"Seriously? Did they tell you such a thing? Terrible!" Lisa shook her head while the foreign man in front of her with whom she has been talking for 5 minutes now, facepalmed himself in frustration and regret that he chose to approach her for directions for all she did was seem attentive but didn't seem to understand him and that was the truth as Lisa didn't even recognize what language he was speaking.
It was now night and Lisa had gone out with Shiro early in the afternoon to take pictures for their project, leaving simultaneously with the guys that scattered from Dimitra's gathering which she had attended till the end.
As always Shiro and she had a lot of disagreements and argued like cats and dogs all the way from the apartment building which they left together till everywhere they went after, despite that, however, luckily they had managed to take some good photos for the group project.
Since Shiro had left the car parked somewhere and they had ended up walking all around the city, it was inevitable for Lisa to not get tired and that was the reason why at the end they had split up, she claiming that she will wait at this park while he goes to bring back the car, so they could return home together.
But that happened about an hour ago and Shiro had yet to come back, and now night had fallen and people had flooded the streets, one of them being also that young foreign man who approached her and started talking to her.
"Well, what did you do next?" Lisa asked him while showing a look of absolute attention as if she understood what he was saying.
The man exhaled deeply once or twice, in an attempt to calm himself down, for he sure felt ready to walk away but the girl in front of him just smiled and gave him a friendly gaze that pushed him to try to explain that he was asking for directions one more time.
"Well, what can you do, this is life" Lisa couldn't help but lose her self control for a moment and burst into a fit of laughter for she was well aware that she was driving him crazy but she surely was having fun messing with him a bit.
However a random voice was suddenly heard speaking in a language that Lisa did not understand, but it most likely was the language the foreigner was speaking as the man seemed happy and thanked the other younger man who had basically disturbed her fun.
"He was asking for instructions." The unknown young man turned and said to Lisa with a smile evident on his lips despite the fact that he was trying to suppress it.
"Woah really? It didn't even cross my mind." Lisa answered him sarcastically and turned her back on him, somehow angered since now she didn't have anything to pass her time with.
The young man burst out laughing at her behaviour and Lisa turned to meet his face once again, an eyebrow raised at him as she definitely didn't get what was funny however once her sight fell on him again, she caught herself admiring his smile for it sure made the guy look sweeter.
"You are very funny and you sure have guts. It's been so long since I last laughed this hard " The young man told her as he held his stomach and tried to stop laughing, but recalling Lisa's expressions when talking to that stranger made everything in his head so much more hilarious.
"I don't get it. Since when did I become your entertainment? Am I supposed to be a clown?" Lisa's facial expression fell serious for she surely was taking his behaviour as rude and there was no way she was gonna tolerate that.
"Oh, sorry I did not mean anything by that. I just think it was funny that's all." The young man answered her, now feeling a little embarrassed under Lisa's hostile gaze.
"I'm Nailor. Nice meeting you." He cleared his throat and composed himself right before he extended his hand for a handshake, trying to rectify the situation and show her that he had only friendly intentions.
" I didn't ask for your name, now did I?" Lisa monotonously replied and turned to walk towards the bench -where she was sitting prior to that foreigner came her way,- leaving the young man's hand hanging in the air, before he pulled it and rubbed his neck, embarrassed and nervous.
"Sorry again, I most likely didn't make the best start, however, I have to admit, you are just like Joel describes you Lisa and you look exactly the same as in the pictures too," Nailor exclaimed and Lisa's head turned faster than a bullet upon mentioned her friend.
"How do you know Joel? But most importantly, why does he take me in his mouth with every random dude?" She crossed her arms angrily as she cursed her friend from inside.
"Don't you remember me? I'm his roommate. We met once when you came to pick him up from home. Or better to say... almost met"
"Ah yes! The clumsy one who broke the dishes in the kitchen. You are that voice that cursed after the sound, aren't you?" Lisa stood up excitedly once she recalled the event, as she and Joel had surely gotten a good laugh out of that the whole night of that outing of theirs. Apparently, they were even now for he had given her a good dose of laughter just like she seemed to have done earlier.
"Clumsy?!" Nailor repeated as a smile cracked on his lips, now making her feel slightly embarrassed at the diminutive that escaped her mouth.
"Am I disturbing something?"
At the sound of Shiro's voice, Lisa's eyes left Nailor and fell on the one who had just arrived, having a gloomy facial expression as always.
"Oh, of course not. I'm going since your boyfriend arrived. I'm glad that I meet you. Hope we see each other again." Nailor left his polite greeting with a smile before turning around and walking away, for he found it best to not stay longer, judging from the look the guy -he thought as her boyfriend- gave him.
"Seriously ?! You are unbearable!" Shiro spat his words rather annoyed before he turned around and took off towards his car, which he had gone to pick up from the parking lot after he finished with the pictures.
"Me? You are unbearable, you left me waiting there for more than an hour!." Lisa responded as she followed behind him.
"I was working, you know, not like some others who at the first opportunity that comes their way start flirting with anyone who shows a little interest." Shiro's tone of voice portrayed well his inner frustration over that simple scene he witnessed and misunderstood.
"I have no appetite for your bullshit. I've heard enough for today. Just give me the pictures you settled on and let's finish this." Lisa coldly responded although the desire to curse him was great, however, if she was to succumb to it, they most likely would end up arguing for hours and she was already too exhausted for that.
"Get in!" Shiro ordered her as he unlocked the car.
"I'm not coming with you. Just give me the envelope with the photos." Lisa halted her feet as she was now very angry with him and especially the fact that he had dared to give her an order, thing that had ticked her nerves further.
"Say what? Stop being difficult. I'm tired and I have no time to play games. So get inside the vehicle while I am still asking you nicely." He threatened her as he showed towards the car with his hand while his eyes were pinned at her, giving off a murderous aura.
"This ba- Go to hell! Bye!"
Lisa turned and walked away from him at a fast pace now irritated by his behaviour and ready to physically harm him if she was to stay there any longer.
However her feet came to a halt suddenly and a little scream left her lips upon feeling a sudden lift of her body as Shiro had not hesitated to go to her and carry her over his shoulder, bringing her to the car by force.
"Have you lost your mind! Let go of me!" Lisa shouted but he ignored her and put her in the seat, closing the passenger door to keep her inside.
"You are an idiot, stubborn little witch!!" Shiro exclaimed at her as soon as he got in his seat and pulled his seatbelt.
"Me ?! HA! You're the stubborn one here." Lisa retorted and continued to shake the door handle to open it, even though the vehicle had now taken off.
"Stop making noise!" Shiro rolled his eyes at her as the ticking sound hit him on his nerves.
Lisa stopped for a moment and turned and looked at him and after a brief second, a satanic smile reached her lips.
"LA ~ LA ~ LA ~ LA ~"
She started singing -in a terrible way- and squealing irrelevant words and sounds, just to get on his nerves and basically do exactly the opposite of what he wanted her to do.
"LISA !!" Shiro yelled at her, his grip on the steering wheel tightening as he felt his patience running out.
She just smiled at him and turned on the radio, putting the sound as high as possible and started singing again, accompanying the song that was playing.
The atmosphere inside the vehicle turned into complete chaos in seconds, making Shiro's nerves reach their limit, as he pulled the car to the side of the road for a stop.
He leaned over and looked for something in the back seat as Lisa laughed out loud and continued making as much noise as she could possibly manage, with intensions of breaking his nerves to the point that he throws her out of his car, on his own.
"What are you-" Lisa's words were cut short as a silver sticky tapeworm mumbled her words and covered her mouth.
"Mmm-mmm!"
"You left me no choice!" Shiro looked her dead in the eyes as he proceeded to grab her hands and tie them with tape so that she does not turn on the radio -which he turned off quickly-or make any noise again that could potentially make him want to kill her right then and there.
"Finally. See how nice we can be together if we don't talk." Shiro smiled a bit as he uttered those words then brought the vehicle back to life drove off, comfortably and utterly ignoring the mumbling sounds and the intense look that Lisa was throwing at him.
After a few kilometres, however, his peace and quiet were disturbed as a police car signalled him to pull aside and stop the car, thing that Shiro did thoughtlessly as he had comfortably, forgotten something very important.
"You are above the limit, sir." The policeman spoke to him as soon as he rolled down his window.
"I'm so sorry sir, I did not notice," Shiro admitted but the policeman's gaze seemed to have fallen somewhere else and not him, thing that made Shiro look at his side and instantly realize how Lisa taped and tied up like that on his passenger seat, could be misunderstood.
"Aaah, let me explain. I did not kidnap her. We know each other and we were just joking around. It's that so Lisa, tell the policeman" Shiro looked at Lisa for help but all she could say was " Hmmm! "
"Get out of the car with your hands up." The policeman orders as he pulls his gun out of its holster.
"Shit!" Was all mumbled understand his breath, realizing that he was officially in trouble.
---time skip---
"Call her again" Sophia urged Dimitra who had called Lisa twice so far but she hadn't picked up.
"Did Shiro answer?" Dimitra asked and Sophia just shook her head negatively for she had called him many times too but he hadn't replied either.
"Do you think that anything happened to them? So many car accidents happen every day. They have been out for so long to take those pictures." Dimitra spoke her worrying thoughts for something was definitely going on since Lisa had texted Sophia that they wouldn't take long to return but it's been more than an hour since then and they were still nowhere to be found.
"Please don't think like that. Sit down and get Jamie to see if Shiro went home because they may have been separated and it's only Lisa that hasn't returned" Sophia tried to remain positive as she started looking for Jamie's contact on her cell phone.
"But hadn't you told Shiro to not leave her alone and bring her home safe?"
"They must have fought again, you know how they can get. Lisa is also a big mule when she is stubborn... And Jamie isn't peaking up his phone either. The heck are they all at? Dimitra, there is no other solution. Go up to their apartment and see." Sophia took the phone off her ear as she suggested the only thing left they could do at that moment.
"Why me?" Dimitra's eyes grew wide upon hearing her request but after Sophia gave her a look she exhaled a deep breath and sucked in her complaints while walking towards the door and rushing out of it, down the corridor.
"Does she really want to avoid Jay this much?!" Dimitra thought to herself as she quickly went up the stairs.
Sophia was left in the pressure of time once alone, walking from left to right aimlessly, until her phone went off and broke the silence and the trail of her worrying thoughts.
"Yes? Where the heck are you?!" Sophia responded to the call hurriedly, not even noticing the username that was calling her. She was planning to bombard Lisa with complaints as she has assumed that it was her that called her back after seeing all her missed calls, however, her words got stuck in her mouth as the only thing she heard at the other side of the line was a weak voice that sounded in pain.
"Soph-... help, please. Ah ...Come here ... I... I need you" Sophia's eyes froze upon realizing that the voice talking to her was Jay that seemed in need of help.
"What happened to you? SPEAK! Tell me where you are and I will be there as soon as I can." Her voice trembled a bit as a feeling of desperation and fear overwhelmed her while hearing him sounding so weak and in pain.
"I'm sending you my location. Please do not leave me here."
"I'm coming, I'm telling you I'm coming. Just hold on." Sophia reassured him as she had already taken her bag and coat and was hurriedly putting on her shoes, thinking only about him now and about how she should quickly catch a taxi.
"My God, please do not let anything happen to him. What will I do if something happens to him" She thought to herself as she rushed out the door, her heart sending her towards the one she subconsciously prioritized still.
