Watching the two leave through the shops blood-stained window I can't help but feel the anger bubble forth.
'Who the hell is doing this?'
With what little description Marie was able to give us we can now run down two suspects, males about the same stature. Matching Alice's description at the lab we have a possible face, but name and motive are still out there. I can only hope that these sick fucks don't try anything out of what they've already done.
Walking behind the building I stop some of the men carrying the body and look it over, the same markings as the first two now slashed victims.
But why would they destroy the first two if they were going to be going after a third? The questions make a dull thud hit behind my eyes as a migraine becomes more evident by the second. Waving the two off I walk to the front of the store where Rookie is standing their eyes planted on the direction the girls had just drove off too.
"Come on Rookie. We got to get back."
Whipping her head to look at me her nose has a blossoming dark bruise, that reaches under her eye as she speaks. Wincing with some of her words.
"But we got face's sir? Can't we just look them up now?"
"You watch way too much TV kid. It isn't that easy, so do wish it damn well was." I mumble the last bit rubbing the back of my neck. "But we can scan them through the data base and see if they got any past criminal records. Maybe the faces match something within the county." I finally say, walking over to the car with the kid in tow.
