Three days after everything that had happened I was in the library on the phone with someone. It was Avery from the other day asking about some of the werewolves in the area he was in and if I knew anything about it. I told him the information and talked for a while. Katt walks in and hears me on the phone so she sits down and waits for me to be done. I get off the phone then turn to her and sit next to her.
"Sorry about that love, the Avery fellow had a few questions to ask me."
"That's alright Daniel. i just came down to see you. It's been a while, you ok?"
"Yes I'm fine my love, why do you ask?"
"Well cause you know, your brother and all."
I simply look down then look back at her again smiling a little. I place my hand and her shoulder and exclaim "My brothers death is tragic yes indeed, but he's in Tir na nog now." She looks at me confused and tilts her head. I chuckle a little. "It's a story our mom used to tell us. It's about a place where you go and be young again, live eternally. Helped us sleep at nights when our father was out hunting. Guess now it's just me and my sister who can share our mom's stories." I look down, a little sad now. I wipe my face a little before Katt pats my back and hugs.
"It will be ok, if you believe that's where he is then he is happy." She holds me tightly before letting go and looking at my eyes, which were a little teary eyed. "Come to bed Daniel, you've been in here for three days now with no contact but Zane. Vix wants to spend some time with you, and so do I."
I nod and look at her smiling. "I guess if that will help me out, then I'll come to the room again. Besides I did promise Vix that we would watch a movie."
Katt just chuckles and we both share a kiss. "That movie better not be those Wolf Fu series."
"Hey those movies are good."
"Sure." We both walk away to join the others, who were downstairs, to sit and relax. Vix runs up to me and we both hug each other. I look at the others and wave. John nods and as I get closer to sit down he pats my back. It was a fun night, watching the movie I promised Vix we would watch and then forgetting that Wolf Fu isn't a child friendly movie. It didn't matter anyways cause Vix was loving it herself. Katt was just shaking her head at the fact we were watching this movie, and to be honest so was everyone but me, Vix, Lucy, and Julian. The movie ends and a few of the members went out on a hunt, something they haven't done in a while. They go out while me, Vix, and Matt stay home. Matt went back to bed while me and Vix were in the living room having a bonding moment.
"Daddy, I have a question?"
"Yes dear?"
"When will I get to go out with mommy and hunt with her?"
"Soon Vix, soon. They still have to teach you everything there is to be a werewolf. Speaking of which I think it's time for us to get a bit of training don't you think?"
"But Daddy, I tired."
"Come on sweetheart, it will be fun I promise."
"Ok" Vix says begrudgingly. We go out to the training area and as I set up the training stuff Vix is shifting to her anthro form. This isn't Vix's first time and something I should have mentioned earlier. Vix, although about to be 14, is still a child like toddler incase you couldn't tell. She's only able to shift when the moon was bright and full, which it is now. Vix is still learning the ropes of shifting on command like the others. I am only responsible for training her on how to survive a hunter attack like previously stated among a few other things. The rest are taken care of by the rest of the pack but mainly Katt. I look at Vix and communicate through her via sign language. Vix isn't able to talk in anthro form, something that is common in half breeds like Vix. Yeah I am not the greatest person when explaining the whole pack. Vix's bloodline is what we call a halfling. Due to the fact her father may or may not have been one himself and that Katt, being a common type, made her this way.
Vix sees my signals and on my mark she starts the training. Dodging simple punches left and right, as if she's a natural but mainly because this is like her third try and already she's used to these tests and knows the movements, she dodges swiftly. I decide to throw in a few surprise punches and to my surprise she dodges them as well, which means either I did these before, someone did these with her, or damn I must be slow. A few minutes go bye and in fact it was me that was slow. I sit down for a moment to catch my breath. Vix sits down and licks my face for a few moments. I chuckles and push her away slightly before hugging her. Soon we can hear the howling of the pack, for it seems they might have gotten some food. Vix tries to chime in but it fails. I chuckle then pat her head to comfort her.
After a while we both return home and the others were either outside or inside. John, Julian, and Lucy were outside eating on what remains of their kill, least in pieces. As I approach the house Katt comes outside and hugs Vix, who by now was back in her human form. I hug the two of them before sharing a kiss with Katt. We all sit down and feast, with mine being cleaned and cooked. We laughed, talked, and shared a few more stories. Mainly John who was talking about the days of when he was a soldier not in Vietnam but in the wars his family was apart of during his younger years.
