Chapter 1 - Dream Come True!

Staying up all night playing games is nothing new to Ian. He just pulled another all-nighter playing the popular game Eden. It has sold billions of copies and is played by billions everyday. Ian however has a job so he always goes to work without any sleep. But this does not affect his performance at work as he is always a hard worker.

The job he is currently doing is construction working. He lifts heavy objects, helps others, and leads a team of his own as a squad leader. He is greatly loved by his team and boss, a truly exceptional worker. But no one knows that he plays Eden almost the entire time hes out of work. he goes home, takes a shower in his home, and puts on his clothes.

He strolls to the VR capsule next to his bed and puts on the headset and slips into the capsule.

"Welcome back Undertaker, Would you like to log into Eden?" The robotic female AI said.

"Yes" Ian replies

The name Undertaker in Eden is known by all players, as he is the #1 player in the world. He is #1 in power, wealth, and guild ranking.

He is famous for winning over 10,000 PVP battles and not losing a single one. His wealth was over 3 billion platinum easily surpassing second place which only has 1.2 billion. And his guild called Ravens is currently #1 with the guild master being him and the players consisting of the top 1,000 players.

Ian's vision turns white and loads him into the game. But when he opens his eyes he expects to find himself in the Ravens guild base only to see the blue sky. He looks around confusingly as he sees that he is sprawled out in a flat grassy plains with his back to the ground. He gets up and pats himself only to realize all his equipment he has on is gone. He swipes his finger to the right while saying

'inventory' in his head and it displays a set of empty boxes.

"Empty?! how can that be! This has to be a bug in the game." Ian Exclaimed

"Maybe if I log back in my items will appear" he says hopefully

Ian swipes his finger and instead says the word 'log out' in his head instead. But instead of the prompt showing up telling him to confirm logging out nothing pops up. His heart rate increases as he keeps swiping only to not see the log out button. He starts to sweat and his hearts beats even louder. But his heart is not beating out of anxiety and nervousness but in excitement.

"D-Did I get trapped in the game!" Ian yells happily

"Finally I can live in the game now! I'm so happy, My dreams finally came true!" Ian is now hopping up and down on the grassy flatland.

He swipes his finger saying 'Stats' and it pulls up his character stats

Ian not looking at his stats did make him feel a little frustrated as 10 years of grinding and effort just vanished. But he also felt a hint of excitement as he was going to start from scratch again and this time its a new life.

Ian knowing already understanding his class puts 5 points into intelligence to boost his mana up to 50 and puts the other 5 points into Agility.

putting the points in made his entire body feel lighter and he felt a warm flowing energy in his body. This is a new experience for Ian as this never happened in game. His body feels better than before and the energy coursing through him fill his body with power.

Ian looks around and takes off running towards a dirt path leading into the forest. He can feel the increase in his Agility as he is now running faster than he could in real life. Since Ian played this game for so long he got an idea of where he exactly is.

He is currently in the Skull Forest, it is near the city of Holgun in the country of Wilhelm. If he continues on his path he will eventually end up in Holgun but it will be difficult.

The Forest is called the Skull Forest as it is riddled with Undead, they are usually low level but high levels occasionally spawn. This is especially not good for Ian as he is only level 1.

After 10 minutes of running he runs into he first undead. It's a skeleton with a battered and rusted sword, and shield. Ian quickly hides behind the bushes.

'hmm from the looks of it its a normal skeleton, they usually range from level 1-5' Ian remembers

since Ian has knowledge from his time playing the game he casts one of his skills

"[Dark Chains]!"

The skeleton then gets his arms and legs bounded by dark black chains from the floor freezing it in place.

Ian grabs a rock and hurriedly slams the skeletons skull repeatedly but it does not completely cave in. The chains let go after 4 seconds of grabbing to the enemy.

The chains drop allowing the Skeleton to swing his sword. Luckily Ian put the points into agility and backs off as soon as the sword was swung at him.

"Crap, one more time, [Dark chain]!"

The chains envelop the skeleton one more time and Ian goes in and bashes its skull at the same exact spot again. Only this time the entire skull caves in killing the skeleton.

+15 experience points

Level up!

You Are now level 2

10 skill points have been added!

Ian recognizes the robotic female AI to be the system and opens up his stats to puts 4 into strength, 3 into Intelligence, and 3 into Agility.

Ian feels the Warm energy and his speed increase but just not as greatly as before. Instead he feels all his muscle tighten and expand giving him more defined strength.

'now since I put the 4 points into strength It should make it easier to bash the skeleton's skull in' Ian thought

Ian was now running into a skeleton every 5 or 10 minutes or so in his run towards Holgun.

Using his newfound strength he bashed the skeletons skull in only a couple bashes now allowing Ian to only use his [Dark Chain] once. The only downside now is his Mana, as each [Dark chain] Uses up 10 Mana each time.

Thankfully his Mana regeneration is 6 every minute and when he levels up his Mana is restored with his Stamina, but he does not know if his health gets replenished.

Ian eventually reaches to the entrance of Holgun. The entire city is surrounded in a circle with high stone walls. After coming out of the forest he has gained 2 levels bringing him up to level 4. he put 5 into all stats respectfully increasing strength, Agility, Intelligence, and Vitality.

Ian feels like a new person walking out as he feels much more powerful than before. Ian approached the big rounded entrance to Holgun. It looks like his stamina increases as he pushes himself to his limits to exhaustion and leveling up.

two guards holding the entrance come out and greet him

"Hello sir, it looks like you went out to the forest and came back. I would like to see you ID please" The guard said firmly

'oh crap' Ian thought

"Uhh sorry looks like I might've lost it" Ian said nervously

"I'm sorry Sir, I'm afraid i cant let you i-"

"Come on Zach you gonna leave a young man like him out alone?" the soft voice said

Ian turned to the left and saw the other guard walk up and put his armored hand on top of Ian's shoulder.

"let him in Zach, look at his clothes. It looks like he got attacked, probably mugged right kid?"

Ian was actually 24 but he does look like a 17 or 18 year old, So he went along with it.

"yeah your right I got mugged, I just didn't say it out loud cause its embarrassing."

"Nothing embarrassing about getting mugged, just get stronger so it dosen't happen again. Now get your bum in the city kiddo." The middle-aged man with soft voice patted Ian in the back and winked.

Whoever he was Ian was grateful for him and walked into the streets of Holgun.
