(Continues this story from the previous chapter 2...)
One day, amidst the bustling world of academia, Chalee and Snow, two souls intertwined by fate, devised a plan to meet casually at the university canteen. It was a setting that had witnessed countless encounters, but none would be as memorable as this one.
Chalee, ever the eager romantic, arrived well before the agreed time. He stationed himself at a corner table, his heart pounding with anticipation. His eyes, deep pools of longing, scanned the entrance continuously, eager to catch the first glimpse of Snow.
...
Their fondness for each other had grown naturally, blossoming in the shared halls of the university. Yet, they had never exchanged contact information, perhaps believing that the universe would always find a way to bring them together.
Chalee planned to surprise Snow, his heart brimming with an affection that shone through his every glance.
However, fate had other plans. Snow received an urgent call from her family, compelling her to return home immediately.
Unaware of the twist in the tale, Chalee continued to wait, his love for Snow crystallizing with every passing moment.
...
When Snow arrived at her home, her world shifted yet again. Inside, she saw an unfamiliar man surrounded by his family, engaged in earnest conversation with her father.
Curiosity piqued, Snow quietly moved closer to eavesdrop, her heart sinking as she grasped the gravity of their discussion. The stranger was proposing marriage, boasting of his prestigious Bug lineage and the grandeur of the wedding ceremony being planned without her consent.
Summoning her courage, Snow stepped into the room, interrupting the conversation.
Her father's face softened upon seeing her, masking the gravity of the situation for just a moment. "Snow, how are you doing, my child?" he asked. "You haven't been home lately. I've been worried, dear. Come and sit; I have something to tell you."
Feeling the reins of her future slipping away, Snow spoke up, her voice trembling with urgency. "Dad, I have something to tell you too. Please hear me out first and don't be angry."
Her father's expression changed to one of stern resolve as he listened.
"Since I joined the university, I've grown fond of someone. He is kind, handsome, and understanding like you. I wish to marry him after my graduation," Snow confessed, her heart pounding in her chest.
Before she could finish, her father's hand flew out, striking her across the face. Hurt and bewildered, Snow watched as her father retreated into silence, his eyes refusing to meet hers.
He stormed away, leaving behind a trail of shattered dreams. Snow called after him, but he remained unmoved, a sorrowful pillar of pride and tradition.
Finally, her father emerged, his voice a somber mix of anger and sorrow. "Go live your life as you wish. But do not return to this house, not for any reason, even in the future."
Her heart breaking, Snow wept as the weight of his words sank in. Unable to bear her tears, her father roared, "Get lost now!"
Devastated by his rejection, Snow left for the university, tears streaming down her face.
When Chalee saw her, his concern grew. "What happened?" he asked, seeing the sorrow etched in her expression.
Snow remained silent, her heart too heavy to speak.
"It's okay if you don't want to talk about it," Chalee reassured her gently.
In his pocket was the surprise he had planned—a proposal, a promise of a future together. Despite his own nerves, he tried to lighten the mood. "Shall we go somewhere?" he asked.
Just as he was about to stammer through his proposal, Snow interrupted him, her voice clear and unwavering. "Senior, will you marry me?"
Chalee was taken aback, his surprise quickly melting into joy. "Okay," he replied, without a moment's hesitation.
With newfound resolve, they decided to register their wedding as soon as possible. But just then, Chalee's phone rang, its insistent tone hinting at another twist in their tale.
