''Where were you?'' Her mothers voice startled her. After talking with her father, Trinity had tried sneaking into the house, but was obviously not smart enough. By now, it had grown dark, and her mother was getting really worried.
''I was taking out the trash?'' it came out more of a question than an answer.
Her mother looked at her with her eyebrows raised. ''So you're telling me that it took you almost two hours taking out one bag of trash?'' she always knew when her daughter was lying and today is one of those times.
Trinity shrugged. She knew her mother had caught her pulling her leg. ''Well, I just stopped by the lake.''
''Why?''
''Because I felt like going there mom!; its no big deal anyways,'' saying this she ran upstairs, leaving her mom speechless.
''What am I going to do with that girl'' she thought aloud.
''Maybe try being a friend.'' She turned around to see Margret standing behind her.
''You heard everything, huh.''
''Pretty much.''
''I don't know what to do,'' she sighed.
''Just talk to her,'' The other lady said, gesturing towards the stairs.

The warm shower felt so good against her face and the smell of all the scented soap and oil felt even better. Trinity never used any of the soap except the lavender scented one; but when she went to bath, she opened all the bottles of the oil so that they released the beautifully intoxicating fragrances while she cleaned herself up.
As she got out of the bathroom, she heard a knock on the door. ''One minute!'' She called out, as she rushed to wear something before letting her whoever was at the door in. She quickly grabbed the 1st outfit in the drawer, which was a pink floral nightie and put them on, as there was a call from outside, ''Rin, honey, can we talk?'' It was her mothers voice.
She stopped for a while before opening the door, then gestured for her to entre, closing the door behind them. They didn't say a word for a few minutes, Dorin, after sitting a tray with 2 cups of hot chocolate that she had with her on the bedside drawer, tried looking for the right words to begin and Trinity didn't know what to say either. After a long awkward silence, Dorin finally spoke up, ''I just wanted to say I'm sorry for the way I treated you earlier. I shouldn't have called Cupidra before 1st letting you know; and today... I overreacted.'' There was a long pause again.
''It's ok mom, I also overreacted,'' Trinity said, playing with her finger tips.
''I've always thought that you working in a cheap diner would lower our standards, but I guess I was wrong. you're happy working there, that's all that matters.''
A smile formed on Trinity's lips. ''Really mom?''
Dorin nodded, also smiling, ''Yes.''
''Thank you mom; thank you so much,'' She said as she hugged her mother after ages.
''Now, drink up and go to bed, don't expect me to not wake you up early just because tomorrow is Saturday,'' She said winking at her daughter, as she saw herself out of the room.
"Mom, isn't this second cup yours?" Trinity called out before she reached the door. Her mother slapped her forehead, ''I totally forgot,'' She said as she came back. They both drank their beverage, and then Dorin escorted herself out, with only her cup, since Trinity was still sipping hers.
Trinity couldn't believe it; her mother had not only come to apologize, but she also allowed her to work at the diner. Finally her mother was beginning to understand her. She was bought out of her thought by her phone ringing. The moment was ruined by her phone.
''Hey Brit, what's up?'' She answered her phone, dropping on her bed. She felt a little annoyed, since she was with her a few moments ago, and she's now calling her.
''What are you wearing tomorrow?'' Britannia asked from the other side.
''I'll just wear something... you know... I mean, it's not like I'm going on a date or something, I'm just meeting with my father.''
"After so many years!" Her friend sounded like she was desperate to meet her father too.
"I know... I'll just wear the floral sundress, the one with elastic strip. Oh and a summer hat... I remember when I was little my dad used to take me out to this same park dressed like that. He said I looked like a princess in sundress and hat," She said, taking a sip of her drink.
"You have to tell me everything afterwards, ok?"
"You're my best friend, what do you expect?"
"Oh yeah.. ok I gotta go, good night Trini."
"Night Briti."
After hanging up, Trinity gulped down her hot chocolate and deciding that her outfit was fine for sleeping in, she started raking through hair with a comb, not wanting too look like a storm had hit her hair in front of her father the next day.
They had planned to meet at the Upside Down Garden, which was located a few blocks away from where she lived. Her dad said it would be easier for her to come and it would be a perfect place to catch up.
She couldn't believe it. Finally after so many years, she will be seeing her dad. She had so much to ask him and so much to tell. She wondered if he had started a family, because if he has, she will be jealous if he has a daughter. She couldn't wait to tell him all about school, and of course the diner.
She couldn't sleep at night as all these thoughts were going in her head. Finally, everything was turning out well; her mother and her relationship was getting better and now she'll be meeting the most important person in her life.
''You're going?,'' Derek asked, as he took a bite of his egg and cheese sandwich.
''Yes, I thought both of you would stay for at least a week,'' Trinity chimed in.
''Well, your uncle has some real estate business to take care of, and I have to be back to work tomorrow,'' Margret replied, sipping her coffee.
''Speaking of which, Phil, the property you're here to sell, if they don't buy it, can I buy it?'' Patrick asked, winking at him.
''Oh Patty, you should have told me before, I would have kept it for you,'' Philip joked as they all laughed.
As they finished off their breakfast, they went about getting ready, and this was Trinity's opportunity to get ready and try to sneak off, but just like yesterday, she got caught by her mother.
''And just where do you think you're off to?'' Her mothers question startled her.
''Mom! I...ummm… I … I,'' She stuttered while trying to think of what to say.
''It's ok. You're grown up. You can do what you want... just don't do anything that might get you into trouble,'' Dorin said with a wink and smile.
Trinity felt relieved, since she didn't want to lie to her mother and she knew telling her the truth would be even worst. She smiled at her mother, as she git in her car, simultaneously as her uncle and aunt and drove out behind them.
It was almost 10am when She reached her destination, 'The Upside Garden' the board at the entrance read. It was just as she remembered, upon entering, there are beautiful multi colored orchids, hanging from the top, facing downwards. Going further, she was met by small shrubs, also hanging from the top. all the plants here hung upside down; hence the name. There were benches placed throughout the garden, which made it more of a park.
She strolled even further, her eyes searching for only one person; her father. She turned towards the upside down trees, and there he was, pacing back and forth lazily. Her heart beat rose. Triyast wore a brown shirt and blue jeans. He was also wore spectacles, which made him look smarter. Grey striks started to form on the sides of his black hair. The more she saw him, the more she thought as to why her mother left him.
''Trin!'' Her fathers voice drew her attention. She smiled as she was out of words. All this time she had thought of so many things to say and ask him, but now, she was standing there like s statue. Her eyes were wet and unbeknownst to her, her legs were moving forward.
''GET AWAY FROM HER!!!''
''DISPATCH, SUSPECT IS IN FRONT OF US.''
''GET ON THE GROUND.''
Someone pulled Trinity by her arm to the side, as reality dawned upon her. They were being surrounded by police officers, who were trying to arrest her father, while one female officer was dragging Trinity to her car.
''What are you doing? Let me go! Daddy?''
''Get into your car, I'll drive you home,'' The lady officer said as she took the screaming and kicking girl to her car.
Her mind couldn't process what had happened. She was standing right there; right in front of her father, but... why? why did this happen? It felt like a dream. A very bad dream. The dark clouds in her life just seemed to get even darker. When one thing begins to get into place, the other just has to blow up.
''Please tell me what's going on?'' Trinity asked the officer, still crying.
''We received a call that Mr. Triyast was breaching the law. That's all I know.'' She replied, turning a corner to reveal her house.
''What? That doesn't make sense.''
The officer parked outside of the Croven residence and Trinity cleaned her face before getting out of her car. Another patrol car was behind them probably to pick up officer Ship. She didn't care. All she wanted was a long shower and the and later some answers.

''Yes, and he thought he'd get away with it. Trinity didn't tell me, but I heard it when she was on the phone.... oh no, I had gone back to get her cup, and after that I immediately call the police and...'' The door slammed so hard, it made Dorin jump, dropping her phone in the process.
''It was you.''
