Young love, yet to be a couple
The sunset rays shone inside her cabin. It made the room's ambience a little low since the LED lights were turned off.
No human breathing could be observed. The darkness got clear for a while due to the sunrays from outside.
Esther had already left the company premises at 5 pm, way earlier than her usual leaving schedule. She would stay up till late to wrap up her things, due to which she was always ahead with her work. Before she went out, she had instructed Kylie to go to 'Stella's Salon & Boutique' for a makeover, so that she would look like Esther.
Esther knew for the fact that she had given her promise to her grandma that she would attend the date planned by her. However, she was Esther Ross, if not her, then who else could outsmart her grandma.
"Sorry, grandma. But you were wrong when you thought that you could trap me."
She was afterall, her grandma's obedient granddaughter and a loyal follower. She understood that there would be consequences to her actions, she knew she would have to face her grandma's outrage.
Esther messaged Kylie about her departure and also told her to reach the boutique on time.
[ Kylie,
I am leaving. Be on time for the date. Also I had told Stella about your arrival at her store. Just reach there and she will manage the rest for you. ]
She took the elevator to the ground floor and ushered herself into her car and then it zoomed on the highway with a speed faster than the wind. Esther reached her destination within time. She parked her car in a secluded area. Since the sun had already set down, the stars and the moon were taking over the dark sky.
The area where Esther arrived was located near to a narrow downtown valley. There were rundown and broken buildings on both sides of the road. The street lights kept flickering; on and off. Her surroundings were frightening enough for a girl. One could see old rated cars with broken glass shield windows.
She continued to walk until her footsteps took her in front of an almost demolished building.
She didn't have to look around to see if she was being followed by some local goons. She walked over to the decolourized wall of that building. Using her heels, she kicked aside the fallen piece of wood, with the same foot, she pressed the sole of her barefoot on the sky blue coloured part of the wall. A hidden door appeared out of nowhere. She wore back her heels and this time she used her hands to open the door as it had a small thumb scanner on it.
After the scanner showed a green light, she took her hands back and another verification came in her eyesight, a retina scanner. She used her right eye to do the scan, then the door opened with a clunk sound since it was made up from a mixture of some rare and unspecified metals.
She moved proudly inside it. The door automatically closed behind her when she entered through the clear path. Another metallic door appeared, she waited for it to do a full body scan of hers. Then it unlocked, she kept taking steady steps to her journey's end point.
When she had walked for over 3 mins, she paused and the guards standing near it, unlatched the door for her. She moved past it.
A girl came and bowed to Esther, behind her was a boy in his early twenties. He kneeled on his one knee with his hand one on his chest closer to her heart.
"Rise", Esther ordered the guy, and the boy stood up. The girl had already ended her bowing. She stared with her a gap between her legs and her hands on her back. The boy followed the girl's similar movements. He ended up in the same position as her.
Esther with her hands folded on her chest, "How's he doing?"
The girl moved forward, "My lady, sorry that we have to disappoint you but he hasn't said a syllable about his boss." She said through her gritted teeth.
The boy sighed at her, since between the two of them, she was more on the aggressive side while he was her exact opposite. If she was fire then he was the water. She loved to torture their victims and give them an instant death whereas he would rather take his precious time in instilling an excruciating pain to them.
His partner was easier to rile up although it was a whole different case when it came to him.
"My lady, I assure you that by tomorrow you will have every little information related to him." The guy took the girl's clenched hands in his, as he could see the blood dripping from her hands.
Esther shook her head at the public display of affection by the young couple, who yet didn't realise their love for each other.
'Young love, the sweetness and adventure that it brings, I hope you both can survive through it.' She prayed for the yet to be couple.
'I pray that you both don't have to endure the pain that I have to.. Esther, stop it! You had taken the oath to never think of the past again. It has happened and it's in the past, now you can't turn it over.' Esther scolded herself for breaking her own personal rules.
She coughed to get their attention since the future couple failed to grasp their own environment. They forgot that they weren't alone and their lady boss was standing there with them.
"I want to meet him." Esther said in a slightly gruff tone.
______________
"Sir, why are we leaving an hour ago before the date time?" Alex's curiosity got the best of him. Adding the cherry on the top was Felix who ignored his noisy assistant.
He was immersed in his own work by the outsiders; driver and Alex. Although it wasn't the true case.
Felix lost his interest and motivation to do his office work, since his mind was constantly bugging him with the message that he got from the girl and the feeling of detachment and loneliness released by it. It was an odd experience for him yet what caught his interest was the way it reminded him of himself.
For a second, he almost wondered if the sender was an alternate version of him. But then he threw away that stupid idea.
