[Lianne's POV]
We headed back to the camp to prepare to tell everyone. I want Chase to hear it too. I was lucky that I was thinking that because he was there too. I guess he got over it and came back, the guilt inside me grew as I knew that things are about to bad for him too. Ash along with me sat among everyone else and gathering out breath.
"Everyone. Theres something that me and Ash talked about and that we wanna share. This could be it." I try my best to avoid looking over at Chase but I can already that the look of terror washed over him. "It ties back to what Chase said earlier." That sentence took so much energy and makes my heart drop. He glances at me with the face of terror. "Chase what do you mean...that we would all be safe if Bailey didn't pry into your business?"
"How would you know that Bailey was the one who pried in my business?" Chase spits out toxically. Different reactions stirred around everyone. Candice waves over my attention to point over to Ace and Hayden, who was waving a stack of papers around. I look down and notice I also was holding a stack of papers. I look over to Ash who was deciding whether or not they had also found some notes too. I flash the stack of papers in my hand back at them and walked over to them.
"You went to go look too?!" I knew that she did went to look for notes about Chase also. This would mean that Candice have found the other pieces that connects to what we found. She wasted no time and turned back at Chase. Hayden confirms as he hands the paper over to her. I pick up the hint and turn towards Ash. I start the conversation.
"So me and ash took the opportunity to look around the places where you been to the most, and we found these notes you left lying around." I was hard for me to tell him but this game wouldn't go on if nothing was to happen. His eyes widen even more with fear as he keep mouthing "No. No No No No No"
"There isn't any way that would have to do anything with me!" he snapped back
Ash joins in, "Are you are sure you weren't the one who wrote this?" He flashes the rest of the notes at him. Everyone in front of the notes attempted to squint to skim through it. "You slashed your dad's throat and decided to keep quiet about it." Chase responded with silence, burying his gaze onto him.
"The rest of the notes seems fucked up also. I am assuming that this is the business that you are referring to." Chase continued on before waiting for Candice to speak. She nodded and stood in front of him.
"Bailey was worried about you. Concerned about you. Yet you chose to take it so far as to kill her." She shoves the notes onto Chase's chest. Anger grew in both of their chests as one tried to keep it together. The paper dropped and fell on his feet.
"If Bailey hadn't kept her mouth shut and didn't decided to tell you all about it, she would have been alive!" he hesitated before saying her name for a bit.
"So you do admit it! It even sounds like you wanted her to be alive." Hayden follows along in conversation.
Finn holds Hayden back, pulling him down. Hayden looks over to me for confirmation. I nodded back before continuing on.
Chase clutches his teeth as he he shakes his head in agony. I stumbled back a bit before tensing up again.
"I want to ask you something. Why did you attack me and Finn back at the cave? You have been acting all weird, even if it is how you act normal, something wasn't right."
"Lianne it's okay." I flinched his hand away as I walked closer to Chase. I shiver up inside but it was nothing to me. I didn't want Chase to feel more agitated than he already is now.
I approach him, "Chase... I don't even know what to say or feel to this anymore. You've kept this from us ever since we had that came and we ended up here! I don't even know what happening anymore." I had to stop to catch my breath. I waited long enough for a response. My focus shifted onto Candice and back onto him.
"Why the hell would I tell you? None of your its could ever fix anything! My dad ruined everything for me! It was a mistake writing it out now that Bailey couldn't shut the fuck up about it!" The faint sounds of his teeth clenching together. Everyone grew agitated along with Chase, they murmur something before Ash comes to a conclusion.
"Sorry it has to be this way Chase. He looks over to me and nods twice. He told me earlier that it wouldn't be right to wrap it up on the spot and put an end to Chase in front of him, so we made a signal." I didn't really understand how all of this works, how will I execute him? What would happen if I did? Who knows. I would have to give it a try.
"You're out Chase." I said it like that. His eyes dropped all emotions into a blank state, sort of like a. crazy person. He stopped all of his movements before kneeling down on the ground, screaming. The loud screech startled me along with the others and tried to back up as much s I can. His screams of horror filled the empty cold air. It went on for minutes. Candice started to hold onto Ace. Everyone already backed as car as they can. The muscles started to grow bigger and his screams were turning into growling.
Chase threw me behind as he continued to distance himself from him. Something is already telling me that this was the worst way to die, even for him.
"Hayden! Candice called to him warning him since he was the closest one to Chase, having the wall blocking him from backing up any further. Hayden tried to look around for a place to squish out of but would get cornered. It was no longer Chase.
"Holy fuck! What the hell is that"
"Is that Chase?!"
"Quick someone get something to defend yourself"
We all dispersed around, in search of something to hold in my hand.
It no longer looked like Chase. The terror filled my sight and mind with unusual color patterns as I start to feel drowsy. The beast slowly started to plunge at Hayden, but was abruptly stunned by Ash throwing a log at him. The beast exhaled a huge puff of air. Well that's didn't help much other than provoking the creature. It was finally that the beast selected Candice to pounce onto. Ace had tried his best to shield her that until a matter of seconds Finn steps forward.
There is a loud but not too loud sound of squelching. Finn had stabbed a sharp object into the beast's chest. Large amounts of blood poured out as the monster finished in silence. I attempted to catch my breath but it was hard to, considering what had happened. The whole group stood in silence and watched over with eyes widening in terror. Finn coughed up blood all over the already dead laying corpse of the creature before kneeling down on his knees.
"Finn!!" Ash shouted while he hastily runs towards to support him. It was all in a blink of an eye, from the creature jumping Candice to Finn getting stabbed with the claws. It was all too fast. I run over after Ash to lift him up on my right shoulder. We leaned his back aganist the rock as I took off a piece of my clothing to wrap around his bandages.
