The War Bear thrashed violently as it has not felt this much pain since it got that scar. It wet on its hind legs and roared loudly to try to intimidate Ian. It then went back on all fours and charged at Ian's general direction, hopefully hitting him.
Ian saw the War Bear charging straight at him but he easily sidestepped and jumped on top of the bear stabbing its scarred eye.
Blood squirted out like a fountain but the War Bear was not done just yet. It shook off Ian and blindly thrashed, striking Ian's leg. It left a huge claw mark on Ian's leg letting a gush of blood came out of Ian's leg.
Ian could only grit his teeth and charge forward this time. The War Bear heard Ian's footsteps in front of it and it swung violently in front of it only to not hit anything.
That was because as Ian was running towards him he slid right under the bear to get behind it. Now that Ian was behind it and the Bear was confused he stabbed the scarred eye one more time delivering the broken sword straight through the brain.
Ian knew the War Bear died as it fell over, and hearing the system notification.
+160 experience!
Congratulations you are now level 6!
+10 stat points!
+5 bonus stat points for defeating a hard enemy!
+10 For all stats for defeating your first intermediate monster!
+5 skill points for killing a mid-tier intermediate monster!
Ian grinned at these new stat points and skill points. This allowed him to grow stronger. Eventually he could kill the mid-tier intermediate monster without summoning any undead but he still needed to level up more.
Ian put 5 points into strength and the rest into intelligence as it helped increase his mana proficiency. Ian realized that the weapon breaking mid quest would be problematic in the future so he opened up his skill tab
Ian put the 5 skill points into [Weapon Conjuring] to get the skill. He felt a new skill imprint in his head as he now knew immediately how the skill worked.
"[Weapon Conjuring]"
black smoke emerged from his hands and it morphed into a sharp tipped dagger with a curved tip on each hand. It had pitch black handles and a crimson blade. The handle looked amazingly carved as it perfectly fit his hands.
This was now perfect for Ian as his weapon will not break which is always good. As long as Ian does not run out of Mana mid-fight he would be good for weapons.

The good thing about the necromancer class is that he could carry any undead with him. Since his [Rise Undead] skill is lvl 2 he can hold 6 monsters now. He de-summoned all of his zombies and the one goblin and looked at the War Bear.
"[Rise Undead]"
The War Bear body slightly convulsed before it stood on all fours again. The eyes and mouth now bursting with black smoke.
Ian now had a really strong companion with the [Undead Leader] skill giving Ian and the War Bear a buff of 20% since there were 4 undeads filling the slots. For Ian it would be 20% buff in any magic spells as he was a necromancer and 20% buff for the War Bear in strength. The buff varied from the person or undead.
What was strange though was that when he killed the War Bear its monster core was on the ground. The monster core was the heart of a monster and it allowed humans to grow exponentially.
They used it as power sources and materials for equipment. Ian now had a mid-intermediate core that could sell for a decent amount of money.
Ian went to grab the last remaining herbs and headed back to Holgun.
As he approached Holgun he saw that his health slowly regenerated over time. The walk was an hour long and it allowed him to have 120 hp. That was 1 hp per minute, not bad at all.
The guards looked at Ian weirdly as he had a huge claw mark on his shirt and pants but they could not see a big injury on him.
They ignored it, allowing Ian to walk through the rounded entrance back to the Adventurers Guild.
