"It's not that he is coming to haunt me at night, right?!" Emy chuckled at her silly question pertaining to her late husband; she took a glance on her mother who is already looking at her with a sad smile on her face.
"falling for someone would be the least of my priorities, but then it came to me and God knows how I have tried every single day to avoid it, only to realize that the more I push the feeling away the more I am drawn closer to it, and I-I feel the control is slowly slipping away from my grasp, mom" Emy continued lowering her head while rubbing her hands together worried about her feelings getting out of control.
"Do you feel bad about what you are feeling with that particular someone now?" Mrs. Prim Asked as if helping her daughter to figure out her emotion as well as her own worries towards her daughter, because if this feeling is just adding up difficulty to the torturous memories her daughter is still dealing with until now, then might as well get rid of it.
However, Mrs. Prim had seen some improvements with Emy and it might be because of this new feeling, and if it will make her happy then she wouldn't go against it. Thinking her daughter had suffered so much, this might give her a new perspective in life, a new start, and a new kind of love that will make her feel alive again.
Emy took her time to answer, although she is looking at Amy, her mind is already in deep thought asking herself the same question her mother subtly asked, 'Do I feel bad about it?' Emy thought to herself. Every time that young man confidently comes to her, and boldly shows his feelings towards her with his utterly heartwarming words, it flutters her.
Even when he suddenly pulled her for a kiss that day at the music room, when she shouldn't have let him at the first place, that unexpected kiss itself shocked her but it was insanely irresistible as her body neither pulled away nor protested against his sudden action, and instead it even leads to their first passionate kiss.
Thinking thoroughly, Emy answered having a bit of realization there as she says "No…Not even a bit". Mrs. Prim gently smiled at her response noticing how Emy carefully thought about it before answering, and somehow it helped Emy cleared up her mind.
"So why are you holding it back, dear? What's bothering you so much?" Mrs. Prim asked as she knew there is something more that Emy is not being vocal about.
Emy sighed at her mother's curiosity, her shoulder slightly went down, still not looking at her mother as her gaze is still following Amy, before she speak "now I just wished that he is just a simple person…But it's completely opposite, Mom Because everything about him is complicated"
Mrs. Prim's eyebrows furrowed at Emy's intriguing response as she asks "who is this someone, Emy?" Finally, Emy shifted her gaze to meet her mom's eyes who is waiting for her immediate answer, and then she says "He is one of the Idols from the STAR, Mom…", her voice trailed off seeing her mom's stunned reaction as soon as she mentioned the popular name of the group.
Mrs. Prim was slightly taken aback by Emy's sudden revelation about this special someone they are talking about, it's as if she was surprised one after another without giving her enough time to let it sink in her head first before giving her another blow of shocking news.
"Oh my Dear, what are you getting yourself into?" Mrs. Prim asked her voice worried but with astonishment as she just can't believe of what she is hearing from her daughter until now.
"Actually Mom, I also asked that to myself every day" a deep sigh escaped Emy's lips as she look at her mom with her head turned to where she is sitting.
"How and when did it start between the two of you?" Mrs. Prim's successive question as she leans closer to Emy this time as if they are gossiping someone else's affair, her curiosity is slowly building up with evident of excitement on her face.
Emy on the other hand is lost for words, a lot had happened but when she think thoroughly on how did it started between Saff and her, she also didn't know how. 'Is it on the day of her job interview? Or the day he took her at his favorite place, wherein he wanted to kiss her for the first time? But isn't Saff consistent on declaring clearly of his intentions since the first time she had met him? It's hard to figure out the answer to that question!' Emy exclaimed in her mind.
Her lips slightly pout as she felt annoyed with her mother's quick switch of mood and her intriguing questions, Emy avoided the direct question and instead she answered on the safe side as she says "There is nothing between as yet, mom" she lowered her head to avoid her mom's intriguing gaze towards her.
"Not yet!" Mrs. Prim retorted but her voice still calm in Emy's ears, and then she continue to say "Don't tell me, he is the one that you're handling?! What is his name again? Is it Adam? Taylor? Rain or Saff?" Her mom is now exhilarated with the revelations, she didn't even forget to mention all the member's names and Emy is quite surprised that her mom memorized all their names!
Emy turned her head back looking at her mom and noticed her turned up lips as her unswerving enthusiasm regarding the topic is really showing up on her face, don't forget to mention her eagerness to know who is who among the names that she had mentioned to her.
Now that she had told Mrs. Prim about this particular someone, there is no turning back with her words. All she could just do is to hope with her fingers crossed that this would not be her mother's reaction in front of Saff if she will meet him in the future.
'Wait! What future am I thinking about now?!' Emy is mentally scolding herself.
"It's Saff, mom" Emy leans closer to her mom as she whispered confirming the name.
Mrs. Prim's eyes slightly widen in astonishment upon hearing Emy's answer as she says "Oh dear! That young man is so handsome! Now I know where Amy's preference came from!" and as if understanding Emy's reaction, she continue to say "Yes! Your daughter Amy liked that Saff the most among the other members of the group", Emy slightly tilted her head as her eyebrows raised upon hearing her mom's little trivia about her daughter, Amy.
"Speaking of amy-" Emy suddenly came to realized that she doesn't hear Amy's footsteps anymore or even her small voice while playing not too far from where they are sitting, she quickly turns her head to look for her daughter. Her head looked from left to right, searching for her small figure, which made Mrs. Prim, worried in an instant as she couldn't also see her granddaughter right now.
A sinking feeling of panic came to the both of them, and they immediately stood up from where they are seated a while ago. They started walking fast, almost like running while calling her name around the place. Emy realized that they got so immersed in conversation that they somehow forgot to look after Amy, and now she is gone.
