A Halo like Sun
"Why? Can't I call you without any reason? There has to be an issue whenever I call you?"
Felix got stupefied by the turn of events again. He can't really win against his grandma.
"Grandma, you can always call me and I'll try to talk to you at that time if I am not busy at work." He promised his grandma that he couldn't see her sly face.
'I am having a bad premonition.'
"Hmph… Promise me that whatever I am going to ask you to do, you will follow my words."
"As you wish grandma. I can't really make my beautiful grandma angry, can I?"
"Of course not. Now listen to me and you don't have any right to question back to me!
So today at 8 pm, you have a blind date with one of my friend's granddaughter. I know you don't like meeting girls in this manner but you didn't leave with any other option. You aren't telling me about your future plans, yet I am fine with it. But you aren't even showing any signs that you are planning to settle down in this lifetime which is scaring the hell out of me. I don't want to die without seeing my great grandchildren. Felix, I am only asking for one thing and you have promised me that you will follow my words and complete my wishes.
My dear little one, you do not have to like or fall in love with her at first sight. Meet her and if you feel a little comfortable with her, I can arrange for more dates so that you both get to know each other's likes, dislikes etc and get used to each other's company. That's all I am asking from you, Felix. Don't disappoint me this time too." Grandma finished her not so short speech with her sobs.
She felt emotional, she didn't think that her tears would come out naturally. She sobbed silently and bit her lips to stop her cries. However, her grandson wasn't any normal and he could detect her sobbing.
"Grandma, don't cry. I'll do everything you ask." Just don't cry. You know if grandpa got the wind that I made his dear wife cry then he would come after my innocent life. If it happens, who will go on the date later tonight?"
Felix tried to make his grandma laugh. It wrenched his heart, he couldn't stand his grandma crying and sobbing.
'I also love and value my precious life. Now I have a goal and an aim to find my girl before anyone snatches her.'
Alex rubbed his arms, "Why am I shivering? The air con is working perfectly yet I feel as if I am standing on the north pole." He mumbled to himself. He wondered since it was odd to feel glacial cold.
She steadied her breath after crying, "Should I expect of you to not ditch this date?"
Although he wanted to disagree with his grandma's request, "I'll go. I won't ditch."
He said through gritted teeth. He wasn't angry but feeling annoyed at his own situation.

"You didn't have to be so cruel to the poor child, friend."
"I am not being cruel. He deserves it for acting too high. I know he won't go there. He is a very determined man, who only focused on one goal and currently his goal is to find Esther and get to know her."
Both the guys in ancient clothes chatted. They had white and blonde hair over it, there were small clouds, forming a circle on the top of their head; a halo. The cloud wasn't blue, rather it was bright orange in color, just like the ray of the sun.
They weren't humans. They were angels and at this moment they had fun as they glanced at a furious looking Felix.
"God A, you never understood how arrogant this mere human was, all because of his charming looking face which I hate to say is surely an eye-catching one."
"God B, I never cared for overbearing humans. I had rejected the jury when they were discussing giving me the job to look after these people. I am gladly happy that they acknowledged my request."
"God A, I am feeling jealous of you. You got a nice job now while I have to suffer here. This Felix guy is the most lofty one I have encountered till now."
"God B, I don't agree with you. He isn't arrogant or conceited. He had worked harder than others to achieve everything. It wasn't a cake walk. He had shedded his blood. He wasted his youthful days while his age mates were enjoying the best of their life in college. He, on the other hand, worked day and night without any break. He has every right to be lofty if he had worked like a slave. It's his time to rest and enjoy his life."
"God A, your words made me realise that my hate and contempt for him was wrong and baseless. He is worthy of more appreciation. He never complained even if he was in pain or suffering. He would conceal his feelings inside him yet he is a little better than Esther. She is the worst case in this. She never lets anyone get close to her anymore. You know, it would be exciting to witness how he, a charming self made billionaire will court and chase after her, a man hater."
"God B, it would be more exciting and exhilarating and thrilling. It won't be a normal roller coaster ride, instead it would be 'Son of Beast Roller coaster', surrounded by danger at every step. It would all end either in a happy ending or …."
"God A, I would hate to admit but again you are right. None of them is a regular human being. They have their fair share of secrets, some of which are life threatening. I don't like to say yet their journey ahead isn't a walk full of roses. It has more poisonous thorns than the sweet smelling flowers."
"God B, however I trust them, Felix and Esther, they have the capability to overcome every obstacle in their life alone and as a team too. But the thing I am worried about is something else."
"God A, I can get what you are trying to say and to be true, that is the most horrifying incident. Still I can trust them to not let their bond be broken by any outsider or be it their evil plans."
"God B, that's why I am here. I'll try my best to help them and keep all the evil forces as far away as possible."
God B smiled at God A.
'Felix, my dear child, your search for true love is going to begin. However it won't be limited to courting and chasing your girl. It would be mending her heart with your love and making sure that it always remains strong. You also have to make it clear to others that both yours and her heart only yearn for each other.'
