What I saw before me was unbelievable, it felt like a fantasy. My pupils dilated and my breathing quickened further. I could feel my chest clench and my throat dry. I stared in two the eyes of the most beautiful girl I have ever known to exist, the eyes of the girl that I have been longing to see. Her eyes were an abnormal teal colour. Her hair was grey, bordering on white. Her face was delicate, rounded yet sharp where needed. Her features were all adorable.
I placed my hands by her sides while she had her hands on my chest. Her body fit perfectly in my hands. Her eyes were full of concern. I was silent, stunned speechless. My thoughts ran through my head but I had no idea how to express any of them. But I had to say something...
"E-Erianna?" I asked, in absolute disbelief. "Yeah? You don't look fine Hun. You look like you've seen a ghost." She inquired further. Her voice was quiet, near a whisper. She shoved her head into my chest. Her warmth radiated through me as I felt her embrace once more. I almost instantly calmed down. She is really here...
"Well...kinda cuz...I just did." I said while smiling, somewhat absent-mindedly, looking down at her. My happiness was incomprehensible. It has been several minutes now, but I still could not believe my eyes. She looked up at me, puzzled at my reply. Then she frowned and gave me a crisp smack on the chest, right where her head just was. I recoiled in surprise and pain. " Ow..."
"Just cause I'm wearing an all-white dress and I look pale as paper, doesn't mean you get to call me a ghost!" She pouted and turned away from me. Her soft and angelic voice was raised, but she still sounded absolutely adorable.
I thought about what she said and scanned her body. She was wearing an all-white summer dress with her shoulders exposed. There were floral lace patterns on the skirt which reached barely below her knees. I stood there mesmerized at her beauty. Before long, I laughed at how cute she looked. She was still so adorable, despite looking so angry. She faced me once more and broke out laughing as well. A wide smile found itself on her face. She was adorable. She could captivate anyone with her charm and beauty. I could not help but stand there and gawk at her.
Finally, she reached out for my hand. "Come on! We have to go back after nightfall!." She said, her beautiful smile plastered on her face. She dragged me up the nearby hill with excitement. Reaching the summit, I surveyed my surroundings, taking in the beauty of the world around me. It was beautiful. There was no one around but us. Flowers were in full bloom and the grass was luscious and green. The environment was so serene, I did not even stop to think about where in Nox we were.
Erianna caught me staring in awe. She giggled and pushed me down onto the blanket that she set up prior. I was completely caught off guard and I fell, feeling the soft cushion of the grass and blanket under me. I heard her sweet melodious laugh after seeing my shock. I looked up to the angel of my dreams beaming down on me with a wide grin plastered on her face.
Shortly afterwards, she collapsed onto the space beside me, still smiling away. Out of nowhere, she put her hand on my chest and her leg onto my abdomen. She pushed herself up to my face, planting a kiss on my unsuspecting lips. The shock of it all still hasn't sunk in. She giggled once again, seeing me in such a state. She kissed me again, this time I responded with passion. I have been longing for her for years.
She rolled over and stared at the sky. She started talking and giggling. I responded absentmindedly to her, I was too caught up in her beauty. I caught myself staring at her, and she noticed too. When she looked at me and tilted her head, I finally snapped out of my trance.
" S-Sorry... I was just ...Well..." I stammered, unable to express how I felt. I was just so happy to see her, but my scatter-brain made it awkward. She understood perfectly well how I felt. Instead of reprimanding me, she giggled in a voice that was sweet as honey. Pulling me in for another kiss to shut me up. It worked. I'm pretty sure I felt my cheeks heat up in that instant. A smile hung on my lips from shock and elation. She took a finger to trace the scar on the left side of my face, circling my cheeks as well.
After Elune knows how long, the sunset was beginning to set. We both sighed, reluctant to go home. "Well... it isn't all bad I suppose." She started. I looked at her, curious as to what she had to say. "Without the sun, the moon would be powerless, a piece of the sun is always present. They balance each other out. One cannot exist without the other. True balance...in all things. That's what we should strive for." She finished saying her sage advice as she stared at the sky. I chuckled, she always was the studious and sage one.
I was the first to stand, offering my hand to pull her up. She giggled and took my hand as I pulled her to her feet. We both gazed into each other's eyes. To my surprise, the surroundings began to morph. I broke our gaze and looked around.
The grass began to grow taller and it began frow above our legs. The colour quickly changes from a vibrant green to red, yellow and orange. I was suddenly extremely on edge. The grass the blew in the wind has now morphed into a vicious destructive blaze. The sun disappeared from the sky and the moon now hung above it. In fear, my first instinct was to get Erianna out of here.
"Eri!" I called her name, still gripping her hand, but when I faced her, her body began to collapse and hunch backwards. I gasped at the sight and the happiness I once had is now completely dissipated, replaced by fear. I put a hand at her back to support her and knelt on the ground. I turned her face to me and the sight crumpled my heart. Erianna had tears streaking down her face, her beautiful grey hair was a mess and so were her clothes. I was distraught, unsure as to what was happening.
"No...No....NO!" I cried out in pain. I was absolutely crushed, I had just seen her again, and now she is leaving once more. Erianna raised her hand to my face, clearly quivering and struggling. Touching it gently. I could feel her life force fading. She was near motionless, her skin was ice cold. I gripped her hand, tears rolling down my face like a waterfall. My voice was quivering, I let cries of desperation escape my mouth.
"Shhh...Hunter...Hun." she was struggling to speak, I could feel my heart breaking in two. My world was shattering around me.
" Don't leave me...please..." I pleaded, my voice husky and broken from crying in anguish.
"I will always...be with you. The moon...always watches...over its people..." Her words still brought me no comfort. I was still broken and in pieces. I looked up, the moon was glowing extremely brightly. Its glow brightening by the second. I looked down once more to see my beloved dying in my arms.
"Just...promise me...Hunter...vow to me..." She muttered, her breath leaving her.
" Anything Erianna. Anything."
"Elune...Tora...Noxius...Eden...Solar..." She uttered that phrase in an ancient Noxian dialect, heaving her last breath. Her body drooped in my arms and my world was never the same. I let out a cry of pain that sounded like the howling of wolves into the night. The world around me was suddenly engulfed in a bright, silver light.
