"Okay...what just happened?" Mr. Smith exclaimed when they were both out of air.
Mrs. Smith's hand subconsciously went to her lips as she caressed them slowly, then her cheeks burned strongly as she was now in her realm.
Wanting to look up at her husband dreamily, she realized that they were in public!
'Oh, My God...!' Mrs. Smith gasped as looking she used her hands to cover her face.
She couldn't believe it...!
They were in public...!
They had kissed in public...!
What was wrong with her husband anyway?
But wait...
They were married...
So there was nothing wrong with them kissing in public...right?
Not like as if they had been doing something bad in secret...they were married for Christ's sake!
But he knew that she hated doing stuff like that in public, why did he do that now?
And at the airport for that matter and in front of the kids???
God, where did this man come from...?
Looking at his wife's flushed face covered with her palms, Mr. Smith couldn't contain his joy as he burst out laughing.
"Oh, Mrs. Smith, why are you suddenly so shy?" Mr. Smith asked.
Mrs. Smith peeked through her fingers as she looked at her husband.
Seeing her eyes peeking through her fingers, Mr. Smith chuckled lightly before lowering his lower body so that his mouth could be at her ear level...
Hugging her gently, Mr. Smith gently chewed on her ear as he whispered;
"I can't wait to test if you're still good at night...!"
His voice was filled with passion and desire as he looked down at his small, yet tall, elegant wife...
Mrs. Smith stared at her husband in shock as she couldn't believe what he had just said...
Or what it her ears...?
Looking away from her husband, she could feel her cheeks burning intensely...
As soon as her husband grabbed a hold of her waist and was about to pull her to himself, Mrs. Smith gently pushed him away.
As she pushed him away, she pouted as she turned away from him to gently adjusted her clothing as she checked herself thoroughly.
Her gesture was so cute, Mr. Smith couldn't help giving a;
"Awww...!"
And then the couples in the crowd hugged themselves as they also let out an;
"Awww...!"
They had never seen a couple that had been married for let's say, twenty years, that had displayed their love like that in public, and had the passion still on...
It was rear...
But now that they had seen this, some that had given up on love, felt encouraged to try again, because most of them had been through raging storms and calm seas...
"Oh My God, did they just...!"
"Hush...I need to enjoy the moment!"
"My God...This just gave me some hope!"
"God, I never thought that 'real' true love could last till this extent...!"
" 'Real' true love?" Somebody asked as she laughed, turning back to look at the lady that had made that statement.
"Yeah..!" The lady nodded.
"Are there fake loves in the first place?" The first lady asked.
The expression on the face of the lady that had made the 'fake love' statement suddenly changed as her shoulders dropped as she went silent.
"Jane?" The lady that had asked the question about fake true love called as she noticed the change in her friend's face.
The lady named Jane that had commented on fake true love sighed as she asked;
"Didn't I tell you 'bout the break between Dan and I?"
The other lady's eyes shot out in surprise.
"W...W...What...Why didn't you tell me?" The other lady asked.
Jane chuckled lightly and held onto her chest as she began to gasp for air.
She almost fainted if it had not been for the inhaler her friend removed from her purse and handed to her.
Taking deep breaths from the inhaler, Jane was able to steady her breathing again.
"Thanks Cynthia...!" Jane cried.
Slowly leading her to where they would get a seat, Cynthia, the black lady that had handed over to Jane an inhaler, gently sat her down as she sat bedside her and watched her calm herself.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
Jane turned to look at her friend in the eye as she asked;
"Why didn't I tell you what...?"
"What happened between you and Dan?" Cynthia cut in to ask.
"It's a long story...!"
Jane turned away as she looked down and played with her inhaler, not saying anything more to Cynthia.
Cynthia waited patiently, but when she realized that her best friend wasn't willing to answer her, she decides to speak up.
But as she did, Jane subconsciously spoke up first...
"When he moved in to LA to continue schooling...!" Then she's paused as years began rolling down her eyes.
"Hey hey hey...!" Cynthia called out as she placed her hand on her friend's shoulder to comfort her.
"It's alright...!" Cynthia said again as she pulled out a napkin from her purse and handed it over to Jane.
"Here...!" Cynthia said as she handed over to Jane the napkin.
Taking from Cynthia's hand, Jane used it to wipe her tears and the flow from her nose.
After she was down, she looked up and then later at her friend beside her as she said;
"How I wish I had take your advice and not Maddie's...!"
Cynthia smiled sadly.
"Because after he was done with his program, I was so thrilled, you know? I was preparing a huge family dinner, for the both if us...both of our families...!"
"You don't need to say it, I was there, I helped you prepare...!" Cynthia said.
Jane wiped the tears that were slowly rolling down as she threw herself on Cynthia, and cried to more.
"You know that day we were supposed to go and pick him up from the airport...? I was supposed to go and pick him up...remember?" Jane asked.
Cynthia nodded as she moved her hand up and down her friend's back, her anger fanning as she said;
"Yeah...?"
"You we supposed to give me the feedback but you didn't... now's the best time that God had specially kept aside for me to personally teach you a lesson!" Cynthia said seriously, but Jane took it as a joke and laughed.
Looking at her friend, Jane said;
"When I went to the airport to pick him up, I waited for about an hour, but when I didn't see, I gave him a call, and told him how I've been waiting for him, and all of that, but then he told me he would be there soon and the. I waited for another hour...!"
"When I didn't see him, I tried calling again, but the call wasn't through, and then I came back home...!"
Cynthia nodded as she said;
"Yeah, then you told us he wasn't picking your calls and that you were sad and all that stuff...!"
Nodding, Jane said looked down as she said;
"Well...That night...I was still trying to reach him, but...!" Shaking her head in negation as she looked at Cynthia, she said;
"It still didn't go through...!"
"So I decided to talk to him through Facebook, but as I logged in...!" She began to cry again.
"It's okay...it's okay, calm down, take it easy...!"
Breathing in deeply as she took some few sucks from the inhaler, Jane said;
"That was when I discovered that he was getting married!"
Blinking a couple of times, Cynthia asked;
"I'm sorry, you said what now?"
Looking at the inhaler in her hand, Jane smiled as she said;
"He posted that he was getting married...!"
"And to who...?" Cynthia asked as she pointed her mouth in another direction.
Jane hesitated a bit.
"Look Jane, girl, you don't try to hide anything from me, cause I'm gon' find out sooner or later...!" Cynthia said.
"If you're gon' find out sooner or later, why didn't you find out 'bout this one earlier on...?" Jane asked.
"Uh, cause, I wanted you to open your mouth and say it to me yourself...cause we're best friends and as best friends and as best friends we don't have to hide anything from each other...!" Cynthia said.
Jane bursted out laughing.
Cynthia frowned.
"Funny...!" She said.
"What's funny?" Cynthia asked.
"You know, it just reminds me if what happened today...!"
"Yeah, about the incident with the two girls over a single guy, yeah, I'm aware...!" Cynthia cut her off.
Jane looked at her friend mouth wide in surprise, before turning her head back.
"I don't even see anything special in or on that guy...!" Cynthia said.
"He ain't even got the features fully!"
Jane burstut laughing.
"Cynthia...please...!" Jane laughed.
"What?"
"It's not funny...I'm being serious...!" Cynthia said.
After she had given Jane some time to laugh off her sadness, she said;
"Now, back to what we were talking 'bout!"
Jane remembered her sadness again.
"Why didn't you tell me all this before?" Cynthia asked.
As Jane opened her mouth, no words came out before finally saying;
"I don't know, I guess I didn't want you to be mad...!"
Cynthia stared open-mouthed.
"Uh, hello?" She said.
"We family...do you keep things away from your mom?"
Seeing that what she has said, had an impact on Jane, she softened as she took Jane's hand in her hands.
Sighing, she said;
"I know, I still have to do something fixing in that big head of yours...!"
Jane frowned.
Sighing again, Cynthia said;
"But I know that there may still be another chance in love, you know?"
"I know this ain't the full story about it, you not givin' me in deets yet...!" Cynthia said.
Jane chuckled.
"Yeah, I just told you the surface...he even told me that he didn't want to have anything to do with me anymore because...!"
"Wait wait wait...!" Cynthia said.
"You mean, get told you that...?" She asked.
"I don't wanna talk 'bout it...!" Jane said as she lowered her head and sighed.
Lifting you her head, she said;
"That's why I never...you know...like, like all these kind of love stuffs that you guys get involved in...!"
"Not because I don't like it, I enjoy watching you guys as you guys explain your love experiences...!"
"I bet you feel alone deep down whenever we share our stories...!" Cynthia said.
"You have no idea...!" Jane said.
Cynthia nothing as she sighed.
Adjusting herself into a comfortable position, Cynthia sighed as she placed her hand on Jane's back as leaned forward.
Cynthia wanted to say something but was interrupted by a phone call.
"Damn it...!" She said.
Picking up her phone, she realized that the call was from her boyfriend, Brandon...
"Hey babe...!" Cynthia greeted.
It was a video call.
Brandon couldn't hide his excitement as he said;
"There's my other half...babe, what's up, where are you?" Brandon asked.
"I'm at the airport with Jane...!" Cynthia replied.
"Oh, how's she doing? Is she there?" Brandon asked.
"Yeah, she is...!" Cynthia said.
"Can I talk to her?"
Cynthia smiled.
Handing over the phone to Jane, Cynthia said in a soft voice;
"Brandon wants to talk to you...!"
Wiping the tears away from her eyes, Jane sniffed as she collected the phone from her.
"Hey,,randon...!" He greeted.
"Hey what's up...!" Brandon's the lively and cheerful type, and also your dream big brother that always seems to care about even the tiniest details.
So when he noticed Jane's expression, his face quickly changed.
"Hey, Jane, what's up?" He asked.
Jane shook her head as she replied;
"Nothing...I don't wanna bother you with anything!"
Brandon smiled.
"But you do know that I have Cynthia, right?" He asked.
Janebbburst outtoutt
BroBottledYou know that right?" He asked again.
"And what is that supposed to mean...?" Cynthia asked as she poked her head from behind wearing a funny expression on her face.
"And you know I'm gonna get the information in one day from the person that...you know...we're secretly talkin' 'bout bit doesn't know we're talkin' 'bout her...!" Brandon said in a low voice.
"I can hear you!" Cynthia said in a loud voice.
"No, she can't!" Jane whispered back.
Brandon nodded.
"Yeah, but I think she has superpowers or something...!"
Cynthia shot him a look.
Laughing from the other side of the phone alongside Jane, Brandon said;
"Yeah... I don't know what's bothering Jane...but God's gon' get you through it in a manner that you'll and you've never expected before...!"
"It's all gon' be so sudden!"
Jane nodded, seriously believing, but jokingly said;
"Amen Pastor...I believe it!"
"And so you shall receive it...!" Brandon said.
Jane smiled.
She was calmed now...
Thanks to the two (2) amazing friends that she had been blessed to have...
Returning the phone to Cynthia, Brandon told her he had a surprise for her later on and that he would patiently wait for her to come.
Upon all the methods Cynthia had used to get Jim to talk, his lips remained sealed.
"Get back first...That's when you would know!"
"Take your time...!" And with that, he hung up.
"What's the surprise?" Jane asked.
"You're asking me, I'm asking him... We're asking ourselves...!" Was the reply Cynthia had given to Jane.
