A new year came and for Masayuki, Emiko, and Handa, it's a new start for them. This also means that Masayuki and Emiko have to clean their apartment unit. And as Tohru, Kyo, and Yuki went out shopping, Masayuki, Emiko, and Handa are at Masayuki's apartment unit cleaning the unit itself. At the same time, Masayuki and Emiko received a lot of letters and red envelopes containing money, who were sent by his relatives from the Philippines, from Pablo. The money was in Filipino pesos, but Pablo converted most of them into Japanese yen before giving them to Masayuki and Emiko. Inside the unit, Masayuki was cleaning the bathroom, Handa was cleaning the living room/dining room, and Emiko was cleaning her and her brother's bedrooms. The atmosphere inside the unit was very calming.
"Nice apartment unit you have, Masayuki-kun," Handa positively commented.
"Thanks," responded Masayuki back in positivity as he scrubs the toilet bowl. "We got this in such a cheap rent."
"Oh, okay," Handa replied back. He then looked at Emiko from across the room, feeling a little bit of romance within himself. He then zoned out for a couple seconds, before snapping out when Masayuki called his name.
"Are you okay, Handa Sohma?" asked Masayuki in semi-confusion.
"Oh! I'm fine," Handa answered back normally. "Sorry about that."
Later after cleaning, they all gathered at the dining table to have a snack break. Their snacks were chocolate chip cookies, cream-filled biscuits, and hot tea.
