The next morning, after waking up and preparing the food for the overnight stay, Masayuki and Emiko are now outside of the apartment complex waiting for Pablo to come pick them up. Masayuki was holding a tote bag containing their food for the trip. Then, Masayuki's phone was ringing. It was Handa, and Masayuki picked it up and answered, "Hey, Handa Sohma, good morning."
"Hey, Masayuki-kun," Handa replied back, "can I ride in your father's car? I can't fit in Hatori's. I heard that your father has a car."
"Sure thing, there's a lot of space in the back, too," Masayuki happily responded.
"Thanks. Just stop by at Shigures-san's house, okay?"
"Okay."
Masayuki and Handa then ended their conversation.
Just then, Pablo came in his car, and he rolled the window down, saying, "Hi, kids, good morning."
Beside him, Tohru's male cousin was sitting while looking at the window, not even giving Masayuki and Emiko a greeting of a good morning.
"Hey, dad, morning," Masayuki responded back positively.
Emiko then greeted in Tagalog.
"Are you ready?" Pablo asked.
"Yes, I had prepared the food and drinks," Masayuki replied back.
"I see. Get in."
Masayuki then opened the car door, and he and Emiko hopped in, before closing the door.
Inside the car, Masayuki asked his father to stop by at Shigure's house.
"Sure, why?" Pablo asked back.
"Our friend Handa Sohma can't fit in our friend's car," Masayuki replied back.
"Okay, where's his house?"
"I'll show the directions to you."
And so, Pablo shifted the gear to Drive and left the apartment complex as Masayuki gave out instructions to him.
Later, at Shigure's house, Tohru, Kyo, and Yuki, alongside Shigure, are hopping in Hatori's car while Handa was waiting for Masayuki's father to arrive in his car. Just as Hatori's car left Shigure's house, Pablo stopped aside, and Handa, upon seeing that, grabbed his lightweight backpack and went downstairs to see if it was Masayuki's father.
Then, Masayuki opened the car door, and said to Handa, "Hop in."
Handa, without any hesitation, did so, and he hopped in, before closing the door.
Inside the car, Pablo greeted, "Hello, Handa-kun, good morning."
"Good morning, Mr. Honda," Handa greeted back. "Thanks for the ride."
"No problem," Pablo replied back. "Today is my day off from work, so I had a lot of time." Then to Masayuki, "Okay, Masa, shall we go to that vacation house?"
Masayuki then nodded. "Yes. Do you have the address?"
"Yes, I got it," Pablo replied back.
He then once again shifted the gear to Drive and left Shigure's house, and towards the vacation house.
Along the way, in the highway, Masayuki, Emiko, and Handa are happily chanting, "We're going on a trip!" They did it multiple times, before ending it with a loud "Yay!"Annoyed by their loudness, Tohru's male cousin said to them, "Will you be quiet? I'm trying to relax here."
While Handa was apologizing to him, Masayuki seriously retorted back, "You're ruining the fun, elder brother."
"Whatever, you're so spoiled."
Then, Pablo, while driving, intervened and responded, "Come on, they're just excited. Remember the trip to the Philippines years ago?"
"Yeah, that was the worst," Tohru's male cousin retorted back. "Why do we have to go there, just to renew your passport? Why you can't be a Japanese citizen?"
"I don't want to," Pablo objected. "That's like getting a premium. I'll rather be a loyal citizen to my home country."
"I can't believe I was so embarrassed," Tohru's male cousin replied back in feeling embarrassed about Pablo, a foreigner, being his stepfather.
To that, Masayuki responded, "Seriously? I had no plans of being a full citizen, you know."
Handa didn't understand why Masayuki, Emiko, and Pablo didn't want to be Japanese citizens. But, he'll find out when the time and place are right.
