"Price?"
Smirking she looked at me biting her bottom lip. "9,000$"
"What? You're shitting me!"
Shaking her head, her smile never fading. "Good deal?"
"Good? Try amazing!" I heard her give a little bit of a happy squeal as she wrapped her arms around me tightly. Laughing I hugged her back tightly. As we separated and I looked at her shining eyes. "Marry me."
"What?" She gasped, standing frozen in place.
"Marry me." I repeated looking at her. "Today, right now. Marry me Mia."
"Are you serious?" She questioned now shaking.
"Completely." I laughed.
Mia stood there stunned still staring at me like I was crazy. Her hand cupped over her mouth as she stood silently.
"Are you going to answer me?"
"Are you really serious?"
"Yes." I assured her again. "Completely."
I could see her eyes welling with tears as she still stood frozen in place. "Okay." She finally whispered.
"Yes?" I questioned happily.
"Yes." She repeated.
"You'll marry me right now?"
Nodding excitedly she smiled the brightest smile Id ever seen. "But how? Where?"
Courthouse. I chuckled. "May I drive? I don't think that it would be proper to make the bride drive on her wedding day."
"Can you help me pick something out to wear first?"
You look perfect right now. I replied. "I'm not marrying your clothes, I'm marrying you Mia."
"Do we need anything?" She asked.
"Do you have your wallet and keys?"
"Yeah."
"Then there's nothing else that you need. Hop in." I smiled opening the passenger side door for her. As I started to walk around the car, I pulled out my phone and dialed Alex's number.
"This must be good. Isn't this one of your hideaway days with Mia?" He asked while laughing. "So what do you need?"
"I need you and Axel to do to the courthouse, meet me out front in roughly half an hour."
"The courthouse? What did you do that Houtter had to get you out of now?"
"Nothings wrong, just be there with Axel." I laughed hanging up the phone.
Mia and I stood off to the side of the courthouse landing waiting for Alex and Axel. Finally they both bot there. "Well it took you two long enough." I chuckled.
"It's ten in the morning on a Friday, you try finding a decent parking space." Axel quipped.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. I laughed. Relax, I'm just giving you a hard time Axel that's all."
"Are you feeling okay?" Alex asked.
"I feel amazing and in another twenty minutes I'll be even better."
Alex and Axel both looked at each other. "You let him drink the good stuff obviously."
"I'm not drunk Axel."
"Then please explain to us why we are both here." Axel said frustratedly.
Looking at the time on my phone, I looked between Alex and Axel then to Mia smiling like an excited child. "We have an appointment to make in ten minutes, we should get going."
"Okay." Mia smiled nervously, holding tightly to my hand as we walked into the courthouse with Axel and Alex trailing closely behind us.
Cleared Courtroom
Alex's POV
"Looks like we're right on time." Deacon laughed, pushing open the door to the courtroom open to find it completely empty.
"Deacon and Mia I presume?" A woman in her mid-thirties asked as we walked in.
"Yes." Mia cheerfully replied.
"Judge Cross is running just a few moments behind schedule, but rest assured she'll be here within the next few minutes. You may both go ahead and stand up by the judges bench and both of you gentlemen may have a seat at either one of the tables up front there."
Roughly after five minutes past before we saw the judge enter the room, though instead of sitting at her bench, she stood directly in front of Deacon and Mia.
My attention immediately turned to Axel, who was silently laughing while looking forward. "Your brother is either the single craziest bastard in this city or he's the most over the top romantic I've ever met."
"So I'm right? He called us down here because hes fucking getting married? Secretly getting married." I laughed silently with Axel. "Only my fucking brother."
"No, not only your brother, remember she had to agree to this too." He laughed, pointing at Mia, who had her hand in Deacons as she simply kept smiling at him, the same way that he was smiling at her. They look like they couldn't be anymore excited.
"Okay...Ladies and Gentlemen, I was asked to oversee this today as a legal advisor and also as a representative of the courts to provide a legal and binding bond of marriage.
Do both parties standing before me understand what they are about to do?"
"Yes." Deacon smiled.
"Yes." Mia chimed happily.
Some how I couldn't help but smile as I watched them together. "He might be crazy, but he's also crazy for her."
"I think the feeling may be mutual." Axel laughed.
"Is there anyone present here today that can find any objections to why these two young people cannot fulfill their duties to each other? Speak now or forever hold your peace." She stated. "Good, let us proceed.
We have been gathered here to witness as well as celebrate the love that Deacon and Mia have pledged to provide each other for the rest of their lives.
Although these two who stand before me are young, there can be no doubt that when you look at them together there is nothing but love in their eyes and hearts for each other. Just simply standing here with them in this moment you can feel the joy, the love and absolute happiness that they radiate.
Deacon, please take Mia's hand into your own, face Mia and repeat after me."
I watched as Deacon carefully followed the directions that the judge had given him. The while tome he smiled at her without faltering once.
"I Deacon, take you Mia..."
"I Deacon, take you Mia." He repeated slowly.
"As my lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold..."
"As my lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold..." Deacon smiled, while exhaling a deep breath, showing something that I had never seen before from him, he was nervous.
"From this day forward."
"From this day forward."
"Starting today, at this moment and here after continuing I swear to you this solemn vow..."
"Starting today, at this moment and here after continuing I swear to you this solemn vow..." He repeated clearly, still smiling.
"I will love, honor and cherish every moment I spend with you..."
"I will love, honor and cherish every moment I spend with you..."
"I swear to hold you in sickness and in health and to never allow you to go to sleep at night feeling lonely or unheard as long as we both shall live." The judge smiled.
"I swear to hold you in sickness and in health and to never allow you to go to sleep at night feeling lonely or unheard as long as we both shall live." Deacon said coolly while his gaze never let her.
"I never thought that I'd see this day Axel." I whispered.
"Yeah, you aren't the only one". He responded.
"Mia, do you accept Deacons vow? If so answer yes."
"Yes." Mia sniffled.
"Wonderful, now Mia repeat after me." The judge instructed. "I Mia, take you Deacon..."
"I Mia, take you Deacon..." She whispered.
"Speak up just a tad dear." The judge smiled at her. "As my lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold..."
"As my lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold..."
"From this day forward."
"From this day forward." Mia as she simply beamed while looking up at Deacon.
"Starting today, at this moment and here after continuing, I swear to you this solemn vow..."
Taking a large breath, she exhaled it, slowly calming herself in order to be able to continue. "Starting today, at this moment and here after continuing, I swear to you this solemn vow..."
"I will love, honor and cherish every moment I spend with you..."
"I will love, honor and cherish every moment I spend with you..." She repeated slowly, her hand holding tightly to Deacons as she tried to stop her from shaking.
"I swear to hold you in sickness and in health and to never allow you to go to sleep feeling lonely or unheard as long as we both shall live."
"I swear to hold you in sickness and in health and to never allow you to go to sleep feeling lonely or unheard as long as we both shall live." She repeated calmly.
"Deacon, do you accept Mia's vow? If so answer yes."
"Absolutely yes." Deacon laughed loudly.
"At this time I would like to take the pleasure of introducing you to Mr. And Mrs. Deacon Lombardi.
Congratulations to both of you. Mr. Lombardi feel free to kiss the bride."
I heard Axel laugh loudly beside me as Deacon took the opportunity to catch Mia off guard and pull her closely into him as he planted his lips onto hers sealing the vows he had just taken.
"Save that for later!" He called to him.
Deacons POV
"You're mine now." I laughed, pulling away from a very startled Mia. "Name and all."
I watched as Mia's eyes lit up suddenly as she looked back at me, before starting to silently cry.
"Hey, you good?" I asked quietly.
"I have a last name." She quietly cried. "I have a last name."
Opening up one of my arms allowing Alex to slide in with us. "You have a family with us."
Laughing Mia looked between Alex and I, then over to Axel. "Oh god, what did I agree to? Now I have to admit that I know both of you."
The rest of the day Mia, Alex, Axel and myself spent together.
"How did this even happen today?" Axel finally blurted out.
"I showed him the car I bought." Mia laughed.
"I mean yeah, that when it happened." I laughed agreeing with Mia. "But I looked at her and it just came out of my mouth like I had planned it."
Axel just stared at both of us. "So...he what just randomly says lets get married and you hopped on the okay bandwagon?"
"No, not exactly." Mia blushed. "He said it the first time and I'm pretty sure I made him say it like three more times."
Alex looked at me, then at Mia and then back to me. "Deacon, you got married." He blurted out loudly.
"Yeah I did Alex, I kinda thought that you already figured that out at the courthouse." I laughed.
"No, you...you're married. You got married, I didn't think Id ever see the day where my brother ever would get married, let alone to someone who is so..."
"So what?" I questioned.
"So normal." He laughed.
Looking over at Mia who was blushing I couldn't help but to chuckle. "Its okay, you'll have to forgive Alex, he's not exactly used to talking to anyone who may have some common sense."
Axel looked at me with a smirk plastered on his face, a knowing look resting in his eyes.
"What's that look for?" I laughed.
"Where exactly are you two staying tonight?" He asked. "Granted this wasn't exactly planned or anything, but please tell that you're at least going to treat her to a night in a nice place."
"I planned on it, just not sure where that will be yet. You have any recommendations?"
"Not in the least, I've never tied the knot, I wouldn't know the first thing about where to take someone in this situation. You're on your own on this one buddy."
"Where would you like to go?" I asked Mia.
"I don't know, I've never really thought about it honestly. I never thought that this would ever happen so I took the time to think about anything that went along with it."
"How about we just go home and have a couple days in?"
"That sounds good." She laughed.
After Alex and Axel left to start getting things ready for our arrival back, Mia and I decided to go back to her place one more time to get the things that were important to her.
"So what is here that you want?"
"Basically just my clothes, and a couple pictures." She said with a smile. "And I would like to change clothes before we go back to your house."
It didn't take long to get everything packed up and loaded into Mia's car. "I'll pick my car up from the club later, I'm driving you home. But we do have a stop to make before we make it there."
"Okay. And where would that be?" She smiled nervously. "What do you think that everyone is going to think of me when we get there?"
"Everyone is going to love you, just like I do Mia." I tried to assure her. "Do you really think that I'd take you anywhere else before I made sure you and I had our wedding bands?"
As I stopped in front of the house, I took notice to Axel and Alex standing outside smiling. Looking over at Mia who was still sitting with her arms crossed, fidgeting with the new ring on her finger. "I still say that it's more beautiful on you than it was in the case."
"And I still say that it was way more than you should have spent on me." She retorted.
"So, that's the car that got him to propose?" Axel laughed. "I would have too."
While we talked, I noticed the door open as my father stepped out looking between the four of us. I was aware that he would have already been informed of what was going on and who Mia was since that's why I sent these two idiots back ahead of us.
Watching as he approached us quietly, I felt Mia drawing closer to my side the closer that he got.
"Father."
"I was told that you were bringing someone here that would be staying?"
Turning myself and Mia to face him, his breathing faltered slightly as he saw her. "Father, this is Mia, my wife."
"Wife?" He asked in shock.
"Yes, wife." I smiled. "You always were asking about where I was spending all my time away from here, well, this is where I was and who I was with."
"Mia, this is my father."
"Its nice to meet you..." She trailed off, holding up her hand.
"Declan." He responded. "How long have you been seeing her?"
Both of us were quiet as we stood in front of him. "Four months." Mia managed to squeak out.
Laughing he looked between us. "I had only known your mother for a month before we ran off together."
Looking at him as he continued to stare at Mia brought back the memories of how he used to look at my mother. There was never a doubt that they loved each other.
"If you would all excuse us we were planning on spending the next day or so enjoying some time together."
"Time?" Axel laughed. "I think that there's going to be more than spending time together going on."
