Mia's POV
As he led me through the front door, I could feel my hands becoming clammy at the thought of how many people that I would have to meet today.
It didn't take long for attention to be drawn to us, because standing along an archway to the right stood a very pretty blonde who seemed to be eyeing me with daggers. "Who's that?" I whispered to Deacon.
"That's Cassandra, Alex's fiancée. We all call her Cassie." He replied. "Would you like to meet her?"
"She doesn't seem like she likes me already."
Rolling his eye he looked over at Cassie who was still staring at me like she wanted my head on a platter. "Cassie, stop the death looks and come here."
When she stopped in front of us, I tightened my grip on Deacon's hand. "Hi."
"Who is she and why is she here?" Cassie snapped looking at Deacon.
"Cassie stop." He warned. "If you'd care to give me a chance I would be more than happy to introduce you two."
Cassie stood there with her arms crossed looking back and forth between the two of us as. "I'm waiting."
"Cassie, this is Mia, my wife. Mia, this is Cassie, Alex's fiancée."
"Wife? Since when were you even seeing anyone?"
"There's my new sister!" Alex laughed coming up behind us, hugging me in the process.
"Hi, Alex." I laughed.
"So...have you two been properly introduced or is Deacon playing the selfish older brother again?" He laughed motioning to Cassie.
"We were introduced." She snapped.
"Cassie stop it. We should all be celebrating." He laughed.
Deacon's POV
"Alex, would you do me a favor and make sure to tell Rachel that I would like to have our dinner in our room tonight and breakfast tomorrow morning as well. We'll be spending tonight together in private. Unless it is absolutely the most important situation on the earth do not bother us. Alex you and Axel are in charge."
"Okay." He answered with a smile. "Now you two go enjoy what will probably be your only night of peace you'll have until you actually get out of the house."
Mia lightly laughed as she looked up at me.
"You ready?" I asked.
"Yeah. The day has been a little bit eventful, I think I'd like to shower before we eat."
"Yeah, a shower sounds good to me too. " I laughed starting towards the stairs again with Mia close to my side.
"Oh, I need my bag from in the car." Mia giggled and then darted back out into the driveway after her bag. As she came back in my father greeted her at the door.
"Well hello again."
"Hi, I forgot to bring my bag in with me and it has some of my things in it." She whispered.
I heard my father's laugh from where I stood at the foot of the stairs. "Please tell that you at least took the time to buy her a proper ring?"
Walking back over to where they both stood, I took Mia's hand gently and held it up for my father to see. "Of course I did. Granted she wasn't happy with the price of it. She said that I spent too much on it."
"Too much?" He chuckled. "I haven't heard anyone say something like that since you're mother scolded me for buying her a car."
"At least you won that battle. I didn't."
"Well...that's because I just showed up back home with the car, not because she agreed to it."
Mia laughed. "I would've killed you."
"I'm sure you would've." My father laughed, looking at me.
I took the opportunity to lean down placing a gentle kiss on her cheek. "That maybe what you say now, but if you did that how would I have married you."
Blushing Mia hid her face in my chest. "And I think that that is our que to continue on our way to our previous plans. Lets head up to our room Mia."
When we got to the door to our room I opened it smiling. "I know it's pretty much a guys room, but I'm hoping that we can make it our room quickly."
"Oh my god, Deacon this room is amazing! There's even a bathroom in here?"
"Yeah Mia." I chuckled. lightly. "How about this? We have around an hour before anyone will be bringing our food up for us. I'll go in here and run a bath and we can spend most of that time soaking up that time."
Setting her bag down onto the bed, she unzipped it and reached in, pulling something out in her hand. "Can we use this? Since I didn't have anything but a shower in my room I never got to and I always wanted to try it."
"What is it?"
"A bath bomb. You put it in the water of your tub and it fizzes and dissolves and smells amazing."
"And what exactly does this one smell like before I agree to this?"
"Peppermint, just like my bodywash." She blushed.
"I think that I can handle smelling like that for tonight." Laughing as I walked into the bathroom and started the water, setting it to rather hot setting since I learned that her and I have a very important thing in common. We both like our water hot.
After filling the tub I unwrapped the little ball of sand and threw it into the tub. "Mia, it's ready."
While I stripped off my shirt I heard soft footsteps enter the bathroom. "Oh sorry." She gasped as she whipped around covering her eyes.
"Mia, turn around." I chuckled, walking over to her and draping my arms over her shoulders until I could feel the bottom of her shirt. Slowly I started to lift it over her body. "We're going to spend the next hour in here enjoying the privacy while we relax together. Then we're going to come back out here and have dinner together, after which I'm to lay you down on our bed and show you exactly what it meant when I said forever."
An Hour Later
We had barely finished dressing when Dee came waltzing through the door carrying a tray with our meals on it.
"Oh, my dear, I'm sorry. I didn't realize that your company had already arrived."
"Dee, no, no, she's not company. Mia, this Dee, she's been working for my family been working for my family since before I was born. Dee, this is Mia, she'll be staying here from now on."
Dee looked between Mia and I in confusion.
"It came as a surprise to everyone but Alex and Axel, but Mia is my wife, we just got married this morning. Those two idiots were supposed to come back here and inform everyone, but I see that they didn't."
"Married?!" Dee screeched loudly. "Praise the good lord about, dear, I was beginning to think that the boy had interest in other things."
"WHAT?!" I questioned loudly.
"You shush boy." She retorted. "Please tell me that he at least is a gentleman to you since apparently he couldn't tell me about you."
"He's been very kind and caring to me. " Mia smiled. "He even followed me home without my permission the night we met and kissed me in front of my locked door."
"You followed her home!" Dee shrieked as she began wailing me with the small towel she had in her hand. "Who taught you you're manners boy, because I know you didn't learn that behavior from your father or me!"
Laughing Mia grabbed the tray holding our food and walked towards the bed, setting it in front of her.
"Dee, it's not like I did it more than once and I offered to walk her home, she refused and then bolted out."
"After you fired me." Mia interjected.
"You fired her and then followed her home. You're lucky she ever agreed too see you again." She shouted still belting me with the towel.
"That hurts you know!" I called.
"Good!" Dee shouted back.
Laughing loudly Mia tried to cover her mouth, but she had already drew Dee's attention. Taking the opportunity I took the towel from Dee. "Okay you've made your point. I'll give you this back if you don't hit me with it again."
"Fine." She huffed, pulling the towel from my hand, belting me in the head with it one more time before she walked out of the room, shutting the door behind her.
Turning I saw Mia popping a bite of food into her mouth looking at me with innocent eyes.
"You did that on purpose didn't you?"
"Maybe, but it's not like I knew that she was going to beat you with the towel."
"She's chased me around this this house with a wooden spoon before." I laughed.
"By the way I stole your roasted potatoes, green beans and rice, but I gave you my steak and shrimp."
"I'll be sure to let everyone know tomorrow morning before breakfast."
"Thank you."
As we sat and ate together we laughed at each other for little things and then would find something else to laugh at. By the time that we were done eating the sun had started to set and we had made our way out to the balcony that was off of the bedroom.
We both heard the door open as Dee scurried and gathered the tray that she had brough in earlier. "Dee, could you make sure that there is a note left for everyone on the kitchen staff that Mia doesn't eat any meat besides fish and chicken. That way there is no issue with meals."
"Of course." She smiled, before hurrying out of the room again.
Mia's POV
I barely heard the door latch before Deacon turned me around to face him. I gasped as he leaned down pressing his lips against mine. It was like nothing like the first time that he kissed me, this time I could feel the need and the want that poured from him into me.
His hands wrapped around my upper thighs as he picked me up and started to walk towards the bed. He made it seem as though I weighed absolutely nothing at all as he moved with me in his arms. I felt the coolness of the sheets against my skin as he laid me on them, causing a chill to run through me. "Deacon."
"Hmm?" He smiled looking down at me, pulling away from the kiss. "Don't think about it Mia, just let it happen."
"Okay." I agreed as he leaned back down, kissing me again.
