Her Dad frowned, still with a smile on his face.
"How? What do you mean?" He asked.
"The way you were holding Mum as if...it was just too intimate!" Temi said.
Her parents couldn't stop themselves from smiling as her mother turned to face her husband and muttered;
"I told you this wasn't a good idea...!"
"And 'I' told you she'll experience it in the town time, and she'll be the one to do it and perform more...!" Her husband cut her short.
"YOU SEE WHAT I'M SAYING!!!" Little Temi exclaimed, catching her parents off guard.
Startled her parents both turned to look at her.
Holding her chest and almost falling, but thanks to her husband, who held her from behind, her parents asked;
"What's the meaning of that Temi?" Her Father asked as he frowned
"Mummy...!" She said.
Both parents looked at each other.
Frowning, her Mother asked;
"Mummy, what did I do?"
Temi's giggled.
"You called your name...!"
Her parents frowned as they looked at each other, finding the situation funny.
Clearing her throat as he looked up, she pointed at her Mummy and asked;
"Mummy, did you see the way Daddy touched you?" Hugged you to be precise?"
"Yeah? So?" Her Mother asked.
Temi's eyes widened as her mouth fell agape.
"S...S...So?" She asked.
"What do you mean 'So'?" She asked again bewildered.
"You taught me not to allow any man to touch me and yet, here you are, letting Dad touch you, that's crazy...!" She exclaimed as she raise her hands in the air.
As she spoke, her parents paid keen attention to what she was saying, when they discovered what she was so scared about, they couldn't help but burst into an out-roar of laughter.
"It's not funny, I'm being serious here...!" Temi exclaimed as she discovered they didn't take what she was saying seriously.
"We know that you're being serious right now Temi, but it's okay...!" Her father said.
Temi didn't understand what she was saying, so she frowned.
"I don't get you, Daddy, what's okay?" She asked.
"The fact that you guys aren't taking what I'm saying seriously and are laughing right now, or the fact that what I said is true, but you guys don't w at to admit it?"
She asked as she moved her hands to and fro to demonstrate her points.
Her Mother that had been laughing hard and was now holding her tummy and was resting by the pantry side, suddenly stopped laughing, and with tears in her eyes, she asked;
"What you said is true...!" Looking at her daughter pretty well, she asked;
"What did you say that is true or had any meaning in it?"
"What I said is true and has some meaning it, Mum, and you guys know it, but you do want to admit it!" Little snapped as she pouted.
Her mother looked at her husband as he also looked at her, and then, they both shook their heads.
They both knew that they had, not only a parrot in their house but also a lawyer, who could never keep her mouth shut, except when told to...
And when needed.
Turning to look at his daughter, Temi's Father asked;
"Okay, so what's bothering you now?"
"Or rather, what do you find 'yuck' or 'yucky' or whatever, in what we're doing now, like right now...!" Her Mother added.
Clearing her throat, little Temi interlocked her hand as she began;
"Well, what I find to be improper in what you guys were doing, or rather just did...;" Little Temi began.
"Improper?" Her mother exclaimed as she couldn't help the smile that had crept into her face right now.
"Yes Mum, improper!" Temi answered sternly with a plain expression on her face as if she were dealing with a business affair right now.
Her mother, with her mouth wide open, slowly turned her head to look at her husband, who was beside her.
Her husband was also staying at his daughter in amazement, though his face looked plain.
When he noticed that his wife had turned to look at him, he turned to look at her, as he then shrugged.
"What do you expect?" He asked in a low tone.
"We just gotta roll with it...!" He mouthed.
Clearing her throat to call back their attention and signify that she wasn't finished, she asked;
"Are you both done?"
When they had turned back their attention to her, she didn't wait for them to urge her on before she continued.
"You both taught me not to get in a relationship with any boy or guy till the time I get married...!" She began.
Her mother nodded as she said;
"That's correct, go on...!"
"And then, you also said that if any boy or any one of the males try to touch me, in any inappropriate manner, I should give them the beating of their lives and that I should go and report...am I right?" Little Temi asked.
Both parents nodded.
Clearing her throat again, she said;
"Okay, then if that's the case...!" She said as she turned to look at her Mother.
"Why didn't you defend yourself, Mum?" She asked sternly.
"Luke tell Daddy, to 'not' touch you?" Temi asked as she placed some stress on the 'not' part.
Her Mother that had been watching her in amazement stared at her for a while, before bursting out into laughter.
"What's funny?" Little Temi asked annoyed.
"Why didn't I defend myself?" Her Mother asked.
Little Temi nodded her head.
Hooking her arms over her husband, she smiled as she said;
"Well, he's my husband of course, and I'm married!"
"Well, you taught me not to...!" Temi was cut short.
"Yes, we taught you about all that, but, that applied to when you are not married, and you're not!" Her father said.
Her mother nodded as she repeated;
"Yeah, you're not married right now, so, what we taught you is what applies to people like you and of your age...."! Her Mother said.
Little Temi frowned, then she shook her head.
"Wait, I...I...I don't get you, Mum...!"
"You have friends at school that is your age and have boyfriends, right?" Her mother asked as she unhooked her arms from off of her husband's neck, causing her husband to feel uneasy a bit.
Little Temi nodded.
"Yeah, I've got plenty of 'em...!" Temi said.
"Right...!" Her mother said as she nodded. She was about to say something when Temi interrupted her.
"Like there's this girl, he name's Ricky...!"
"Ricky?" Her Mother frowned as she asked.
"What kind of a name's that?" She asked again as she turned to look at her husband who shrugged.
"I don't know!" He answered in a low tone as he turned his attention to his phone.
His wife watched him and then slowly turned her attention to Temi who shrugged and said;
"I don't know either!"
"When she was new into the school about two (2) years ago, she was so arrogant, the teachers couldn't do anything about it...!" Temi said.
"Huh?" Her Father asked as he looked up from his phone at her.
Nodding, Temi looked at her father as she answered;
"Yeah, she was so arrogant, she could slap our teachers right in the face...!"
"And they didn't do anything about it?" Her Father asked as he folded his arms across his chest.
"They couldn't do anything about it!" Temi said as she looked at him.
"I bet it's because she's the proprietor's daughter...!"
Lowering his head as he shook it, he said;
"Even though...!"
"Even though she's the proprietor, she should have some manners, she can't just be getting in everybody's nerves like as if she owns the place!" Her Father added.
"Even though she was born into a very successful family, she wasn't there when her parents, especially her Father, was building up that school...!"
"So she shouldn't raise her shoulders and brag about what her parents did, maybe in a day, give to her and it'll take her fifty (50) years to accomplish...!" Before he finished, Temi burst out laughing.
Hahaha, Oh Daddy, why are you like this?" She asked as she laughed.
"No, it's the truth, I'm being serious here...!" He said as he turned to look at his wife, who couldn't hold herself as she also chuckle at what her husband said.
"Give her something that'll take other people one hour to do, but that kind of person would take eternity, least time, five (5) hours...!"
Both mother and daughter couldn't help but burst out laughing.
Both couldn't hold in the laughter, and as they both laughed, they laughed so hard, their tummies hurt and therefore had to rest on something...
Temi's Mother rested on the pantry, while Temi fell to the floor.
"Be careful baby...!" Her mother said, still laughing.
Nodding, but still laughing, little Temi answered;
"Yes, Mum, d...d...don't worry, haha!"
