CHAPTER 13
~HUMAN WORLD~
Living in the human world was one thing, Abaddon detested but since he was here and if he did not want to remain banished here for all eternity without his powers, he had no other choice but to do the needful.
Finish his task and head back to the Aisle of Doom.
Quickly he got himself a nice house and began to manage one of his companies in the city. It wasn't too hard to locate where the free-born mages once lived since that place now became desolate.
From there he somehow managed to get a burnt copy of the names of the last freeborn mages, set loose into the world and started his search to hunting them down.
At first, the paper was almost completely ruined but with some demon spell being cast, he recovered what had been lost.
"Hello girls, get ready for some romance time in exchange for your souls."
To him, humans were nothing more than what they were, puny mortals, bestowed with so much love from the ancient one.
Hmm if not for them, they, demons would have enjoyed so much but what have they, nothing but to be beneath them. They had so many privileges they were not even aware of and the love the father gave them… it pained the demons so much.
So, taking the souls of a few of them to actually make his father whole again but nothing but a small task for him and one he would enjoy doing so much.
With one last look at the names, he memorized all 30 of them and their location then walked out of the dilapidated building.
The world did not know that on this day, the angel of the Abyss had been unleashed on them.
"Emma, wait for me. Be prepared."

*Thunderstrike*
BRACKKKAAA!
Gasp!
A pair of innocent hazel green eyes flew open instantly. Her chest rose and fell as her uneven breathing rocked through her. Several beads of sweat decorated her beautiful round face, making it shine in the dark and adding a flare to her smallish look.
It took some time before her breathing calmed down and she looked around her room.
BRACKKKAAA!
Another earth-shattering thunderstorm rocked the heavens, causing her to cringe and clutch onto her blanket in fear. She had never been one who loved thunderstorms as it instilled a kind of fear she did not understand in her.
Quickly she switched on the bedside lamp on her table and rested her head against the pillow. Subconsciously she raised her left arm and placed it on her head. That was when she even took note of the fact that she was sweating profusely.
"Damn it." How much she hated it when this happened but what could she do?
Slowly she began to count sheep in her mind and after a little while, she drifted back into another sleep with her brownish teddy bear by her side.

Hours later, it was already morning. As soon as she opened her eyes, she scurried out of bed.
The first thing she had seen when she woke up was how bright the sun had come out. Simply put, it was way past time for her to still be n bed.
"Bloody hell. How can this be? It is already 7:30. I am going to be late for work. Come on Emma, you need to hurry it up."
Ignoring every other thing, especially the scattered mess her bed was, Emma dashed into the bathroom, pulling and flinging her clothes in the process.
Luckily for her, she had mastered the act of being fast especially on unfortunate days like this. Within thirty minutes she was done dressing up.
She had worn the first blue jean trousers her hands laid on and a green long-sleeved turtle neck top to match and a pair of sneakers.
Not minding anything, she lightly brushed her brown hair, arranging it with her hands and picked her bag, dashing out of the house.
It was like every other day, rushing off to work. She served as a sales representative in a jewellery shop and her boss, wasn't always the coolest with late coming.
She had picked this particular job as she felt it afforded her the opportunity to interact with a lot of ladies and help them choose jewellery that could connect their fated one to them.
This was her own little way of doing good daily aside from some special big projects she did once a month.
Unlike the other normal days, today was different. Usually, once she highlighted from the bus, she crossed the road to the other side and walked about three buildings to her shop.
On this day, Emma looked carefully before crossing and did the usual. However, before she got to the middle of the road…
VROOM!
A car appeared out of nowhere and rushed past her. She was lucky as was he, so she thought, not to have been knocked down by it.
Somehow she quickly stepped back before the car hit her and was saved.
A loud screeching sound was heard as the car came to an abrupt stop. "Bloody hell! What is wrong with you? You almost killed me," Emma yelled even before the driver of the car rolled down.
She was mad and there was nothing no one was going to say to talk her out of it, she thought.
Not bothering to roll down, the driver opened the door and stepped out of it quickly rushing to her aid. She raised her after making sure no harm or dirt whatsoever had come to her only for her eyes to meet with the cause of her problem.
Her jaw dropped as a man dressed in an all-black outfit walked towards her with a bloody black shade to go with.
As stunning as he was, that was not what got her thrilled and transfixed. It was actually his hair that amazed her. Not just long was it but the colour rendered her speechless.
"I am sorry to have been so reckless, please forgive me."
