Chapter 57 - To The Airport(About To Go)...18

"Shhh, did you find a treasure or something of great value that you exclaimed like that?" Troy asked, sounding annoyed.

Both Lucas and Temi turned their heads to look at Troy who had an angry look on his face.

What he had said, discouraged Lucas to the point where he stopped talking.

"Really, Troy...?" Temi asked.

"Do you have to always discourage Lucas whenever he's in the middle of discussing something pretty important...?"

"What's important in what he's saying, huh?" Troy asked as he put his hand into his pockets.

"It's very important...even if it's not as important as you think it is, give him that feeling that...okay, this thing that I did is very important and then if there are flaws in it, you can call him back later and tell him!"

Temi said.

"You don't just go around and then discourage the kid's dream...!"

"I'm not discouraging his dream, I'm just indirectly telling him to grow up and live the big boys' life...;"

"Well, what's the big boys' life, eh...?" Temi asked.

"The life of the jocks, where you get to...or rather, you want to, impress some girl that doesn't even know you exist?"

"Alright, his ideas have always been as lame as him, and him, as lane as his ideas...how do I tell 'em?" Troy asked.

"Troy!" Mrs. Smith called sternly.

Standing upright, Temi said;

"His ideas are not lame, neither is he, so now if you don't want me to tell you something that would ruin the rest of your day, and the only time you'd remember it, is when you see me or think of me...then you had better maintain yourself...!" Temi said seriously.

"Oh My God, now big Sis Temi's gonna fight me...help, help, please...I need help...!"

"Well, you better run, because you're gonna need that help sooner or later...!" Temi said.

"You can't do anything...!" Troy said.

"Nor can you!" Temi said.

Troy was silent for a moment.

"Why do you always fight for him anyway?" He asked.

"Because he's my brother...!"

"Don't you have other brothers too?" Troy asked.

"Wow, I can't believe that for once in your life you used your brains right...!" Temi teased.

Troy scoffed.

"Of course I use my brains...!"

"And it's pronounced 'brain', not 'brains'...!"

"If it's pronounced 'brain', why did you repeat after me and called it 'brains'?" Temi asked.

He had walked directly into her trap.

"I didn't say that...!" Troy argued.

"Not gonna argue...!" Temi said as she raised her hands as if admitting defeat, but...

"See, I didn't say that!" Troy said.

"Ask your parents...they'd tell you!"

As she said, she didn't speak with him any longer as she turned her attention back to Lucas, who now had his head lowered...

Turning to look at his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Smith both turned their heads in different directions and did different things...

Mr. Smith whistled while looking the other way, while Mrs. Smith pulled out her phone and browsed through the web...

After comforting Lucas and listened to his instructions on how to operate the machine, Temi hugged him one last time and then moved on to Bryan.

Kneeling, she swooped Bryan from his feet into her arms as she gave him a light kiss on the forehead and then hugged him again...

Mr. and Mrs. Smith smiled as they all looked at the both of them...

They were well aware of the closeness and bond Temi shared with her brothers...

Though she was the only girl, she always did her best to make sure that they all stayed together and fought for each other against anyone that opposed them, even if they were fighting in public...

There was this one time, Troy and Lucas were both arguing over something irrelevant on the streets as they were walking back from school, the matter, Temi could not recall what it was about.

They were headed for Bryan's school.

When they had picked up Bryan from school, they continued their walk back home and then Troy brought up the discussion they were having earlier on and was scolding Lucas about it...

And then Bryan joined in.

"Shut up, you little rascal...?" Lucas shunned angrily.

"You don't know 'bout anything, and the moment big bro brought up whatever's between us, you start scolding like as if I'm your little one?"

"Am I your mate? Do I look like someone that you've got authority over...?" Lucas couldn't help but yell at his younger brother, causing him to hide behind his oldest brother, Troy, who, still added fuel to the fire...

"Why are you hiding behind me?" Troy asked.

"Nobody asked you to talk!" Troy said as he pulled out his phone and browsed through.

Bryan looked up at his oldest brother in surprise as he couldn't believe his ears...

Did his oldest brother just say that to him...?

Thought they were in this together...?

As Lucas was still ranting on and on and on, some 'friends' happened to be passing by...

"Hey, Lucas...!" A boy that seemed to be older than Troy called.

Lucas turned around.

"Who's calling me?" He asked l, sounding annoyed as he turned around, only to freeze.

"I'm callin' ya, loser!"

"Oh crap!" Lucas muttered.

Having heard that his brother's name was called, Lucas looked up from his phone and stared at the three boys that were all on leather jackets...

Bullies...!

Were what first came to Troy's mind.

Being a jock and moving with them at this own school he was bound to know them from mere seeing...

"Lucas, who are those?" As if he hadn't just ignored his brothers just now, Troy asked.

Without turning to look at his older brother, Lucas simply replied;

"Bullies...!"

"They must've been trailing me from school!" Then he turned and looked at his brother, who met his eyes.

After about a second, Troy slowly lowered his eyes down to his phone.

Lucas wasn't too surprised.

They had just been arguing about something, so it's only natural for him not to have anything to do with him...

And his trouble

After a while of looking, Lucas turned his head back, moving his eyes, Lucas thought of how he could escape the trouble that was now approaching...

Looking a the little boy that Lucas had been yelling at, the boy that had called Lucas from behind said;

"I called you, Smith, and you turned your head away like as if you didn't hear me, huh?" The boy said as he walked past Lucas. But not without hitting the back of his head on the process.

Lucas didn't say anything.

Walking to stand in front of Bryan, the boy rested his hands on his knees as he looked at Bryan... studying him well.

"What a cute boy...!" That was all the boy said as he chuckled lightly as he moved to stand beside him.

Looking at Lucas, the boy said;

"Harassing a little boy I see...!" The boy said as he placed his hand on little Bryan's head, rubbing it in the process.

Lucas' eyes widened in shock.

No one was supposed to touch their heads, apart from themselves, their parents, sister, and the pastor...

No one's given the audacity to touch their heads...

And yeah, also other than their hairstylists...

They were very cautious about who places their hands on their heads...

It was very important.

But Lucas did not doubt his little brother's abilities as little Bryan tossed the boy's hand off of his head.

When the boy had rubbed little Bryan's head, ruffling it with his hand, Bryan's eyes shot open in surprise as he looked at his brother Lucas, who was also surprised.

"Timothy, I've told you before...don't touch the head...!" Lucas yelled.

"Well, it's not your head now, is it?" The white boy names Timothy asked.

Rubbing his hand further in Bryan's head, Bryan had had enough, already and raising his hand above his head, removed Timothy's hand and gave him a strong push that had him moving backward and landing on the ground.

Timothy was surprised, and so were his friends...

It had all happened so fast, he didn't have time to think.

"Whoa, look at you..!" Timothy exclaimed as he laughed.

Reaching out his hand forward, his friends helped him up.

When he was sure that he had no dirt on his body, he slowly walked up to the little boy that had given him such a push, it had him on the floor.

As he approached, Lucas took a step back.

Resting his hands on his knees, Timothy looked at Bryan in the eyes.

He could see the boy's boldness.

Slowly, his lips curved into a smirk.

Raising his hand slowly, he aimed it for Bryan's head, to touch his head again, only to have his hand caught in mid-air.

"Whoa, this boy's got strength...!" Timothy said.

"He's got a strong grip...!" Timothy laughed as his other friends laughed with him, thinking it was a joke, but, only Timothy knew what he was saying.

He had said it like a joke, so none of his two (2) friends took him seriously as they laughed...

"You can try that with my big brother Lucas, but do 'NOT', try that rubbish with me...!" Bryan said in a stern voice as his face looked angry.

"Awww, aren't you a cutie...?" One of the boys said.

As he said that's, he was about to reach for Bryan's head to pat it, but what came wasn't something he had bargained for...

As he reached out his hand towards Bryan's head, Bryan gave him a kick to the face and also gave the other guy that was about to reach for him.

Trying to free himself from the little boy's grip, Timothy's eyes suddenly popped wide.

"Lucas is your brother?" He asked.

"Yep...!" Lucas answered as he slowly walked up to his brother from the side.

Placing his hand on his brother's head, Lucas said;

"I'm his older brother and he is my little brother!"

"How can a little brat such as this be so able to land a kick on Tim, when you can't even score a goal when playing football?" One of the boys asked.

Feeling Timothy's fierce gaze on him, he quickly said;

"No offense, I just wanted to know...!"

"If I was told that you were Lucas' little brother, I wouldn't believe it...!"

Turning to look at Lucas, Timothy said;

"You're weak, man...!"

Before he could finish his sentence, Timothy received a punch on his nose region.

Gripping his nose as he winced in pain, Bryan said;

"Get your hands off me...!"

"Sorry...!" Lucas apologized.

Huddling up together, the boys all held onto their various parts where they had been hit.

"Whoa, that boy's strong...!"

"He's got a good grip...!"

"Did they just say that they're brothers?" The first one asked.

"That surprised me as well!" Timothy said.

Turning their heads in the direction of Lucas and Bryan, the three boys looked away, and then whispering amongst themselves, they got up and headed straight for the boys.

When the three boys had looked in their direction and then turned away Lucas and Bryan had both looked at themselves, before turning back to look at Troy, who, also looked at them, before shifting his gaze to the three boys.

After watching them for a while, he gestured for his two (2) brothers to come to him so that they can be going.

When they had heard Timothy say;

"Got it...?"

Both Lucas and Bryan both looked at themselves and then subconsciously back at Troy as he gestured for them to come his way.

Looking at themselves, they began walking in the direction of Troy only to be blocked by the three (3) boys, standing in their way.

Slowly, Lucas and Bryan both raised their heads to look at the three (3) boys that were way taller than they are...

Looking at Lucas, get slowly shifted his gaze to Bryan.

Smirking, Timothy said;

"I like this brother of yours, Deeb twit!"

"At least got some nerves...you don't even have pants, to begin with..!"

The two other boys laughed.

Lucas smiled.

Shifting his gaze back to his brother, Timothy said;

"He's got what it takes to be a leader...!"

Using his hand to poke Lucas' head, Timothy said;

"Unlike you that can't stand up for yourself!"

Saying this, they all burst out laughing.

"You're talking 'bout my brother that he didn't stand up for himself...you couldn't even stand up for yourself when I punched you...!" Bryan said.

"So what's the difference?" He asked.

They all stopped laughing as they look at each other, except for Timothy, who glared down at Bryan.
