"BLANK SPACE!" Melissa said and soon as she did, she and Akagi were inside a parallel world. "The blank space or also called 'Zero Time'."
Blank space is the only place in the universe where there is no factor called "time". The blank space exists in zero time, which means that if you enter the blank space at 8:00 in the morning and spend 5 hours there, when you'll return back, it will still be 8:00 in the morning.
When anyone uses blank space, the time in the real world stops and once the blank space is free, the time continues again.
When Melissa and Akagi entered the blank space, they saw a star spirit boy and his demigod beside him, who was a frail and tall man of about 25 years old.
"Welcome." He said.
Neither Melissa nor Akagi reacted to his greeting.
"I never thought that you'd come here even if we call you at this hour, you really are something... Demigod of Death, Akagi Scheczalier. To be honest, I-"
"You talk too much, it's so annoying. Hurry, finish it." Akagi interrupted and shot Melissa on her head.
"You carry a gun around even while sleeping? Impressive." The boy said and signaled his demigod to shoot him.
"Melissa! Demolish the obstructions and engrave my way! This is an order from your master, the Lord demigod himself!" Akagi shouted and the thin red thread from the wound given by Akagi's gunshot on Melissa wrapped around his wrist. She then got up and took out the axe from her side pocket.
"Zenith! Freeze life to death! This is an order from your master, the Lord Demigod himself!" The man said and the star spirit named Zenith got a pair of gloves wrapped around his skinny hands.
"Huh? Gloves? Really?" Melissa said.
"Are you underestimating me, 'Where there's Lust'?" he said, pulling up his gloves.
"YOU- KNOW ME?" Melissa said.
"Yeah, we always study our enemies before fighting them. Ever heard of strategy?" Zenith said.
"If you think you can win using that, then-"
"Melissa" Akagi interrupted Melissa "Their life energy... is strong, be careful."
"Oh? Thank you Milord, but-" Melissa said as turned towards Zenith" but with your sila, I can never lose!"
Zenith smiled and said, "Are you sure?" Then he slammed both his hands on the ground and the entire surface of the ground froze to form a thin layer of ice.
"Ice power? Good... But, this can't stop Milord's slia- Skorost!!" Melissa said but as she ran towards Zenith, she slipped and fell on the ice.
"...Huh?" Melissa said as she got up painfully "Damn it, I think I broke my hip bone!! But, that means-"
"Yes, you've got it now, Akagi Scheczalier's power- Skorost, gives you an average speed of 30,000m/s or more, which even the eyes cannot catch, and you utilise that to defeat your opponents within fraction of seconds. Your axe has the power of slicing down even diamonds, which is the hardest substance on earth, with just one swing, obviously, if you mix those powers, you'll get a perfect combination of accuracy and speed, won't you?" Zenith said as Melissa and Akagi stared at him in disbelief.
"No way... You literally know everything about us." Melissa said.
"That's the advantage of studying your opponent. At first I thought, there might be absolutely no way to defeat you, but, upon applying certain laws of physics, I came up with this solution... If we reduce the coefficient of friction somehow, you would not be able to run, and bang! There goes your speed factor. How does that sound, 'Where there's Lust'?" Zenith said.
"But... ha! You cannot defeat us just by this stupid trick!" Melissa said.
"No, that's not true either." Zenith said and made a huge Axe of ICE with the help of his gloves! "Here, I'm giving you one little concession, I'm gonna use the same weapon as you, let's see who's better at using it, 'cause obviously you cannot use your Demigod's powers now...It's okay." Zenith said with a smile. "I'll not kill you easily."
Lict got up from sleep as if he had a bad dream. He looked at his hands and found himself trembling.
"What's this?" he said to himself "I'm cold..." Lict said as he rubbed his hands together.
He got up and rushed towards Vierne's room "Milady, open up, I'm...not feeling well!! Please!!!" he shouted.
After a while, Vierne opened the door as she rubbed her eyes and said "What? Do you have any idea what time is it? It's midnight!"
Lict suddenly hugged Vierne and Vierne noticed that he was cold and his body was trembling.
"...Lict? Is everything alright?" Vierne said.
"...A blank space is opened, wanna go?" Lict said.
"..." Vierne looked at the ground with a scared expression.
"I don't feel like fighting right now."
Back in the blank space, Melissa rubbed the blood near her mouth and picked up her axe.
"Is that the best you can do, 'Where there's Lust'?" Zenith said.
"Shut up!" Melissa yelled back.
"This shows how pathetic you are, you cannot do anything without your Demigod's power, seems like the star of lust is not good at anything but sex."
"SHUT UP!!!" Melissa said and swung her axe towards Zenith's axe, he dodged her and slammed the end of his axe on Melissa.
She fell on the ground but stood up again.
"Looks like I'll have to interfere this once." Akagi said but as he moved forward his body suddenly stopped as if he was frozen.
"Huh? Wait- tsk! My body... Can't move, what's this?" Akagi said.
"My sila." Zenith's Demigod said "I'm sorry Akagi Scheczalier, but... you're not allowed to interfere."
"WHAT? SCREW YOU!! Melissa come here!" Akagi shouted.
"Man... I can never get bored playing with you "Melissa," even after 50,000 years, you're just as useless as before." Zenith said and swung his axe on Melissa's stomach. The axe hit her and soon her stomach was dripping blood.
"MELISSA!!" Akagi shouted.
"What? Over already? How weak!" Zenith said.
"NO!" Melissa said as she slowly stood up with the help of her axe. "I CAN- STILL STAND- WHICH MEANS I CAN- STILL FIGHT!! I'LL FIGHT- TILL MY LAST BREATH!!" Melissa said as she finally stood up again.
"IDIOT, DON'T STAND!!!!" Akagi shouted.
Melissa smiled and said "Milord, remember, you once said to me, "Don't stop when you're tired, stop when you're done." I'm not done yet, so, I WILL FIGHT!!!!" Melissa said as she ran towards Zenith and swung her axe high, but before she could hit him, he punched her in her stomach, at the same place where she was wounded earlier.
Blood oozed out of her mouth and her axe slowly slipped from her hands and fell down on the cold ice. And there she fell, with a slow and gentle motion and the ice, with the ground completely turned red due to blood.
Her eyes looked lifeless and she simply stared at Zenith.
Zenith stamped his right leg on her neck and said "Today, in the presence of two Demigods,I 'The Blizzard of Greed' now called Zenith, am going to..."
"STOP!!!!!" Akagi shouted on the verge of tears.
"Break the star of Lust 'Where there's Lust' and demand for a better star in the sky." he said and swung his Axe in the sky for a final blow on her neck and slammed it on her neck!
But suddenly Melissa's body was covered with a golden light and reflected back the axe on Zenith.
Zenith was shocked and jumped a step back " A-A shield?"
Melissa's eyes were filled with life again and as a smile covered her she said "Vivana musica?You are late, idi~ot!" and then she closed her eyes.
Akagi, Zenith and the Zenith's Demigod looked at the light as it seemed to form a wall with patterns that seemed like musical notes.
It was originating from one corner, as all three of them looked at that corner which was emitting the light, they found LICT!
Lict and Vierne stood on a side, while Lict emitted a golden coloured light from his right hand as he placed his left hand on his right hand.
The wall was made by this bright golden light and beautifully decorated by musical notes.
Lict dismissed the light at once and ran towards Melissa and Vierne went near Akagi.
"Melissa! Are you okay?" he said as he placed her head on his lap.
"...Lict." Melissa said as she slowly opened her eyes "I must look terrible right now... sorry, I'm so weak..."
"No! Not at all, you still look your best!! You are the star of Lust after all, right?" Lict said.
"Ha ha ...ouch, it hurts even when I laugh. You know, when someone sees you at your worst situation and still thinks you look your best... That is someone... Worth... Keeping." Melissa said and fainted.
Lict's face showed no expression. He simply picked her up in his arms and took her to Akagi.
"DAMN YOU DON'T IGNORE ME!!!" Zenith shouted as he fired a huge ice ray towards Lict, but the golden shield again appeared in front of Lict and reflected back the ice ray to Zenith; but Zenith quickly dodged it.
"Lict." Vierne said.
"Milady, please wait..." Lict said. His tone sounded like he was pissed off "I'll be back in a moment." and then Lict moved towards Zenith.
"HAH! Finally, are you done ignoring me?" Zenith said.
"I don't usually use my third magic, but you've left me with no choice." Lict said, looking at the frozen ground.
"Third magic? Don't tell me, are you an Elite?!" Zenith said with a shocked expression.
Lict raised his head and his eyes were shining bright blue.
"Be ready peasant, you will witness my anger today." Lict said.
"WAIT!! NO- I DON'T WANNA FIGHT AN ELITE" Zenith said as he took a step back but suddenly he found himself surrounded by the same golden wall. The golden magical wall had formed a huge arena with only Lict and Zenith within it.
"Don't touch that wall if you don't want your body shredded to pieces" Lict said.
"WHAT?" Zenith said.
"Since you're not an elite, I'm giving you a concession, I'll be using only my first stage magic." Lict said as he smiled.
"NO-WAIT!"
"I, THE ELITE STAR OF MUSIC, NOW NAMED LICT, WISH FOR MY THIRD MAGIC! STAGE 1, FORM 1, 1ST SPELL, VIVANA MUSICA!"
