes looking up at him, you finally got to look into his face properly – noticing something…slightly different about his disposition. It was strange that he had even come so close to you to begin with, but something about the way he looked at you sent warning and excitement coursing through your veins that made your heart beat skip in delight. You weren't the type to usually swoon over the closeness of another human being, but Jungkook's eyes seemed darker, more alluring than usual – a sultry smile lying on his soft, pink lips that was almost intoxicating to witness. "Pull yourself together (Y/N)…he's your boss. Stop that, now" you scolded yourself as you took a step backwards, hearing Jungkook let a small chuckle out of his nose as he turned to hang your coat up on a small stand that stood waiting beside the entrance doors.
"Shall we make our way into the lounge? I just brewed some fresh coffee; I'll bring in a cup for you. Do you take sugar, (Y/N)? Milk?" Jungkook gestured towards the open planned room to his left as you followed his hand with your eyes, seeing a grand living area with the biggest open-cast fireplace you'd ever seen in your entire life – a beautiful suite sitting just in front of the large panelled window, along with other bespoke pieces of furniture that you had only ever witnessed in period dramas.
"2 sugars and a drop of milk. Thank you, Sir" you spoke with your gaze still on the open fireplace, walking into the room as if you were being pulled by a magnetic force towards the brightly coloured flames – completely in awe at the grandeur of what seemed to be a manor frozen in time from one of the most aesthetically pleasing periods of history. You didn't even notice that by now, Jungkook had made his way into his kitchen, closing the door gently behind him as he got to work on pouring out your coffee – and one for him too. Vampires didn't need to consume the things that kept humans alive, such as food and water – but unlike many of the cult stories that were spoken of, Vampires were nothing like what humans assumed them to be; other than the fact they drink blood. Vampires could eat 'normal' food if they so wished, but it wasn't a damning necessity like that of the ones that were bound to human souls. Nor did they have no reflection, nor did they combust in the sunlight – that was just something that humans made up all on their own. It often made Jungkook a mixture of feeling amused and misunderstood by the beings he wished to share the world with when he read about the tragic love stories and the gruesome horror tales about his 'kind'. He knew that these days, people were mistakenly under the illusion that a creature such as a Vampire that possessed no beating heart or soul was nothing more than a mere genre of book or film; but that's where Jungkook knew that humans were wrong. For Vampires did have a beating heart – but only when they consumed the blood of other sentient beings. As Jungkook stirred the sugar and milk in your coffee, he blinked softly – thinking about silly things like how he heated his entire manor when he didn't need to feel heat or warmth, but part of him yearned to feel the same sensations as humans felt. He had never known warmth, he had never known the bitter cold – he had never known love or hate for that matter either. The only thing close to any type of emotion that Jungkook had ever truly felt was hunger; and that was the only thing circling his mind right then and there. Thoughts of ripping your shirt clean off you, pulling your head to the side and sinking his teeth into your jugular while his hands roamed over your soft skin burned his curiosity with more intensity than the heat of a thousand suns.
When Jungkook returned, he found you sitting comfortably on his suite – studying your surroundings as if his home were a fine piece of art that you never had the pleasure of viewing before. As he lingered in the doorway with the tray holding the two coffee cups, he could clearly sense your steady heart beat; now having calmed down significantly. It took every ounce of restraint that Jungkook had built up over the past 4 centuries to hold back from going in for the kill and the pleasure of taking you for himself as he cleared his throat to announce his presence; his thoughts drunk with the notion of not planning to let you leave alive, but still – he held back.
"Thank you so much, Sir" you smiled to him as he sat the tray down on the table, bowing his head slightly to you as he watched you cradle the cup in between your fingers, breathing in the scent of the coffee and sighing in relief at its aroma. "Usually I'm the one making your coffee, so I'm really grateful and…excited to taste yours" you said playfully, taking a sip to find out that Jungkook had just made you the best damn coffee you'd ever tasted in your life – but you weren't about to shower him with flattery. Spending all your waking hours with him for the past 8 months taught you that Jungkook never sat well with copious amounts of compliments; in fact, he always referred to his business partners' flattery as, and you would quote 'horse-shit'.
"It seems the taste pleases you, (Y/N). I assume you knew how to find me from my driver's license?" he quickly changed the topic of taste and pleasure by lifting his wallet from the table, still being able to smell your scent on the leather as he slipped it into his pocket, walking over to the window to gaze out into his courtyard. You swallowed a mouthful of coffee, thinking very carefully about how to answer him. He seemed as if he was in a docile enough mood, but you wanted to take caution nonetheless.
"Ah, yes~ Sir, I'd really like to apologise to you for showing up unannounced. I realise that…" you trailed off, wrecking your head to try and find the most suitable words as Jungkook turned around to stare at the back of your head, letting a small chuckle fall from his lips as he folded his arms.
"(Y/N), we're not in the office right now. Be at ease, you may be frank with me."
You took a sharp breath in, hearing his sultry, relaxed voice as you didn't dare to turn your head around to face him. "Yeah…thank you, Sir" you paused, wishing that you took the opportunity to call him Jungkook – knowing that you would never get another chance once you left his house, "I know that you don't like people prying into your life so I was hesitant to come. But I put myself in your shoes and thought that if I didn't have my purse for a whole weekend, I would be pretty annoyed. It's not my intention to overstep my boundaries and I hope you realise that I just wanted to return something I would consider as important".
Jungkook listened to your every word from behind, almost being able to taste the fear that rose from your aura and infiltrated his house – only further exciting him as he bit his lip harshly, knowing that you were completely unaware of his current perverse thoughts of deflowering you and – for want of better words; having his sinful, wicked way with you. But, he found curiosity growing inside of him.
"You put yourself in my shoes? Huh…not something that huma-…people do these days too often" he stood up slowly, quietly making his way over to you as you sat your cup back down on the tray, not even hearing him approaching you from behind. Jungkook could clearly see the outline of your neck that hid behind your hair, the colour of your skin in the glowing fire driving him insane as he felt his two upper fangs grow in anticipation – ready to hold you down and never let you leave.
"Hmm..you're right. I don't think there are many people these days who can empathise with others. It's funny though, right? As humans, we're meant to consider each other's feelings…we're meant to look out for each other and care for each other. After all, when everything is all said and done, what do we have left?" Jungkook stopped right in his tracks as your words resonated in his mind – almost as if you were talking to the human side of Jungkook that he often found himself so desperately wanting to habituate all of him.
"I'll always try to be a person who puts herself in other peoples' shoes. It's what makes us human, I believe. That's just the type of woman I am" you finally gathered enough courage to turn around to smile at him – but as you did, you were met with Jungkook's face dangerously close to yours – his eyes dark and wild as if he were a feral animal ready to rip you from limb to limb.
"S-sir?" you stuttered, panic filling you from your ankles as you couldn't help but stare right into his eyes – his manic gaze on you that seemed to put you under a spell, unable to tear yourself away from him.
"Are you frightened of me, (Y/N)?" his tone was low, almost animalistic as he raised his hand to your face. His skin was icy, yet there was something comforting about the way his cold hand felt on your hot cheek. Normally, you weren't so scared of Jungkook, but the crazed look in his eye and the terrifying demeanour he was portraying shook you to almost the point of getting up and running for your life – but you weren't the type of person to give into your fears.
"I'm not frightened of you, Sir" you whispered back as his fingertips gently brushed your hair to the side, fully exposing your neck to him as Jungkook was able to clock his eyes on every single one of your veins, knowing exactly ppl where he would have to pierce to give himself full access to your main artery.
"Then…why are you trembling so?" he whispered back to you as he moved his lips just mere millimetres away from yours. You instinctively closed your eyes as you felt your heart pound in your chest – slight beads of sweat appearing on your forehead. You would have been lying to yourself if you had never imagined being intimate with your boss – wondering what it would be like to taste his lips on yours, to feel his hands on your body and witness his soft stare on your features. "Did he let me in because…he imagines those things too?" you thought – before you felt Jungkooks lips press flush against yours.
Jungkook felt a mixture of frenzy and excitement in him as he moulded his mouth against you – trapping you in a passionate kiss as he dominated himself over you in the form of pulling you into him; your bodies not touching fully as the back of the suite sat rigid between you both. Once he felt you kissing him back, he found it hard to compose himself as the feeling of your tongue intertwining with his went straight to his groin, igniting fire inside him that he never knew existed.
"I'm in my boss's house…my cold hearted boss's house…making out with him on his fucking sofa…what are you doing (Y/N)?!" you screamed internally, wanting so desperately to talk yourself into coming to your senses – but he was as irresistible to you as chocolate was to someone on a strict diet as you returned his apparent affections by cupping his cheek with your hand, caressing his deathly chilly skin with the heat of your palm.
Jungkook froze at your touch, widening his eyes as he ceased his advances on you. You opened your eyes to look into his; him now being the obvious one that was terrified as he looked like he had just seen a ghost. He relished in the texture of your skin on his, having never felt a woman touch him so intimately in his entire life. It was as if he were experiencing what he knew humans referred to as 'rebirth'; for your touch awoke something so alien to Jungkook that he pulled back immediately, staring at you and making you feel like you had committed the most deadliest of sins.
You let your mouth hang wide open, looking at his face contorted in disgust as he backed up from you before turning away – his chest rising and falling while he continuously battled against his better judgement. Jungkook wanted nothing more than to tear your apart and satisfy his desire to feed on your sweet blood – but your touch had shaken him to the deepest parts of his core, making him question his entire existence.
"Sir…I…" you whimpered, "Please, I didn't mean to offend you I –"
"Get out"
You blinked at him, tears forming in your eyes as all kinds of thoughts flew through your head. "I shouldn't have kissed him back, I should have told him it was unprofessional…oh god, what am I gonna do? He's gonna fire me, what about my job!?" you stood up to bring yourself more to his level, Jungkook still with his body turned away from you behind the suite.
"Please Sir, I didn't mean to offend you at all. It won't happen again, I can forget about all of this – I just wanted to return your wallet and –"
"I said…GET OUT!" Jungkook turned to you, his face donning the angriest and most terrifying, bone-chilling expression you had ever seen in your entire life time as he bellowed at you – putting his hands on the suite, practically picking it up off the floor before throwing it to the other side of the room. You jumped out of your skin as it hit the wall, crashing into the lamp on the table beside it and causing a picture to fall on the ground; the glass shattering around it as you didn't need to be told again to leave.
"I'm sorry" you said quickly, tears streaming down your face as you turned on your heel and ran in the direction of the exit, not forgetting to grab your coat on the way, before swinging the front doors open and running for your life back towards your car – not knowing what in the hell just happened; but you weren't about to stop and ask questions either.
Jungkook stood almost doubled over, watching you running down his driveway – seeing you bolt through the gates that were still open before jumping into your car. As he heaved through his chest, he saw you reverse your car around, before taking off at the speed of light – leaving nothing but a trail of dust in your wake as he heard the motor fade off into the distance. Jungkook let out a spine-tingling growl, crashing down on to the floor as he tried to exorcise the feeling of your hand on his cheek. Raising his own hand, he placed it harshly on where yours had been, your familiar scent still more than prominent on him and wafting through his house as he took deep breaths.
"What…what have I done…" Jungkook mumbled to himself as all he thought about was the look on your face when he lost his temper. He knew that the only way to get you to leave as quickly as possible was to frighten you – but still, he felt something rather odd. "Is…is this what it's like to feel anger? Frustration….guilt?" he spoke out loud, still sitting on the ground with his hand flush against his cheek. Jungkook knew that if he hadn't of gotten you to leave, he wouldn't have been able to control himself for a second longer. He had let you in with the intention of never letting you go, but something about your touch caused a Vampire to abandon his animalistic desires of taking a nice, juicy piece of prime meat sat right in front of him, and devouring it whole.
"Just…what has she done to me?"
