A few days had passed, and nothing bad had happened to Masayuki and Emiko. At the same time, Tohru's other cousins had recalled the time they had a trip to the Philippines with their mother, Masayuki, Emiko, and Pablo so Pablo would renew his Filipino passport. They remembered how 'terrible' it was, at least for them, like the time they had to be cramped up in a jeepney going to Tagaytay City, where Pablo was born, to meet up with their Filipino relatives. But, for Masayuki and Emiko, it was a best moment of their lives, and that's how they developed their own standards, which was excellent, good, and balanced.
But one afternoon on Wednesday, Shigure received a call from Hatori because Hatori wanted to see Masayuki and Emiko at his home.
"Okay, I'll tell them to go at your place," Shigure happily replied back, before putting the phone down.
He then went to the dining room, and said to Masayuki and Emiko, "Masayuki-kun, Emiko-chan, Hatori-san wants to see you two at his home."
Upon hearing that, Masayuki and Emiko, who were reading books as a hobby, looked at Shigure, and Masayuki responded, "Oh really? He is?"
Luckily, Yuki was passing by when Shigure said to Masayuki and Emiko, and he said to them, "I'll come with you."
Masayuki and Emiko then looked at him, and Masayuki asked back, "Why? What's wrong with Hatori-san?"
"He can erase your memories," Yuki explained in response.
This shocks the pair a lot.
"What? Is that for real?"
Yuki then nodded. "Yes, and I will come with you just in case he would do that to you."
"Is that so?" Masayuki replied back. "Okay, sure. Just in case."
"Yes, just in case."
"Okay, Yuki-senpai," Emiko replied back.
"Don't worry, senpai," Masayuki added. "All of our memories are written in physical notebooks."
"I see. That'll be great."
Then, Shigure said to them, "Okay, Hatori is waiting for you two, so you must go as fast as possible."
"Shut up, Shigure-san!" Yuki responded to this.
Meanwhile, Kyo and Handa are working out upstairs and Tohru is at her part-time job. So, Masayuki, Emiko, and Yuki left the house and went to the main Sohma estate. Upon standing in front of the big, main gate, Masayuki was amazed, asking, "Woah, is that an estate or something?"
"Yes, it was," Yuki answered back.
"The family who owned this might be rich," Emiko responded in semi-concern.
Then, Momiji opened the gate for them and greeted, "Welcome to our Sohma estate."
"Hey, Momiji-kun," Masayuki greeted back. "How are you?"
"I'm fine, Masayuki-kun," Momiji responded. "What are you here for?"
"Momiji-kun, we're here to meet up with Hatori-san," Yuki answered back.
"Is that so?" replied Momiji back.
"Yes," Masayuki responded.
"Okay, come with me," replied Momiji back, before turning around and walk away, causing Masayuki, Emiko, and Yuki to follow where he was going.
Along the way, Masayuki and Emiko are amazed at the architecture of the houses within the estate, with Masayuki commenting, "Wow, those houses are so cool."
"But it's so peaceful here," Emiko added. "Is this empty or something?"
As Momiji responded to Emiko's question, Masayuki started to fantasize about getting a house in the estate if he became a part of the Sohma family.
Then, while Masayuki kept on fantasizing while walking with his sister and friends, Akito looked at them from the distance, having some hidden intentions on him. But, what is it?
Not long after, they arrived at Hatori's house, and Hatori greeted, "Welcome to my home."
But, despite the long walk, neither Masayuki nor Emiko are tired or exhausted, and they are still energetic as before.
"Good afternoon, Hatori-san," Masayuki greeted back. "What are we here for again?"
"Let's have a chat," answered Hatori back. "Come inside."
He then turned around and walked away, prompting Masayuki and his group to take off their shoes and went in.
Shortly thereafter, at Hatori's office, Hatori gave them hot tea to relax, except for Momiji, who doesn't want any.
Receiving the cup, Masayuki responded, "Thanks."
He then took a sip of it as Emiko, Momiji, and Yuki sit on chairs.
After that, Hatori sat down and began their conversation, "Okay, the reason why I wanted you two to come here is that I'm very concerned about you two not keeping the zodiac curse secret."
"But, we'll do anything to keep it as a confidential secret," Masayuki answered as he looks at him.
His anxiety is minimum, but he gradually showed it to Hatori.
"Yes, you can count on us," Emiko added in concern. "We'll do anything.
Then, Yuki jumped into the conversation, "Yes, Hatori-san, you can count on them."
"I see," Hatori replied back. "Well then, you two are living at Shigure's house?"
"No, we're just regular guests," Masayuki responded back as he blinks once. "We lived in an apartment."
"Is that so?" Hatori replied back.
Masayuki then nodded. "Yes." Then in his mind, "Man, good thing my memories of Yuki-senpai, Kyo-senpai, and Shigure-san are written in physical notebooks."
"Okay," Hatori responded. "If you two can be trusted, then I'll let it slide."
"Yes, sir!" Masayuki responded while doing a soldier's salute gesture to him for a few seconds.
"Okay then," Hatori replied. "By the way, do you use a phone?"
"Yes, I do," Masayuki responded as he gets his smartphone from his pants pocket. "You want my phone number?"
Yuki was less anxious than before, assuming that Masayuki and Hatori are now friends, and he let out a slight, positive smile.
"Yes, give it to me for a second," Hatori replied back, before receiving the phone from him.
He then went to his phone contacts to see his phone number, before typing it down in his own phone.
After that, Hatori give back the phone to Masayuki while saying, "Thank you."
Receiving his phone back, Masayuki responded, "You're welcome. Anytime."
"Yes, we'll keep in touch," Hatori replied back.
