Ian has now spent over an hour pushing further into the Forest and he has yet to spot the herbs he has been looking for.
Ian knew that the further he went in the more dangerous it would be. But this did not stop him from his goal, he ventured deeper and deeper.
Ian fought the skeletons but they barely get any exp, it got to the point where the skeletons stopped giving him exp all together. His Exp now is only 50 out of 150 making him have to hunt tougher enemies. But Ian already knew this was how it was going to turn out.
When He glanced around he finally found the herbs he was looking for, only to see something huge blocking his way
He notices a huge bear crouching by the stream he was next to. The bear at least 3x the size of an adult grizzly bear. It had a huge scar on its face, starting from the right ear all the way the down to the left side of its chin.
Ian knows exactly what this bear is. The bear is called the War Bear as it is tamed and used as heavy mounts during wars.
Luckily though the War Bear seems to be sleeping, the War Bear is an mid-intermediate opponent which means its much stronger than Ian right now.
Ian as of right now can probably beat high-basic tier or maybe a low-intermediate opponents with all the zombies and using his skills.
Ian crouches down determined to get those herbs, but he gets an idea. He calls one of the zombies over to go fetch the herb as the zombies are just disposable pawns to him.
While the zombie strides forward to grab the herb Ian stares at his reflection in the water.
'What the!?' He realizes that his face has gotten at least 5 years younger or maybe 6. His straightened brown hair was now a little curly, and his overall facial features have gotten much younger.
'damn, I knew I had a sort of young face but I didn't think I actually looked this young' Ian rubs his face exploring the newfound youth
'for some reason my age really did become younger in this world, strange' As Ian was thinking this he saw a reflection of a small green person behind him in the water.
Ian knew exactly what it was and turned around and casted.
"[Dark Chain]!"
The chain being lvl 2 now is stronger now gripping the goblin. But it wasn't just any goblin, it was an undead goblin. What makes these undead types worse is that they have unlimited stamina and don't feel pain.
Ian threw the remaining 4 of his zombies onto the goblin ripping off chunks of flesh and an arm off. He then charges in himself and slices its neck.
Due to the effects of [Undead Lord] he cleanly chops through the head.
+15 experience
Ian grinned when he heard this notification. The zombies and skeletons were all low-basic monsters giving him almost no exp. The undead goblins were towards the mid to high basic monsters giving him more exp.
But thanks to this commotion the War Bear opens up its eyelids and eyes down Ian.
The War Bear immediately gets up and swipes at the zombie right next to it, the one collecting the herb, killing it instantly.
The War Bear leaps into the air trying to pounce directly onto Ian.
Ian with his Agility quickly back-steps out of its range letting it face plant the floor.
"[Dark Chain]!"
'Shit I didn't think this one through, the chain is only going to hold him down for a second. I have to act fast'
Ian thought as he stepped backwards.
Ian was right as he saw the Chains were already breaking as soon as it was casted. He took this short chance though to let 4 zombies pounce onto its backs and start mauling it.
Ian also rushes in and tries to plant the sword into the Bear's forehead.
but as soon as the sword touched the bears head, it shattered instantly into a million pieces.
'Shit its hide is too strong, I have to find another way!'
The War Bear gets up and swipes its massive claws at Ian. Ian was too busy thinking of a way to harm the bear that he barely noticed the claw.
Ian backed up but the Bear managed to graze Ian's forearm causing three claw marks to appear on it. Blood oozed from them as Ian gripped his arm in pain
'Crap!, one swipe did that much damage'
While the War Bear was too busy fighting the Zombies Ian remembers the scar on the bear.
'wait a minute, there was a scar on one of his eyes. It looked like it was closed too, maybe because that eye is blind. Maybe the eyes are its weak spot!' Ian, using this newfound knowledge ran towards the bear.
Ian really never kept up with weak spots in monsters in the game as his reanimated corpses always mauled the monster to death. This time Ian was taking this seriously as he will die permanently this time.
Ian grabbed the broken sword and used its broken tip to lodge it into the War Bear eyes.
It roared in pain as it was now completely blind, Ian quickly turned around and reanimated the Undead Goblin
"[Rise Undead]!" The goblin slowly stood up with black smoke coming out of its eyes and mouth.
Ian ordered it to attack the War Bear and Ian now casted [Dark Chain] on it one more time.
This caused the War Bear to stop for another second but allowed Ian and the Goblin to attack the War Bear's eyes again.
Now pools of red blood oozed from its eyes as it swung wildly, not being able to see its prey.
Unfortunately this killed 2 zombies leaving him with 2 zombies, and undead Goblin, and Ian.
'We can win this!, its completely blind and now we have an advantage. I cant wait to see how much exp this will give me' Ian thought while a creeping grin curved up on his mouth.
