[Anna's pov]
I woke up in a pleasant room. The soft and comfortable bed felt almost numbing for my overtaxed body, but that isn't the issue.
When I saw Galaxia soaring through the skies, although probably not at full power, still looked extremely imposing.
I already know who's at fault with its awakening, but I'll need power if I want to stop him. If only he didn't have a god of life's artifact, then things would be easier.
As I cursed in my head, I prepared for my departure but noticed that the wounds in my legs have returned to their damaged state. It's only natural since I had to limit my power because of my current human form.
The four rings in my fingers are artifacts bestowed upon us by her majesty. The ring in the pinky is the ring that teleported me away from that guardian apostle.
The ring in my ring finger is a ring that allows us to remove our demonic features and look like humans. The ring in the middle finger is a storage artifact.
Lastly, the ring on my pointer finger is blessed with pure mana from the celestial reality, to survive our trip to the celestial reality which was supposedly our mission.
My leg felt cold and painful as the see-through wounds wouldn't even heal under the restrained attribute. With the pain only growing and blood flowing, I cycled and released more mana to hopefully heal my leg even in this human state.
Fortunately, the wound closed. I have an idea on why it opened up in the first place, but it would really be a pain if I am right.
I took out my sword from my storage ring and tried to injure myself with it. Just as I thought, the wound easily closed. If my conclusion is right, it isn't my magic that is being the problem, but the guardian apostle's attack.
Just as I was thinking that the door suddenly opened, revealing a child who looked unusual. If I base it solely on features, I would have guessed that he's actually a girl, but his mannerisms presented otherwise.
Suspiciously, even though I'm releasing my mana which would, in turn, create a dangerous aura, the boy seems unfazed.
I don't know whether it's ignorance or pride, so I decided to ask a question first. "Who are you?" I asked, stopping my mana circulation and actually warning him with a vicious ferocity in form of my aura.
The boy raised his hands, as if surrendering, then explained to me the situation. Normally, his intention seems like a good one, but he still remained unmoved even with my aura.
Even regular and ignorant children wouldn't be able to do that and would be shaking in their boots, but this child in front of me is irregular so I didn't even bother to erase my aura.
He then pointed at my leg where the wounds have reopened. I'm not holding back too much, am I? I questioned in my head before responding to him, "no need."
I circulated and released mana to heal myself, but kept the mana fluctuations calm. After all, even if this child is prideful or just ignorant, he wouldn't be able to ignore a demon appearing on human and elven grounds.
After fixing my leg, I prepared for my departure, but my leg's wound suddenly reopened, causing me to fall to the ground. I thought it was just the guardian apostle's attack that's the problem, but now that I have room to breathe, it's also that my body is currently weak.
"Gauze?" The child asked in a friendly tone, but it kind of felt mocking. Nevertheless, I decided to decline and say what I actually need right now, "food."
But his next words felt like they pricked my heart. I looked from the window of the room to see the disorder Galaxia left. Normally, Galaxia wouldn't even be able to cause this much disorder since he just awakened.
Furthermore, even if he has a ginormous body, he was flying high above the clouds. To result to this despite that could only mean that he regained his full power.
With that thought in mind, I couldn't help but curse at the situation. If Galaxia is awakened and at full power, then the other divine spirits might have woken up with him.
If that's the case, then even if we succeeded in our mission, it wouldn't matter as anomalies would have entered the stage regardless.
The boy uttered words of comfort, but I'm too frustrated to even think of calming myself down. When I turned my gaze in his direction, he didn't even look scared, but just flinched and sighed before disappearing at the door.
He came back with a red drink in hand, catching my hungry self's attention. Although it looks delicious, I don't know why he's giving it to me. I did request food, but not for a drink.
What? do I have time to chill and drink when there's literally a flying catastrophe roaming the continent? Although those were my honest thoughts, I can't help but lock my sights on the drink.
"I'm drinking this if you don't like it," The boy said provokingly. Although he doesn't look like a bad person, his attitude doesn't fit that of a child at all.
I took the drink from his hands, but something weird happened. As soon as I grabbed hold of the drink and accidentally touched his hand, the ring in my pointer finger started reacting.
Something that shouldn't have happened just happened. A ring containing unimaginable power from another reality reacted to a mere child. With my dumbfounded state, I chugged down the drink to regain my composure.
"Who are you?" I asked. There's no way this is one normal child. If anything, he might even be a god in a human body. With that thought in mind, I kept my guard up.
"My... You can call me White," he responded rather casually. I don't even know if this is a god's ploy or if this kid is just really ignorant that he can even leave me dumbfounded.
"Can I ask for yours?" He then asks. The words of this kid are really confusing, to the point that I just gave up on thinking about what-ifs and gave him my nickname.
Although it's customary for people to give their full names first and their nicknames when they are closer, I decided to just give him my nickname since my name is widely known even in human and elven lands.
After that small exchange, a few people then barged in the room, looking distressed. They probably felt my vicious aura leaking out, but luckily, the boy, White, explained it to them.
To avoid further commotion, I also lowered my aura and just played the victim, displaying my injured leg.
Soon after, the boy with pink hair and White left with someone who came knocking at the door, leaving me alone with the beautiful pink-haired girl who looks about the same age as me and this gorgeous monotonous-sounding lady who began analyzing and cleaning my wounds.
"I'm Sitri, Sitri Bell Florence, it's a pleasure to meet you..."
"Anna. My name is Anna Glassheart," I responded as such. Although 'Glassheart' isn't really my surname, it would be better than exposing my real one.
Sitri simply chuckled before coming in close to observe my wounds. "Those look horrible," she commented as she observed my leg. Fortunately, she's sensible enough to not ask about what happened, so I'm lucky on that.
If she knew I was hunted down by a guardian apostle, she probably would freak out and deliver me to authorities. Not that I'll let that happen. of course.
"You're a quasi-blood attribute, are you not?" Sitri asks. "How did you know?" I asked back. A normal person wouldn't be able to know unless they are also a quasi-blood attribute.
Come to think of it, White also said something about a quasi-blood attribute friend.
She just eyed my wounds curiously while sipping on her chilly drink. "Aight, This might help fix you up," She exclaimed before putting her hand above my leg.
At that moment, the blood flow suddenly stopped and the pain subsided, but the see-through wounds were still there. "This may be harder than I thought," she commented with a sigh, "honestly, that boy brought a hard case."
I assumed that boy was referring to White. "About that boy," I cut in to ask, "he's rather odd isn't he?" I asked frankly but kept my tone casual.
"Are you referring to his features or just him in general?" She asks back. Now that I think about it, his eyes, which have two different colors of silver and purple, somehow resembled that of demons, If only it was of different colors. But that's not what I'm referring to.
"Just him in general," I responded. "I don't really know much either since we've only met him a few days ago, but I do know that he has a mature and perceptive personality," she replied shruggingly, then murmured the last words poutingly.
"Anyways, I asked my brother, Sean, to bring us dinner for later. We can go call for room service, but the place is still in chaos so we can't. For now, just rest and let Sophia take care of you," She said as she laid herself down on the sofa, unbefitting of a noble lady.
It looks like she's telling the truth and barely knows that child either. He seems ignorant, but as Sitri said, he also seemed perceptive. I don't know if he's truly a god in a human body, but with everything going on, I would probably find out soon.
If things are going accordingly to the guild's manual, then I may be able to observe that child and finally answer my curiosities, I thought as I gulped down from my shake.
