CHAPTER 8
In a dark a gloomy cell Lucy sits on the bed awaiting questioning, she hears footsteps and a light coming towards the cell she looks up and sees Mizuki standing in front of her holding up a lantern revealing her face she gazes at Mizuki with her beautiful sapphire eyes no sign of backing down she remains unbroken.
"You've broken into Ryu's castle and tried so sneak around like a common thief so pray tell what is the queen's executioner or should I say former executioner doing here?" Mizuki asks in a stern tone.
"Former yes and I will not be dealing with a maid, I want to deal with Ryu himself not his chamber maid." Lucy replies sarcasticly
"Well this chamber maid did catch and lock you up you sure are a sorry excuse for an executioner, now again tell me how you got in here or should I take you and torture you instead you'll only be a bloody mess once I'm done with you."
"Do your worst I have been on both ends of that stick so unless Ryu is dealing with me you can do what you wish to me I'll only speak with him." Lucy replies with a smile on her face.
Mizuki turns around and leaves seeing as Lucy is stubborn and nothing will come from torturing her she saw it in her eyes they were the eyes of someone determined and won't break easily, she heads up the stair where Veranda awaits her.
"So by the look it seems that she's as stubborn as ever?" Veranda asks in a somewhat sceptical tone.
"No she's stubborn all right the only other person I know being stubborn is Ryu himself, guess the only way to solve this fast is to get Ryu down here and talk to her so we can continue normally."
"Where is Ryu anyway?"
"He's in your room with Suker trying to figure out how she got here." Mizuki replies doubtfully.

In Veranda's room Ryu and Suker are investigating looking for traces of magic that she might have used to follow them through the portal.
"Your absolutely sure Suker there can be no doubt when it comes to these things?" Ryu with uncertainty
"I'm absolutely sure Ryu, one does not wear that underwear to a family gathering it's well I guess for special occasions." Suker replies in a shy tone
"WHAT ARE THE BOTH OF YOU DOING!!!" A loud voice screams from behind them.
They turn around to see both Veranda and Mizuki behind them, Veranda looks angry clinching her fists Mizuki stands behind her shaking her head with a faint smile on her face, they quickly close the drawer.
"What did you think she jumped out of my underwear drawer or something?" Veranda reprimands the both of them they don't say a word only staying silent.
"We had to make sure it's the only reason we did it who knows what spells could have been used to get her in here." Suker replies somewhat hesitantly.
"Have you managed to learn anything from her Mizuki?" Ryu askes
"No sorry I could not learn anything she is insisting on speaking with you and only you."
"No matter I'll go see her now, besides she used an ancient tracer spell to open the portal I used to follow us through it a day later and she would not have been able to follow us." Ryu replies as he and Suker walk out of the room and towards the cells.
Suker leaves Ryu and goes to his study and Ryu goes to the cells and starts to descend the stairs slowly Lucy hears the footsteps and notices that they are different from Mizuki's this must be Ryu she thinks and sits up looking forward with great expectation to see him and talk to him, finally he appears before her and she simply gazes at him and smiles.
"Finally the one I've been searching for has appeared to be honest I was hoping for a little torture first but seeing as you're here I guess you're not in the mood pity." Lucy states in a cold yet careful tone knowing that one wrong move or word would mean her certain death.
"Well yes but what intrigues me more is that why would someone willingly teleport into my domain and expect to live you surely have a death wish or you simply don't fear death which is it that brought you to my doorstep was your friends funeral not enough?"
"He was far from my friend I've left that life behind me and I also come bearing a gift and to serve you."
"Huh to serve and a gift very well what gift do you bring? Then we can discuss if I see fit for you to be at my side." Ryu replies in a curios tone wondering what this woman is playing at.
"You must let me out and take us to where you fought Nozar the gift is there."
"So be it I'll play along but know this if it is a trap I'll kill everyone there and you will die last a slow and painful death fitting for a traitor."
"I would not have it any other way my master."
Ryu lets Lucy out of her and teleports them to where they fought she leads him to the nearby trees, an illusion covers one tree inside she reaches inside and pulls out Curtana the sword Nozar used to fight with and tried to kill Ryu, she holds the sword in both hands one at the tip the other at the handle kneeling down and offering it to Ryu.
He takes the sword but seems somewhat unimpressed by the sword, he admires her determination and accepts the sword nonetheless he opens a portal for them, Lucy eyes look up and sees Ryu waiting for her, she follows him through the portal they appear in the throne room waiting for them is Veranda and Mizuki.
"Congratulations Mizuki you now have two underlings, Lucy I accept your request and for now Mizuki will be in charge of you, you'll follow her orders to the letter." Ryu says as he walks towards Ivaldi with Curtana in hand.
Ryu approaches Ivaldi in his forge hammering away, Ivaldi sees that he has Curtana in hand and immediately know why he is bringing it to his forge.
"So Ryu a magic super sword what brings it here to the castle?"
"A woman who else, I never intended to take some fools weapon but she seemed determined in giving it and joining us so here I am bringing it to you to improve it and allowing it to reach its full potential."
"Obviously a woman, you know they are your weakness right you're too soft on them, but in any case hand over that sword and I'll see what I can do to improve this piece of junk let me work my magic here." Ivaldi states as Ryu hands over the sword and leaves him to his work.
In the meantime Mizuki has given Lucy the same maid outfit Veranda is wearing. Lucy feels ridicules her hair now properly tied behind her head the follow Mizuki's orders and spends the day tending to the castle.
"This is going to take forever to reach the top, I wonder why he trusts that maid so she is powerful but I was caught off guard by her that's all and I've learned where his room is and now tonight I will seduce him and reach the top quickly after all what man can resist these eyes." Lucy thinks to herself
As night falls and the day ends she heads over to Ryu's room on the top floor she undresses and lies on the bed naked waiting for Ryu to come she is in the classic paint me like one of your French girl poses as she waits she grows tired and falls asleep on the bed Ryu was never even there. When she wakes up the next morning she is covered with a red silk blanket she gets up holding the blanket and looking for the person that covered her but is unable to find anyone else in the room, she dresses herself and leaves.
When she exits the door Mizuki and Veranda stand outside waiting for her, they only begin to giggle at Lucy.
"What is it?" Lucy askes in an embarrassing tone, blushing while she asks.
"Ryu never sleeps in there nobody knows where he sleeps." Veranda states in a jokingly tone towards Lucy.
"S-shut up you." Lucy says her expression is one of somebody who just did something dumb and knows it.
"Enough Veranda leave the lover girl alone we have work to do." Mizuki calms them and they start their day.
Ryu is standing in Ivaldi's forge he brings the newly forged Curtana to him.
"I improved upon it, it is now worthy of your power Ryu, but know this that weapon was forged by elves I suspect they may have been aiding the humans in their affairs to kill you and may play a large part in this behind the scenes who knows elves are always cunning."
"Thank you my friend, the weapon is now more beautiful than ever and more powerful, a fine addition to my growing collection. Don't concern yourself with the elves they are selfish they'll only aid the humans until they are of no further use to them." Ryu says as he lets Curtana disappear into thin air seemingly sheathing it.
