The black dragon flew away as fast as it came, leaving the people who saw its domineering presence in a state of panic. A few moments after, people in light brown suits start aiding the others and collecting data.
I thought of leaving the collapsed girl in their care, but it seems that they have their hands full with assisting the others. Instead, I went ahead and brought her back to our suite.
I assumed Sean and Sitri are already aware of the situation and would return here immediately, so I wouldn't need to go back and forth just to inform them.
I set the unconscious girl down in my bed and went to the living room to find any medical kit I can use to tend to her wounds. While I was a general officer for the military, we had to learn basic medical knowledge.
Although I've never used it to aid others because I was far from the frontlines, to think it would come in handy in another world.
I found a first aid kit below the table with gauze and ointment, but I have no idea if this wound work on a deep wound. Nevertheless, I brought it with me back to the room.
Just when I was at the door, I felt a powerful aura leak from inside the room. I wondered who could it be since our suite was on the upper floor of the building, so I doubted any intruders.
If that's the case...
Opening the door, I let myself appear friendly to avoid any misunderstanding. "Who are you?" the girl asked. Her leg is still bleeding in my bed, but she disregarded it as she held a sword with her right hand and was expelled a powerful aura.
I raised both my hands to show her that I'm unarmed and kept my aura in check. "You just went limp in the streets whilst watching the giant dragon. I also noticed you were bleeding from your leg, so I brought you here to help with that," I directed my gaze to her bloody wounds.
There were at least six visible injuries that looked like donut holes, almost see-through if not for the blood. The girl also directed her gaze to her wound, and as if late to notice, and started to have a grim expression. "I'm holding back too much," she said in a whisper.
Though I don't know what that meant, I started walking towards her. She must have found it hard to trust me as she turned her attention back to me at lightning speed.
"No need," she said. In the next moment, a ring on her finger started glowing as the bleeding stopped and her see-through wound disappeared as if it was never there, to begin with.
"Quasi-blood attribute," I noted whisperingly, but it seems the girl caught on that as she looked at me with wariness. "Ahh, my bad. I have friends who are also of the same attribute," I excused myself and kept my answer ambiguous.
She stood up slowly and tried to do some stretches with her leg, ignoring me. Although I feel a little hurt, it did look like she was fine now. Well, she was fine for a while.
After a few stretches, her leg started to bleed again as the wounds slowly reappeared once more. She had a look of annoyance on her face, which turned to an expression of giving up as she slumped down on the floor.
"gauze?" I asked, keeping my tone friendly and restrained. She looked at me as if she was pissed, but sighed as she opened her mouth to speak, "food."
As if on cue, her stomach grumbled. Although I don't know the circumstances, it seems that her priority right now is food. However, because of the earlier commotion, I doubt anyone would go back straight to selling food in the market district.
With a leg like that, I don't think I can go with her. What's more, if I leave right now and the others come back, things might get troublesome. I can just call for room service, but they're probably also busy because of the earlier commotion.
"I don't really have food at hand right now, but maybe we can look for some later after things settle down," I said as I turned my gaze to the window. She looked a bit puzzled by my statement, so she headed to the window while limping.
She looked down in the streets to see the panic and disorder the presence of the black dragon caused, and as soon as she did, her expression turned serious.
"You remember now?" I asked. She closed her eyes for a few moments as she breathe in a hefty amount of air before shouting, "Damn it!"
"Please keep it down and try to relax," I said attempting to calm her down. It didn't look like her anger was passing and it seems that she was really mad about something.
As soon as I said that, her fierce gaze went back to me, causing me to shiver slightly. It looks like she has her circumstance, but she should firstly calm herself and think things through.
I let out a sigh before I went back to the living room. She probably wondered why I did, but it would be faster if I just give it to her.
As soon as I came back, I noticed her expression turned from confusion to delight as she eyed the shake I have in my hand. Originally, this was only supposed to be Sitri's order, but I took the opportunity to buy one for everyone.
So giving my share to this girl would be fine. Although she'll probably get a stomach ache later, this would work to cool her head off for now.
I raised the shake with my hand, and like a cat with a laser, she followed it with her gaze, causing stifled laughter from me. "Here, cool yourself off," I said as I handed the drink to her.
It seems she's still wary as she meekly took the drink. It was kind of annoying that she's extending her hand back and forth, so I gave her one final push.
"I'm drinking this if you don't like it," I said, pulling back the drink. As soon as I did, she clicked her tongue and took the shake away from my hand at an astonishing speed, and started swigging it down like ale.
After wiping her mouth with a napkin, she looked at me with suspicion before opening her mouth to speak. "Who are you?" She asks.
"My... you can call me White," I answered in a calm manner, keeping my tone polite and casual. To be honest, I could have just delivered her to the men in brown uniforms so they could tend to her needs.
However, there is this feeling welling inside me telling me not to and that I should take care of her. I've never met this girl before so I don't need to feel obliged to take care of her, but I know for a fact that these feelings are not from me, but from the original White.
"Can I ask for yours?" I added it wouldn't be fair if only she knew me. I could see that she was still hesitating, but she eventually slumped her shoulders and opened her mouth.
"Anna..." She said as she lowered down her cloak. Her long eyelashes and golden eyes still reflected a tinge of annoyance, but her black hair felt reminiscent of Sophia's.
"White!" the door suddenly burst open as Sean with a sword at hand entered. "Sean?" I asked, I turned my gaze to Sean and the others looking ready for a fight, then I shifted my gaze back to Anna who was still expelling a dangerous aura.
"What's this?" Anna asked, her voice low but filled with annoyance. Before this could get worse, I raised my hands to calm both sides.
"Anna, your aura's still leaking out," I informed her then shifted my gaze to the rest and started explaining. I told them that I found her laying down on the street collapsed from the dragon's presence and noticed her wounded leg so I decided to treat her.
I excluded the part that I think she knows something about that black dragon and decided to keep that knowledge locked until further confirmation. The twins eventually calmed down and it seems Sophia was already aware of the situation when she first saw us.
"Then, if you want, we can call on a town doctor," Sitri asked. To which Anna simply declined, saying "It's fine." Sitri let out a sigh and asked Sophia to treat Anna's wounds, but her gaze fell on the drink in Anna's hand before turning to me as if asking me 'what the hell did I just do.'
I could feel my back shiver from her delinquent-like expression but decided to just play it cool by signaling that there's more in the living room. As soon as I did, her expression turned into a proud smug and gave me a thumbs up.
Although the living room comes first before the private rooms, she probably ignored it because of Anna's aura.
After a few moments, we heard someone knock at the door. Sean seems to understand what was going on as he went ahead and opened the door without many words.
The door opened revealing a woman in a light brown suit who then bowed before speaking up. "I greet house Florence of Tor Ymitria," The woman said before straightening her back, "we would like to ask for house Florence's cooperation."
