While Manager Tim can't seem to stop singing, Manager Kate and Emy are left sitting with the table in front of them as they are enjoying the song. Manager Kate initiate a conversation with Emy and she ask "how do you find the working environment at the company so far Manager Emy?" as she smiles at her.
"Oh! It's great! Though the work load is a bit fuller than my previous job, but I find it fun and challenging, besides I have the three of you who makes my work space lighter" Emy said as she smiled back at Manager Kate.
"Good for you then..." Manager Kate says as she now leans on the table with her right arm supporting her head as she look at her left side where Emy is seated. She continue to say "You know I just remember saff before when he still doesn't have a manager, I mean assigned manager for him though Manager Tim handles his schedules for the mean time…he is the quiet type among the boys that I thought he was just shy, I didn't even hear him complain not even once! He just goes with what Manager Tim instructs him to do; he is very obedient like that. There was this one time that Manager Tim was worried because he seemed not that type to be vocal with what's on his mind, no comments, not even suggestions, so Manager Tim thought that Saff doesn't like him or maybe for saff what he says does not make sense at all!" she told Emy with a bit of exaggeration in her tone, incredulous and full of enthusiasm at the same time.
"Is that so? But he would not obey Manager Tim if he thinks he doesn't make sense at all, right?" Emy asked in confusion as Saff is starting to be a mystery for her. If shy is the term then isn't that a complete opposite of his approach on her ever since they met, she thought to herself.
"Yeah! That's what we thought too, we asked Manager Anne once because she used to handle all of them before but she just shrugged it and said he is just a simple boy like that, according to her it's nothing to worry about"
"But you're all good, right? Nothing bad had happened between Manager Tim and Saff?"
"Thank God! It all goes well for the past several years and then you came!"
Emy gets more confused now as Manager Kate just jump to the time that she came, when she was waiting for her to tell about the previous manager that handled Saff. Out of curiosity, Emy asks "how about the previous manager who handled Saff after Manager Tim?"
"Who?" Manager Kate asked as if she didn't heard it right this time
"I'm talking about the manager before me… The one who resigned due to marital priorities? You know…Hmm...The one who recently got married"
Manager Kate is now confused with Emy's question, 'is it the alcohol intoxication now?' She asked in her mind. Her eyebrows furrowed as she leans against the back rest of the couch they are currently sitting on to think.
Manager Kate then asks "is it the beer now Manager Emy? Are we that tipsy?!" she giggles finding Emy's question a bit ridiculous.
"What? What do you mean?" Emy's eyebrows started to furrowed as well, 'is she talking silly now?! Does she find my question to be funny' asking in her mind as seeing the other manager's reaction of not taking her seriously when in truth she was seriously curious about it.
"Manager Emy, are you being serious right now? Where did that came from?" Manager Kate looks at Emy directly as she said it without wearing the smile she had a while ago, then she continues to speak "Saff didn't have any manager other than Manager Anne and Manager Tim before you".
"Wait! What did you just say?" Emy questioned once again as she was finding it hard to believe when all along she had believe with that little story.
Manager Anne enters the room as soon as she is done with the phone call, and Manager Tim invites her to accompany him in a duet song, Manager Anne didn't refuse, and Manager Kate joined them as well, leaving Emy sitting there while her mind can't seem to process the new information she just heard.
Though Manager Kate find Emy's question a bit ridiculous as she wonder where that story came from, she doesn't want to end the night contemplating further so she initiate to join the two managers who are singing.
While the three are having fun singing and dancing into the rhythm, Emy left seated at the couch, though her gaze is pointed towards the three managers, her mind seems to be flying far away from there as she cogitates with what Manager Kate have said.
Emy is still processing what she just found out, but still unable to absorb it as the information is completely different from what she have known.
'Where did that information came from anyway?' she questioned in her mind.
When she heard it from Manager Kate awhile ago, she wanted to ask further but then she was already in a dazed before she could even speak. Seeing how happy the three managers are right now, she might spoil the fun if she insists on this matter and she doesn't want to ruin this night.
Four hours had passed, it's time for them to go home and call it a night. Manager Tim insisted to sent them home, Manager Kate and Manager Anne are now sitting inside his car as they are feeling dizzy to drive, besides they intentionally didn't bring their cars for this night as if expecting they would get drunk and won't be able to drive home.
"Manager Emy let me take you home..." Manager Tim invites Emy to his car as he is now seated at the driver's seat and started the engine looking at Emy through his open car window standing not far from his car.
"Hmm...Thank you but I think I'll just ride a bus since my house is out of the way" Emy said politely as she smiled at Manager Tim.
It's not that she doesn't appreciate his thoughtfulness, but given the fact that she is not familiar with his driving, it just might cause discomfort for her, and she have so many things to think about tonight than to explain to them if ever they get to notice her in panic. Riding a bus is a great option now as it can give her peace of mind at least.
"Are you sure Emy? You know I won't mind the distance now" Manager Tim insisted with worried face,
"Oh I'm sure Emy will be fine!" Manager Anne said as she winked and smiled at Emy who nods at them and waves her hand goodbye.
'Ada!' Emy suddenly thought about interrogating her best friend as she remembered now that the information she used to believe came from her.
As soon as Manager Tim's Car drives away from where she stands, she called Ada through her smart phone. It took three rings before she answered;
"Emy dear is everything alright?" Ada answered from the other line,
"Yeah everything is fine...but we need to talk as soon as possible, where are you?" Emy doesn't want her friend to worry but she badly needed an answer to all her questions now or she will not be sleeping tonight!
"I just got home…why? I thought everything is fine?! What's the hurry? What happened?" Ada was worried now as it is already eleven in the evening and Emy's voice seemed to be a bit agitated.
"Yes! I mean No! Nothing urgent really! But we need to talk Ada… you need to tell me something..."
'Oh! No does Emy know?!' Ada thought to herself as she is now worried thinking Emy had found out what's between her and Harry and she wanted to confirm everything from her. It looks like the table have turned as she is the one who is feeling agitated now!
"Emy...can it wait until tomorrow? I just need to do something important tonight; it's about my designs, really urgent! I'm sorry..." Ada said trying to make up an excuse as she was not yet prepared on how to tell Emy in details, hoping she will believe her excuse now.
"Alright then, tomorrow morning meet me at our usual café" Emy said as she can go to work a bit late in the morning since Saff's schedule will start after lunch time.
"I'll see you there...and Emy...whatever it is please try to understand us..." Ada's voice trailed off.
"Of course, Ada see you then" and they both hang up.
Looks like over thinking will keep her awake tonight until the break of dawn, Emy sighed as she is starting to walk towards the bus stop to go home.
Not too far away from where she walks, she heard a familiar sound of a car engine moving closer and closer to her spot until it slowly reduce the speed and finally came to a full stop right at her spot where she also stopped from walking to turn her head, the car window rolled down and she is surprised to see inside it is none other than the man who's messing up her mind right now.
"Saff?"
