CHAPTER 17
After spending time thinking about how their weekend was going to be, Emma got up, preparing to go have a bath and select her outfit for the dinner.
She was just a few steps into her room when she heard her doorbell ring.
"Sigh who is it coming to visit today?" She asked herself and turned around to get the door. "I don't have time. I am going to politely tell the person I am hurrying so they can come back later. It is already late. I have barely one hour, thirty minutes to prepare for my dinner date. I, unfortunately, spent like thirty minutes thinking."
She face-palmed herself and shook her head, then went ahead to open the door.
With droopy eyes, she turned her head to face the person at the door but when she saw a young guy smiling at her, Emma blinked multiple times, then her eyes dropped to the package in his hand and read in her mind…
'Love's Fashion. Oh my God!'
"Good evening, ma'am. I am looking for Miss Emma Perkins?"
"Yes, this is she. How may I be of help?"
"Oh, thank goodness then. I am here to deliver these to you. You would need to sign here please." He handed her over the signing book and after she did, he smiled at her. "Thank you ma."
"Welcome. Oh, they are from?"
His lips curved upwards to the side, revealing a side lovely smile. "The sender did not say. All that was asked to pass to you was that he hoped you would radiate tonight," the young guy said with another proud smile on his face.
"Oh…" Emma was speechless as she watched the young guy hand over the package but she had already gone into another thought zone.
"Ma," he called out calmly when he noticed she had paced out. "Miss."
"Enh…uhhh…" She looked at the young man first and then slowly followed the line of his sight and saw that he was holding the package out to her. "Oh my, I am sorry." Quickly she accepted it, mimicking his smile and waited for the next thing.
"Thank you." With that, he left Emma at her doorstep and made his way.
She stood there for about a minute or two, admiring the package until she finally went inside and quickly opened it.
Right before her, was a lovely green handless body fitted shimmering gown and in the other bag as a shoe well packaged in the box.
He bent down and opened it. To her dismay, it was matching black and green heels with silver ankle bracelets to go with it.
This to Emma was just too amazing. As she looked on and picked up the shoes, Emma did not know when she was already full of joy and jumped up and down in happiness.
It was in the process of jumping that she knocked down the box and found a paper inside. "To the love of my life," it said.
By now her face was already red as her blush kept on creeping up her cheeks.
"Awwwnn, he is such a die-hard romantic," Emma voiced out loud.
Quickly she picked up her phone and called him. Unfortunately, he did not answer her call.
'Oh well, perhaps he had gone to dress up. Speaking of which, Emma you should be dressing up too.' She said within her and quickly sent a thank you message to him before proceeding inside to have her bath.
All through her bathing and dressing up process, her smile never dropped. Rather whenever she recalled him and his handsome appearance, she would blush even more and giggle like a small child.
Unknown to her, all of these was watched by Abaddon when he was done dressing up. He was having a nice time dealing with humans again.
If not for his banishment, he would not have had to do these personal things. That was why he had lower demons to do so, the seducing and all.
He was the second in command and ruler of the Aisle of doom. So matters like this were definitely not with him.
He looked up at the calendar in his living room and shook his head. Time was not always going to be there. He still had six months to complete his task and it wasn't like he was planning on waiting for the complete six months to be over first. Nope.
He planned on finishing his task and heading back as soon as possible. Whether he liked it or not, those who hated him were still there and things weren't as simple as they looked.
'Abaddon, you have no time to waste. You still need to ensure your father is safe. Get her soul quickly and move on to the next target.'
He closed his eyes briefly, taking in a deep breath and then stood up to take his leave.
