Hi am Rita I know this is something not to be told to people but today I kind of ate a lot and vomited on my best friend; Hannah.
"Rita", my mom shouted making me throw my pen and diary on the floor. "Come down stairs right now.", she added and she sounded a bit of angry which made me nervous. "Am coming." I answered while running down stairs. When I reached I found my principle in our living room talking to my mom. I moved to where they were and greeted my principle. "Good evening Miss Jennifer." "Good evening to you too, am just here to talk to your parents about your progress in class." she said which made my heart pump real fast. Well, this really couldn't be happening I know am not that good in class like am sometimes the second last or third last but did it really have to reach up to the principle coming to our home? So, I just remained silent and waited for her to spill out the beans. "Madam Folkwest your daughter isn't the worst in performance but since our school is mostly known for it's great performance, we just couldn't keep her in the school. Her and eight other girls are kindly being requested to join other schools." she said. I just couldn't believe my ears, I was being expelled. My principle stood up and my mom did the same. "I must leave now since I've delivered my message.", she added. My mom escorted her up to the parking yard leaving me thinking of how life in anew school would be like. That's when it came into my mind I was going to join a public mixed school, my dad had told me that if am for ever changing the school I would be going to a public school. There I was just waiting for my mom to come and scold me, but she didn't really do so and just went to her room. I was quite for a moment and later on moved to my room and sat on my messy bed. I picked up my books that were close to me and started throwing them to the ground as tears were just flowing on my chicks. I heard my dad's car and cleaned my tears off. I found him entering the house. "Welcome back daddy." I said "Thank you," he answered and later on looked into my eyes. "Rita, what's the problem?" he asked in a real calm tone which made me break down into tears. " No, no, no, no, don't cry just tell me what's the problem." he added. " I was expelled from school." I told him. "what!! why?", he asked in a really confused tone. "The principle is from here and she said I should go to another school since I can't reach the performance they expect from a child." I told him. "Are you the only who was expelled?" he asked. "No, we are nine girls." I answered him. He sighed. "Darling, don't cry we shall find a perfect school for you. Okay?" he comforted me. I nodded my head and he went to his room I went back to my room and got my phone. I called Hannah and she wasn't answering. So, I left a voice message. " Hi girl, I just wanted to tell you that am really sorry about what happened today and that I have been expelled from school. If you receive this message please call back." I was so tired that I slept, waking up in the morning. I took a shower brushed and dressed. I laid my bed and went out of my room. I went to the dining table and something surprised me a lot. I saw my elder brother; Henry. "Oh My God, Henry your back." I said in a some what way of screaming. "Hi lil' sis." he said. And still I just screamed. Okay at that time I was so happy like seriously I love my brother so much he's like the only real friend in my life, who had gone to college and is now back. I just couldn't believe my eyes. I just moved and sat at the dining table where he asked this; "So, how is the only girls' school?". My smile first disappeared and I didn't answer. "She's moving to a new school." my dad said. "Why? What's wrong with the first one she was in?" Henry asked again. "She was expelled from it." my mom answered. "The principle was here and she said everything so clearly and she was expelled due to bad performance." she added. Henry looked at me with a some what confused face. Maybe it's because before he left for college that was something like two years back I wasn't so that bad and maybe he was wondering exactly what happened. My dad noticed the silence in the room had increased so he brought up something different. " Hey Henry, how was college?" my dad asked. "Yeah by the way how was college?" my mom added. "Great, though am here for just twelve days." he answered. I really knew how important it was for him to go back to school but I would miss him a lot. Now that am going to a mixed school I would really need his help to get used in such an environment since he had been in mixed schools all his life. My dad looked at me and noticed I hadn't eaten anything. "Hey, why aren't you eating your food?" he asked me after a long time of observation. "Um it's nothin' am just not hungry. Actually, let me go and prepare my self for school." I said and left for my room. When I reached my room, I looked at my self in the mirror and thought to myself how my dark skin and braided long dark hair would fit in that mixed school and the new friends I would make. Thinking of friends, I hadn't received anything from Hannah. I checked my phone and I had no missed calls or unread messages from her. So I parked my books and carried my bag out to my dad's car where we had a quite short drive while listening to R&B music. When we reached the school, I noticed the big number of boys and still a big number of girls. We went to the principles office. "You must be mister Folkwest and your daughter Rita Folkwest."she said. " Yeah, that's us. May we come in?" my dad answered. "Yeah come in." she said while gesturing us to sit on the chairs. "My name is Principle Mary." she said when we sat. "Your dad spoke to me yesterday and he said you were in a girls' school." she said looking at me. "Yes I was." I said. "So what happened?" she asked me again. "She wa...." my dad had started. "No, sir am talking to her." she said with a rather more serious tone. " Yes, mam." my dad said. "I was expelled." I answered. "And why were you expelled." she asked me again. "I had a poor performance." I answered her. "You had or you have." she said again which made me afraid of her. "I-I have a poor performance." I answered her. " hmm, lucky for you we can admit you but in the last stream." she told me and I remained silent. "So, if you try to mess up you will also leave this school. Okay?" she said while forcing a smile and later on called a girl to take me to class. "When the girl came in, my dad left and I walked out with the girl. "bye dad." I said. "Bye." he answered. He disappeared into the hallway. "Is Principle Mary tough?" I asked the girl. "Yeah she is." the girl answered. "By The Way am Aura." she said. "Hi Aura, am Rita." I said. "Nice to meet you Rita." she said. "Thanks." I answered her. "What stream are you in?" I asked her. "A" she answered. "Wow it sounds to be the best stream." I said. "Yeah it is." she said. "Lucky for you am in C." I told her. "Yeah C is bad but you can get out of it if you prove to be improving and you can only improve if you are focused." she said. "You make it sound hard." I told her thinking she was just trying to make a joke. "Yeah it is hard really, really hard. Every one in C has never left that stream." she told me. "This is your class. See you at break time." she said. "sure" I answered her and she continued to her stream. I entered the class and found no teacher so I just entered. When I entered some guy shouted; "Man, what the hell have they added to us. Some sort of real innocent crap." he said and every body laughed at his joke. I got really embarrassed now my first impression of boys is that they are mean. I just ignored him and continued to look for a seat. As I was looking for a seat I noticed some guy stare at me. I shrugged and ignored him. "Hey come and sit here." some girl said and I just went and sat though I was a bit of terrified by her dress code. She had this bad girl type of dress code. Like you know: all black.
