Chapter 1 - Broke Up

As I stood in the doorway of the bedroom while Mo Ting packed his bags.

"I just need some space," he said as he threw his clothes into his large bag.

"Does this have anything to do with Zhi Wei the other night?"

"Ru Wen, come on, I told you this got nothing happened ."

I rolled my eyes at him.

"But you tell me a lot of things, my dear."

He threw the last of his clothes in his bag and turned around to face me.

"We both knew we were heading for this, things have been craggy for a while now, and you should know why." He accused me.

"Oh! But this craggy only for you because now you are has found something else that better, isn't it?" I spat.

He then let out a heavy sigh.

"I'm sorry Ru Wen. Here, listen. I really just can't do this anymore." He said honestly.

Then I followed him to the small space we call the living room as he dropped his bag on the floor. He reached in his trousers pocket and threw some money on the table.

"This is for the next couple of months so you can pay the rent." He kissed me on my forehead and headed for the door.

I crossed my arms and stared at him.

"Bastard! I don't want your money, instead, I want you to stay. Please, baby, don't give up on us."

I said as I was now the most pathetic person in the world, begging a bastard boyfriend to stay. But I know this was not because I was still in love with him, but actually just because I was afraid of being left alone, and being alone was something that was all too familiar to me.

He picked up his bag from the ground and slung it over his shoulder.

"Sorry. Please, take care Ru Wen," and just like that he walked out.

As he goes, I just stood in the middle of the living room and looked at the closed door as tears escaped my eyes. Mo Ting and I have been together since a year of college. We both attended B NationalUniversity together and met at a university party when he was a friend of my senior. He was a good looking guy with his 6ft and a basketball sportsmanship build.

Though he was not exactly the good looking type for a guy, but for me, he was handsome. And he always kept his hair perfectly combed, and his dark brown eyes reminded me of my one favourite thing in the world, chocolate.

As Mo Ting was the person who always lit up the environment. So this is a charm of him and his romantic gesture always swept me off my feet.

Mo Ting studied Economics while I studied Art. It was not too long after we graduated that his cousin got him a job at the large bank where he was employed.

So this is how we ended up moving from B city to S city too. And Mo Ting worked full-time in an economics department and made quite of high earned too. But as I, in contrarily I just able to take on a part-time job at art gallery company and finish painting the pictures I promised the art gallery.

Even though we are just able to rent a small apartment in this big city, but it was our home for the past year and it made us happy.

At least I thought, we live happily.
