When Temi and her Mother remembered all these, they couldn't help themselves as they rolled on the bed in laughter.
After some time, getting up from the bed, Temi's Mum couldn't help but clutch at her stomach as she made her way for the door as she asked;
"Oh dear, do you remember that?"
"I do, I can't even remember you remember these events after all these years!" Temi said as she got up from the bed as well and made for the toilet.
After laughing some more, Temi's Mother finally remembered why she had come into her daughter's room in the first place.
"Oh, and dear?" Her Mother called Temi.
When she had reached the toilet, she placed one hand on the doorknob and then turned back to look at her Mother as she asked;
"Yeah, Mum?"
"Your flight would be leaving in three (3) hours, so you have to be there...!"
"An hour before the flight takes off!" Temi responded as she nodded, showing that she understood.
Nodding, her Mother stepped her leg out of the room, then remembering something else, she exclaimed;
"Oh!"
Temi that had wanted to enter the toilet stopped when she heard her Mother's voice.
Walking briskly towards her daughter, she brought her daughter's forehead down to lips as she planted a kiss.
Letting go of her daughter's head, she looked at her daughter's eyes, as she used her hand to puff her hair up and down.
"I love you, dear...!" Her mother said, her voice emotional with tears in her eyes.
"Love you, Mum!" Temi said.
Her mother smiled.
"I know!"
"And I want you to know that we are so proud of you, I and your Father, we are so proud of the person that you become...!"
"We trained you up from little, all the way into the kindergarten, and then into the primary, and then high school and now you've graduated and you are now preparing for the Uni. ...!"
Her mother said as she brought her hand to her mouth to cover it as tears began rolling from her eyes.
"We, are so proud of you!" Her Mother said.
Swallowing her tears, she said;
"And I know you would continue to make us prouder than we already are!"
"Your brothers are so lucky to have an older sister like you, someone that they can loom up to when they think they can't make it...!" Her Mother said.
"You are their hope...!"
"And also with the grace of God, you've made it this far, keep trusting in the Lord Temi...!"
Her Mother said.
Nodding, Temi said;
"I will Mum!
"I know Temi, I know!" Her mother said as she smiled.
Then she got all serious again and then lowered her voice as I'd she didn't want anyone to listen to what she was saying.
"But there's something else that's pretty serious...!" Her Mother said.
"Okay, but cam I use to look first, I'm kinda pressed right now...!" Temi said as she asked nervously.
"It won't take a minute!" Her Mother said.
Nodding to calm herself down, Temi nodded.
"Okay!" She said nervously.
Her Mother's face looked hesitant, but she mustered up the courage to ask;
"You love your Father and I now, don't you?"
Frowning, Temi said;
"Of course I do Mum, with all of my heart, my words cannot express how I feel right now!" Temi's voice was strong as she could no longer feel the urge to use the toilet.
Her mother nodded as she looked down.
Waiting for a while to hear her Mother go on, but she didn't, therefore, Temi took the initiative to ask;
"What's wrong Mum?"
"Why did you ask that kind of question?"
Raising her head to look into her daughter's eyes, she shook her head as she said;
"Nothing, nothing, it's just...!" Her voice trailed off.
"Forget about it, just forget about it...!" Her mother said as she turned to go, but was held back by Temi.
Holding her Mother's arm, she gently brought her Mother back to stand on her previous spot with her staring into her eyes.
As she grabbed her Mother's arm, her Mother flinched.
When she was gently turned around to look at her, she had a look of fear in her eyes, making Temi suspect something.
"Mum, you know that once you start a conversation about me or to me, I won't let you go until you finish it!" Her voice was stern, but she had a smile on her face.
Breathing heavily, Temi's Mother trembled slightly as she nodded and looked down as she said;
"Yeah, yes, yes, I know!"
Her voice was trembling as she spoke.
Temi was a good observer.
Nothing could pass her eyes and senses by as she could grab any tiny detail, in a second, it's a shame, she wants to study business and entrepreneurship...
So this case wasn't different as she could sense some kind of fear in her Mother.
Looking at her Mother, Temi called;
"Mum...?"
Her mother looked up.
Looking into her eyes, Temi asked;
"What's wrong?"
Looking at her daughter, Temi's Mother could not look into her eyes as she blinked and looked elsewhere.
"I, uh, nothing, nothing there's nothing...!"
Her mother said as she looked down and shook her arm, demanding to be free from her daughter's grip, which was not too hard.
When Temi released her Mother's arm, she still watched her Mother.
She knew that her Mother would tell whatever was bothering her, sooner or later.
So walking into the toilet and then easing herself whilst thinking, Temi came out and still found her Mother on the same spot, still thinking, as if she didn't know she (Temi) wasn't there for a while.
Temi's Mother was so immersed in her thoughts, Temi could see diamonds of tears rolling down her cheeks.
Walking towards the bed, Temi's eyes did not leave her Mother as she slowly sat on her bed.
"Temi!" Her mother called.
"Yes, Mum?" Temi replied.
It was then that Temi's Mother realized her daughter wasn't in front of her anymore.
Turning around, she saw her daughter sitting on the bed.
And Temi's there was right, her Mother did have strings of tears on her face.
Frowning, Temi asked;
"Mummy, what's wrong?"
Wiping the strings of tears away from her face, Temi's Mother walked towards the bed and sat at the end of the bed, far from where her daughter sat.
Temi was kind of shocked as her Mother sat away from her, which was unlike her.
Moving to where hiss Mother sat before she could ask her mother what the problem was, her mother beat her to it as she asked;
"Temi, I want you to tell me the truth right now...!"
Temi that had wanted to put her arms around her Mother now paused as she slowly lowered her arms and studied her Mother's face.
Taking in a deep breath, her Mother asked;
"Temi, do you plan on getting rid of us?"
