Aubrey glanced at the corner table and found Liam seriously drawing with his sketchbook and pencil. The woman with blonde hair wanted to approach Liam but there was no one to guard the cashier. Thus, she ignored it and chose to open her laptop while waiting for her employees to ask for the bill and give money to pay from cafe visitors.
"Sorry Miss Aubrey, I… I beg of you, can we meet somewhere else right now? I'll send you the location. I feel that you will not be comfortable if you have to talk with me in this place." Aubrey received an incoming message from the man sitting in the corner of her cafe. Liam didn't look at the cashier but the man was getting ready to leave the cafe.
"Sorry miss, I need the bill." Liam came over and smiled giggling like a child asking for something.
"Oh, just a minute." Aubrey immediately made a total and Liam handed over two pieces of cash.
"Keep the change. Thank you." Said Liam. The code of his eyes implied something that he would be waiting for this young lecturer like in the allotted place.
After Liam left the store for a while, Aubrey called her employees.
"Liza… Christin, I have some business to attend to first. You guys take good care of the cafe huh. Don't wait for me! You guys close the cafe and go home when it's time." Aubrey removed the apron clinging to her clothes and hung it in its usual place. Two of his employees saw their boss just walk away and they looked at each other with a shrug.
Aubrey gets to her car and runs towards the location Liam sent her. The man had quickly disappeared from sight. Aubrey did not expect the man to be able to leave so quickly even if it was only a matter of minutes.
The woman with blue eyes arrived at the scene. It turns out, a flower garden that is very wide and in it, there are lots of very beautiful and beautiful spots to be immortalized.
"Hey, you finally came too." Liam who suddenly appeared behind Aubrey made the woman jump backward in surprise.
"You! Can you not startle me?" Aubrey scowled in annoyance as her heart skipped a beat at Liam's sudden appearance.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to startle you." Liam's face looked very guilty and Aubrey couldn't bear to scold him any further.
"That's enough. What do you want to say? Say it quickly!" Aubrey said while looking at Liam who was standing two meters away. The man's stature was very tall.
"The difference in height with me is probably about 30 centimeters," Aubrey mumbled.
"Let's just sit over there." Liam scratched the nape of his neck and smiled while pointing at the long chair near them. Aubrey saw it and went straight to the chair and sat on it.
"Quickly say what you want!" Aubrey said in a low voice. Around them, there were several families enjoying the garden while playing together. Liam pulled something out of his leather jacket pocket. This man is actually handsome, it's just that his childlike and indecisive attitude makes his good looks just disappear.
"Who's this?" Aubrey receives a photo from Liam.
"This… this is the woman who will come with her father and mother to our house. I… I actually have my own house but… I prefer to live with Mommy because of Mommy's condition that she can't be left alone." Liam replied with his face down looking down at the green grass in the garden.
Aubrey looked at Liam with mixed feelings. Liam is truly a filial son. The man loves his mommy very much but won't he also get married and leave his mommy at home? How could he possibly depend on his mommy all the time? Thought Aubrey.
Aubrey saw the woman in the photo. She has long black hair and a very sexy body because she is wearing a fiery red evening dress. Aren't women like this the ideal type of men? Why doesn't Liam want to marry her? Aubrey muttered under her breath.
"She is very beautiful. Why don't you want to marry her?" Aubrey couldn't help but ask.
"She is indeed beautiful but…" Liam didn't continue his words.
"But …"
"But… I don't like her." Liam replied curtly.
"Why?" Aubrey asked again.
"Because… she used to curse mommy," Liam replied with a sudden cold face.
"Cursing… your mommy?" Aubrey didn't understand. The woman with long and blonde hair thought it must be because of a misunderstanding. "Maybe… she didn't think it was your mommy," Aubrey replied trying to draw conclusions from her point of view.
"So, if Mommy is someone else, can she curse someone who is older?" Liam looked Aubrey in the eye. The woman who received a sharp gaze suddenly felt awkward and turned her gaze to the left side. "I'm sorry, my tone is high," Liam replied.
Aubrey still didn't answer anything.
"It's true what Liam said. Talk to older people should not be with a high intonation. Even Aubrey's tone to her stepmother never exceeded hers, no matter how much she hated Patricia. But, she couldn't see only from one side. She must know for herself the nature of the woman in this photo firsthand." Aubrey mumbled.
"What is this girl's name?" Aubrey asked, after a while.
"Ruth... Ruth Wilson." Liam replied.
"Oh what a good name," Aubrey replied again.
"She's the only child in the Wilson family. Her parents were my dad's childhood friends and now they are growing up together in their own family company." Liam's answer made Aubrey nod slightly understanding the storyline that they would present as lovers in the future.
"So you want me to behave in front of her? But, I don't want to go too far." Answered Aubrey again.
"Hehe, as Mommy said, we just need to confess as lovers in front of Ruth and her parents. Sorry for bothering you." Liam said with all his heart.
"It does not matter. I like your mother so I will help you. But, please don't let our status spread to the outside. I don't want to be labeled a girl who easily changes partners in just three months after we started dating." Answered Aubrey.
"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. Only your family and mine know about it. After this, I will compensate you." Liam answered again.
"Compensation? What compensation?" Aubrey didn't understand.
"Whatever you want, I will fulfill it," Liam replied, scratching the nape of his neck. Aubrey narrowed her eyes and began to think of something.
"Anything?"
"Yes, anything." Liam replied with a charming smile.
